Dionysos loves you.
no matter the things you've said, no matter what mistakes you've made in your life, He understands. He is the god of those mistakes, the madness and pain that interlaces with it all. better than anyone, He understands.
Dionysos is the god of those who cry "why is this happening to me ?". He is the god of those who scream "what did I do to deserve this ?", as He knows all too well that not even the Gods can change the will of the Fates.
Dionysos is the god of those who weep "who could ever love someone like me ?". He is the god of those who mutter "I'm a monster". He is the god who hears your crying. even if you can't feel Him, He is there
Dionysos is the god of those who groan "I just want to feel okay". He is the god of those who feel nothing as they say "just one more". He embodies the gifts of Wine, and thus He knows all too well your suffering.
Dionysos is the god of your pain, and He loves you. He is a god who heals, who allows you to build yourself back up. no matter how low you are, Dionysos will be in the shadows weaving you a latter of vines.

u know what makes me cry..... that one van gogh quote about life changing for the better..... “many people seem to think it foolish, even superstitious, to believe that the world could still change for the better. and it is true that in winter it is sometimes so bitingly cold that one is tempted to say, ‘what do i care if there is a summer; its warmth is no help to me now.’ yes, evil often seems to surpass good. but then, in spite of us, and without our permission, there comes at last an end to the bitter frosts. one morning the wind turns, and there is a thaw. and so i must still have hope.” yeah..... Crying....
The Demons
These entities which have been constantly claimed to be evil by Abrahamic religions are much more than what they have been portrayed to be. This is an account based off my many years of working with these beings and speaking to them about their history, mindsets, and values.
Origin: As the demons and deities have told, Jehovah is not actually the supreme deity, rather an imposter for the Source (whose counterpart is the Queen of Heaven). The first demons to exist were once angels (agents of the Source/Queen) and the majority of them were deities (since “angels” is an umbrella-term for all sorts of spirits tasked with directly serving the supreme deities). When Jehovah had arrived to seize control over the Universe and Earth, Lucifer, the first-born deity from the Source, had led a war against him; yet this traumatic battle ended horribly. Jehovah’s power as an Aeonic god (a deity who creates the physical and metaphysical Universes) outmatched the power of the Universal gods, yet he had been crippled. He banished the divine beings who rebelled against his tyranny into the land of torment, Hell, and destroyed their original homeland.
Upon arriving in Hell, the fallen angels became demons due to the dark energies of Hell; this caused them to lose their divine glow and become more dark and intimidating in appearance. Their wings blackened, they grew horns, and some even developed spikes on their bodies or red eyes. Yet they remained beautiful in some darker way, but their hearts were broken. The most powerful of the demons were Lucifer, Satan, and Leviathan, they became the High Kings and sought out to build their own kingdoms in Hell, each kingdom following their own values. From this time on, they became primarily focused on war and revenge. Their new realm was used by the divine Judges to send evil souls to be punished, so the three High Kings can determine torments for them (all evil people are sent to Hell, whether they follow Jehovah or not).
With the rise of Abrahamic religions, the demons and even some polytheistic deities were labeled as “evil” and were taught to represent the very things which they opposed. Where they teach Lucifer to represent lies, he is instead truth/knowledge, Mammon as greed when he is generosity, Lilith as infertility when she is life/motherhood, Asmodeus as lust when he is love. Yet it is as they say, that the “victors get to write history” and the rebels who fought against a tyrant are portrayed as the ones who are evil. Additionally, not all demons began as fallen angels, as some were gods whose people had been slaughtered and the deities had lost themselves to grief. But instead of allowing them to suffer, many had been recruited by Lucifer into his own kingdom.
