jinx had no recollection of the events that occurred the night prior, but laying next to you, she couldnโt help but feel the same drunken love. leaving small, yearning kisses along your face, she began twirling your hair around her fingers, playing with the curls and whispering sweet nothings against your skin. as your eyes slowly fluttered open, blinking away the sleepiness that enveloped you, jinxโs face burned almost as red as it did when she was drunk, quickly turning to her side. โi have a really bad headacheโฆ can you get me some meds?โ she spoke with conviction as if the past few moments didnโt exist.

โright, so what iโm gathering is she ditched you?โ you were flabbergasted just by the mere idea that jinx would ever do such a thing, especially to youโher own girlfriend. and you were right.
jinxโs magenta gaze stared into the two of you as some man spoke at her. she couldnโt help the burning in her chest, the racing of her heart, the way she felt her soul drop like she fell off a hundred-floor building. she felt her voice clawing at the interior of her throat, daring to yell out to you. but something was stopping her. maybe it was the curiosity, maybe it was the doubt, maybe she couldnโt trust you like she thought she had. however, as the woman loomed over you, hand caressing your back, face barely inches from yours, she felt herself explode.
โand what the hell do you think youโre doing,โ her voice erupted throughout the bar, silence following in suit. her shoes clanked against the floor as she walked towards you and your supposed friend as she thought. her mind was racing a million miles a minute, โwhat if you leave, what if this makes you not love her anymore?โ she couldnโt bare the idea, but she couldnโt control herself, her words falling out of her mouth faster than she could retain control. she had no idea who she was when she began lashing out, not only on your friend, but you, too. before she could even realise, tears welled up in her eyes as she started hyperventilating, pure sobs came following shortly thereafter.
โjinx,โ the sound of your voice, calm and soothing, had begun to take effect on her reaction. she looked at you, anger still fervent in her eyes, but beginning to dim as you took her hand in yours. you wrapped yourself around her, embracing her with warmth and affection. tears slipped down her flushed cheek as she melted into you, taking in the smell of your perfumeโthe one she liked best.

as the night passed by, there were small comments thrown at the two of you, jinx holding your hand practically constantly, the knowing smiles, the way you wrapped yourself around her the entirety of the night. obviously, someone was bound to mention it. โso, are you two official now?โ
your face flushed, your skin hot as you pulled yourself away from jinx. jinxโs eyes darted across the room, a red hue plastering her cheeks and ears. it was so very obvious the crush you had on each other, but you both refused to acknowledge it.
