Hey Guys!
So many of you may already know, but I am currently auditioning for Carolina Crown! I would really love to march there, but money will be tight. If you can, please donate on my gofundme page. Drum corps means a lot to me and this year may be my first experience with a world-class corps. I would greatly appreciate any donations made! I am also willing to do work or jobs available near me! Thanks you guys!

Freeze! You’re under arrest for being so nice and cute. Copy this message to 10 other blogs that you think are beautiful and deserve it. Keep the game going and make others feel beautiful ❤ (ノ´ヮ´)
THIS IS SO NICE THANK YOU <3
One thing I’ve learned from band is that hard work always pays off. Even if you think that nobody notices you be the first one to get set, the one who stays late to make sure all the equipment is properly stored, the first one to get to zero hour in the morning, or the one person who stays after almost every day of the week to practice their music, someone is seeing what you’re doing and your hard work isn’t for nothing.
I have a question, does your band director not see pit as percussion most of the time? Mine does and it's irritating. Like, one time he said "Last year we got first place drumline" and I was like "Really? It's first place percussion, including pit!"
For our school, when we say drumline we mean the whole percussion ensemble. A lot of schools interpret it this way. In my experience, if something is specific to battery, they will say battery. If it is for the whole percussion ensemble, they say drumline or percussion.

HEY I'M BUYING NEW MALLETS
And don't know which kind to get. We know that we want a series that is durable and has marimba and vibe mallets. Who has any suggestions???
Dude
You are actually the coolest person ever. Thank you amazing band person
It was submitted to me. Whoever submitted it is actually the best person ever
No problem.
do you have any advice for learning runs??
1.Start super slow, if its a run at 170, take it at 120 to start.
2.USE A METRONOME. IT DOESNT MATTER IF ITS A FREE APP, $5 MET, OR A DR. BEAT, JUST USE IT.
3.Take small chunks first, then connect them to make the whole run.
4.REPS, REPS, REPS. It won’t seem like it’s getting better, but each time it is.
5. Speed up little by little (ie. by 6 bpm or so).
6.Spend time everyday to work on it.
7. Continue to practice it even after you have it down
Hope this helps!