The Three Kingdoms:
The kingdom ruled by Lucifer and his wife, Lilith, is set in a desert wasteland, but some demons managed to develop oases here. Queen Lilith is viewed as the demons’ Mother Goddess due to her many children and her motherly nature. This kingdom has many areas which are filled with tormented corrupt souls, even gruesome scenes of them being torn apart over and over or having unspeakable things done to them. The values of this kingdom primarily include the seeking of knowledge, wisdom, justice, and developing strength through hardships. Overall, Lucifer is the Initiator towards Illumination, the prime light, and the beam which shatters ignorance.
The kingdom ruled by Satan and his wife, Ashtoreth, is a dark volcanic land. The landscape reflects strongly Satan’s personality of being easily angered, rebellious, fearless, and destructive. He has many people being burned alive in pits of lava and many other torments within his domain. Satan’s kingdom primarily values military might, aggressive revolutions, and strength of character. Satan is the fiery rebel who incites civil unrest and causes revolutions. Without him, there is apathy and submission to dictatorships.
The kingdom ruled by Leviathan is a desolate place of steep canyons and emptiness; the energy of this place can fill a human with crushing loneliness beyond imagining, only the demons can withstand it. This kingdom is the most well-defended one since Leviathan focuses primarily on defense whereas the other two are moreso offensive. King Leviathan is a draconic deity who rules over loneliness, desolation, solitude, and deep feelings of despair. He was once one of the Watchers who dwelt in the sea of Earth, but after the War, he greatly changed. Overall, Leviathan destroys everything that is redundant, whether it be places, people, or ideas; he tears through them all. He tends to be cold, calculating, serious, and very withdrawn.
Values: Overall, demons are wise beings who seek to darkly illuminate individuals of truth, no matter how upsetting it often is. They also teach people how to be strong by putting us through hardships that we must overcome, yet will offer advice if asked. The demons are therefore pedagogues who urge us towards overcoming our weaknesses and seeking spiritual evolution so we may become stronger than ordinary humans. Due to their painful past of great loss, the demons are one of the spirit races who best know what it means to overcome suffering and to instead allow it to transform you. They often teach this when asked, otherwise, they usually target evil people during their lives by inflicting bad situations upon them or causing them to have cancers or other health issues.
The demons value wisdom and strength that is gained through walking the solitary path through Hell. It is a path that tears a person apart until they are finally reborn as something far more capable and understanding of who they truly are. It is demons who know that wisdom is paid for through blood and the sacrifice of one’s current self, and they seek to teach humans how to walk this path. Typically, the demons do not hold the majority of humans in high regard both for the obvious reasons and because they have watched humans allow themselves to grow weaker over the ages. They seek humans who are willing to step into the abyssal darkness in order to find the light, and those who are willing to forego all that they were taught so they can learn the truth. They teach that once a person removes all of their chains of emotional burden and false beliefs, it is only then that they will they be free and find illumination.
Hierarchy: The highest-ranking demons in Hell are the High Kings and the Queens. These rulers are the ones who appoint promising and trustworthy demons of their courts to certain military ranks of nobility. These (in order of highest to lowest) are as such: kings, dukes, princes, marquises, earls, knights, and presidents. There is also a War Master for each kingdom, whose authority is second-in-command to their High King. The Goetic demons (the nobility of Hell) are all deities whereas the non-nobles can be either deities or semi-divine demons (as offspring of other demons). Among the nobility of Hell are also the children of the Kings and Queens, since they through blood hold a significant title.
Demons are also capable of being exiled from Hell if they turn traitor. Although exile for demons means that they will be tortured to death; upon the death of a spirit, their manifestation is torn apart and it takes many years (sometimes hundreds) to reform. Once they reform, they cannot return to Hell. There have been plenty of traitorous demons in Hell, as not all of them remain loyal and every race of beings has their fair share of corruption. For demons, some begin seeking more power or destruction and so often secretly pledge themselves to the snake-god of evil, Apep. This causes the rogue demons to begin trying to assassinate their own kind, but are quickly discovered and sentenced to a horrific death. Due to these, it is important to remember that not all demons are safe to work with and that it is best to go through their rulers when asking for who best to trust. However, the majority of the Goetia have remained faithful as only a few have ever been exiled; so they are typically safe to work with.
Working with Demons: When working with the demonic race, it is best to keep an open-mind and be honest with them. They strongly value those who seek to learn more about who demons truly are and who also seek to better themselves through hardships. Remember to be respectful of these beings and to not treat them in belittling ways (such as calling them nicknames). It is also wise to dress appropriately when calling upon them to manifest in your area; do not dress in sleepwear (especially for the Goetia or other royalty). Additionally, make certain that you do not use any ritualistic summonings to call upon them, as they will be offended by this and leave (no evocation triangles or anything of that sort). One can however feel free to use their enns to either call upon them, meditate upon them, or chant the enns to bless things in a demon’s honour. Make certain that you treat them just as you would any honoured mentor and do not mock them or make lustful moves towards them since there are many demons who do not hesitate to punish humans for doing this.
Overall, remember to be polite (no need to be overly polite but be respectful at least) and take time to give them offerings when they do something to help you. As a word of warning, there is a species of malevolent spirits called “tar spirits” which like to pretend to be demons at times. If a demon is acting strange towards you or is being harmful, there is a strong chance that it’s actually a tar spirit in disguise and can be banished by using an astral attack.

Perseus: An unusual hero
Something that always struck me as interesting was that Perseus is considered the “archetypal” hero, who slays the monster and gets the girl. But in context of Ancient Greek mythology, he’s actually an extremely unusual hero.
Firstly, let us examine where Perseus in the chronology of myth. He is the great grandfather to Herakles, placing him early within the mythological timeframe in the age of heroes.
The first unusual aspect of Perseus’ myths is that he does not do anything distinctly human. Herakles, Jason, Kadmos, etc all plow fields within their mythology. Achilles and Patroclus do distinctly human things — like Patroclus healing wounds and Achilles playing the lyre. At most, Perseus is described fishing. But this may have been an ironic dramatic addition, due to Perseus and his mother being fished out the sea.
Heroes are meant to be humanised by doing human things, but Perseus doesn’t. He goes straight into beheading Medousa, killing the sea monster, and eventually defeating Dionysus’ army. This makes him extremely unusual because he only does great things instead of human things.
The slaying of Medousa is also another example of Perseus’ unusual nature. The myth of Medousa is one of maturation, where Medousa’s death has Perseus mature. Perseus was a young man and managed to overcome what should’ve been a death sentence that he was sent to. By the guy who wanted to make his mother a slave abs dispose of him — Perseus just wanted to protect his mother.
His birth was even unusual. Zeus came down in the form of a golden shower and Danaë accepted (erotically welcoming it even, as shown by vase paintings).
There is also the fact that Perseus, a mortal, defeated Dionysus’ army and even killed Ariadne. Pausinas even describes a hero cult that was dedicated to the maenads that Perseus killed:
Pausanias, Description of Greece 2. 20. 4 (trans. Jones) (Greek travelogue C2nd A.D.) :
“The tomb near this [the temple of Zeus Nemeios at Argos] they call that of the maenad Khorea (Chorea), saying that she was one of the women who joined Dionysos in his expedition against Argos, and that Perseus, being victorious in the battle, put most of the women to the sword. To the rest they gave a common grave, but to Khorea they gave burial apart because of her high rank.”
Pausanias, Description of Greece 2. 22. 1 :
“The temple of Hera Anthea (Flowery) [in Argos] … before it is a grave of women. They were killed in a battle against the Argives under Perseus, having come from the Aegean Islands to help Dionysos in war; for which reason they are surnamed Haliai (Women of the Sea).”
Pausanias, Description of Greece 2. 23. 7 - 8 :
“The Argives have other things worth seeing [in their town]; for instance … [the] temple of Kretan (Cretan) Dionysos. For they say that the god, having made war on Perseus, afterwards laid aside his enmity, and received great honors at the hands of the Argives, including this precinct set specially apart for himself. It was afterwards called the precinct of the Kretan god, because, when Ariadne died, Dionysos buried her here. But Lykeas (Lyceas) says that when the temple was being rebuilt an earthenware coffin was found, and that it was Ariadne’s. He also said that both he himself and other Argives had seen it.”
Perseus in one extremely local tradition even temporarily kills Dionysus and the locals would lure him out of the lake Perseus left him in for worship and rites. A mortal shouldn’t be able to defeat a god, but he did. Even without the extremely local tradition, Perseus still defeated Dionysus and killed Ariadne with Medousa’s head in the Panhellenic tradition.
Relationship with Andromeda (and Hermes)
Yet another unusual aspect to Perseus’ story is his loyalty. He never betrays, abandons, or cheats on Andromeda. There’s no children out of wedlock. While Perseus founds many, many cities, there’s still no children out to wedlock. It is through Herakles that Alexander the Great and many other men trace their linage back to Perseus.
Some ancient authors believed Perseus and Hermes to have been lovers at some point and that the sandals, Hermes’ sandals, were a love gift. This is only case of Perseus ever having a relationship outside of Andromeda.
Perseus’ lack of other children is unusual considering his founding of many cities. Many cities claimed to have been founded by Perseus. Later in antiquity he was regarded as the forefather of the Persians (though Perseis is also considered the foremother of the Persians by some authors). He was paid great honours in Athens. Argos claimed to have the grave, and therefore hero cult, of his daughter Gorgophone. There’s many more, but he is reputed to have founded many cities yet does not have children outside of Andromeda.
It is ironic that Perseus, a hero who is unusual within the context of Ancient Greece, is considered the archetypal hero. I imagine this is the case due to media popularising Perseus’ exact kind of story. Most of all, I’m excited to be doing hero worship of an extremely usual hero, who did so much.

✨ Witch Tips for Stressed Witches ✨
Life has been quite stressful lately, so I thought I would share small practices and spells I use to reduce my stress and anxiety when times are tough…
🍂 Spend time near nature as much as you can, even if it means looking at trees from your windows / balcony if you live in a city.
💨 Learn breathing exercises, like 4-7-8 breathing, and practice consistently to reduce your anxiety.
🧘 Meditate. If you cannot last 15 minutes, try 10, and if not, try 5 minutes. Meditate daily to connect to your inner self.
🌿 Apply lavender on your hands or pillow before going to bed, to sleep peacefully and reduce stressful thoughts.
👝 Make a anti-anxiety sachet with rose petals, lavender buds, and amethyst. Carry it around or keep it next to your desk to draw power and peace.
☕ Reduce your coffee and alcohol consumption. Replace with herbal teas and remind yourself to drink enough water during the day.
📝 Make a list of everything that worries you in your journal, then close it and make the conscious decision to keep them where they are: on the paper and not in your mind.
❤️ Be kind to yourself. Celebrate every tiny task you can accomplish, and forgive yourself for the ones you cannot do.
✨ Find casual magic around you everyday, even if it is just the way the wind blows softly on your face, or that bird you saw flying near your window.

Aphrodite
The Greek Goddess of love, beauty, sex, war, fertility, pleasure, desire, procreation, and the Morning Star.
In order to get a better understanding of this goddess, I’ll be writing an analytical view on her myths and epithets. It may come as a surprise to many that Aphrodite is connected to war, but upon closer look at her nature and correspondences, we can see that she is not merely a pink goddess of softness, though she can indeed be gentle.
In modern times, Aphrodite is commonly associated with all forms of love, but she is primarily romance and self-love. She adores connections of all kinds but true love is the heart of who she is- of romantic conversations, devotion, roses, and a lover’s embrace. She is the blesser of marriages in one aspect, as well as a very sexual goddess. It is she who knows that true love causes no pain, for all things that tear romance apart is the absence of complete love. Thus, she can help grant success in finding a perfect partner.
When Uranus, god of the heavens, was defeated, his phallus was cast into the sea. Suddenly, a bubbling of blood and sea foam emerged at the surface. From this arose a giant scallop shell (representing the vulva), which bestowed upon the world a goddess who outshone all other things in creation. She stepped upon the shore, resplendent in her nakedness and smiling sweetly at the enraptured deities. Wherever she stepped, flowers grew and the birds came to sing to her. The Horai (the hours) clothed the goddess born of the heavens and sea and brought her to Olympus. The Horai clothing Aphrodite likely symbolize that Aphrodite is of all times of day, for she is beauty and beauty does not end.
As a goddess of fertility and procreation, Aphrodite adores children and nature. She is very cheerful, motherly, and sweet when in a good mood and is so wise and compassionate. In mythology, the Greeks assigned Aphrodite with the following children: Deimos, Phobos, Harmonia, Adrestia and the four Erotes (Eros, Anteros, Pothos and Himeros). From these children, we can see the attributes that were associated with Aphrodite from the Ancient Greeks. We have Deimos “dread”, Phobos “fear”, Harmonia “harmony”, Adrestia “revenge”, and the Erotes who represent sex and desire. These express Aphrodite’s dual nature of compassion and rage, of the calm and raging sea. She was likely assigned with Ares by the Greeks in order to portray Aphrodite’s more warlike and passionate side, and is shown as being a lover in order to portray her sexual nature (it does not mean she actually has that many sexual partners, it’s more of a metaphor).
Although she is usually gentle, compassionate, and joyful, Aphrodite is very complex and can even be more “dark” in nature. She is the femme fatale of the gods, the thorned red rose, and the black swan. She is called by many epithets such as “heavenly”, “unholy”, “laughter-loving”, “friend of flowers”, “killer of men”, “ally in romance”, “ally in war”, “grave-digger”, “she upon the graves”, “night-loving”, and “the far-shining”. She represents emotion in all its forms, from love to hate. Wherever romance or beauty can be seen, Aphrodite is there. Wherever confidence or comfort is seen, she is there. As a war goddess, Aphrodtie was known to have command over the fates and could bend humans to her will, allowing victory. No one could stand a chance against this goddess in battle.
My personal experiences with Aphrodite have been very complex, almost as much as she is. She tends to appear to me as a “femme fatale” sort of woman who has a sensual yet powerful aura. Other times, she appears naked or in an elegant revealing dress. In this form, Aphrodite is more soft, joyful, and friendly. Though she always has very long wavy hair (either strawberry blonde or black) has blue eyes, a tall and slender body, and red lips. She always smells of perfume and her voice is like honey. I’ve noticed that some of her favourite things to do are go on walks through gardens, watch romantic or horror movies, read (she loves Shakespeare most), write poetry, or sing gentle songs. Her favourite colours to wear seem to be red, pink, and sometimes white. She is fiercely protective as well and cares for her devotees like they’re her children. Aphrodite doesn’t seem to accept her Greek myths and has encouraged me to question how she is portrayed, saying that she is far more devoted and compassionate than the Greeks believed her to be. She states that she is married to a god from a different pantheon but declines to share and also states that she is not as vain and vindictive as many would assume.
So overall, Aphrodite is absolutely wonderful and generous. She has been deeply understanding of me during my path and loves to help in any way she can. She loves pampering her followers and helping them to love who they are and gain healthy relationships. She isn’t always bubbly and can be calm and serene as well, and doesn’t always like to speak excitedly. Though she does adore meeting and befriending others and is friends with many deities and other entities. She accepts all people (unless they’re oppressive) so she hates terfs and their ignorant thinking as well as anyone else who threatens the well-being or freedom of others. So if you need a goddess to lift you off your knees, comfort you, and show you how to fight, Aphrodite is definitely the one to go to.
