Wow. It’s been almost a whole year. And what a year it’s been-!!
Finding out I had breast cancer last May and going through chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, and severe liver damage from the immunotherapy that helped cure me-
After all of this, I’ve made it.
My surgeries are done. I still tested negative for cancer. I just have to get checked by my doctor twice a year for a few more years. I lost my long hair, but my chemo curls are coming in super strong and super curly!!! The second drawing on this post shows my actual current hair length and texture, heehee. My path of recovery from these procedures is long, but going very well so far.
Right now, life is peaceful. Life is good.
Thank you to every single person who reached out to me along the way. Even if I wasn’t able to directly respond, please know that the love and support I received always arrived right when I needed it most. I am beyond grateful for everything. If you are reading this, you have my warmest thanks.
About my art…..
To be honest I haven’t drawn or written almost anything since my treatment began last July. I had to focus 100% of my energy towards getting better and staying afloat during my extremely rough treatments. Whenever I tried to make something my mind was as blank as the canvas. What also hasn’t helped, I am only just now tapering off of some strong medication I’ve had since January that gave me severe hand tremors. I couldn’t even write my name until last month. It sucked.
I’m shaking off the cobwebs though! I can feel that creative spark returning. I’m rusty right now but I’m building up my skills and abilities again. I can’t wait to get back to it.

…I don’t have a solid timeframe for that return yet. But it’ll be as soon as I can! I’ve already said I fully intend on seeing the story of the Sworn Partners and the lost little Elfilis to its end!!
On my end, I’ll keep practicing and getting back into the joyful process of creating again! I need to regain the line confidence and technical skills I had before all of this started. But I know I can get it back. After all, I’ve made it this far!!!

While you're waiting for the introductions, here are all the character concepts for the NEXT GENERATION AU (I actually like the concept art here a lot so I sometimes steal the poses for the intros fyi)!
There's the fellas I've always drawn with new redesigns as well as some new guys! I feel characters like Skirby and the Meta-knights got done dirty by past me and they have a much more important role to play.
I am very happy with these designs, and doubt I will ever change them again, rather I will likely just add onto the roster with more characters like Noir and whatnot. Expect the other intros to happen at some point once I'm in a good enough spot to fully come back.
Hello, I feel I need to say something after a few weeks of quietly struggling, but I currently am having to unfortunately accept the fact that I can't focus on this account's art production at the moment. It has been very hard to find a professional to treat my condition and with the fact this is a condition that cannot be directly medicated plus the current on-goings in America as a queer person and child of a immigrant have weighed heavy on me. I have accepted that I could possibly die from this stuff if not kept in check and need to very heavily prioritize it in my life or there will be some level of consequences.
I might not be able to post like I wanted to in the start of this year, and will have to take things slow. That being said I am going to try and still engage with people here, and am definitely going to still be in contact with those I am mutuals/friends with. If we are mutuals but we don't have a dm history I do not mind being contacted over discord at all.
If I am to draw, it is likely not going to be related to Kirby stuff, and probably original content that might get uploaded to my alt and my website though I am planning on unlinking my website so I can update it. I was really hoping to start off with a bang but my health said otherwise lol.

Since there were a few people who asked about relationships and pronouns, here's a little chart for some of the characters. Specific rambling about character relationships and characters I didn't cover in the image (and yes, Pike is trans, she's bigender).
So to start out, the relationship in here with Kirby is Kirby and Ribbon, who I felt bad for sidelining majorly for no real reason (she already gets sidelined enough) so I decided Kirby would marry Ribbon and the two would be the main royalty and be the one to raise Arthur. Plus the Kirfluff in the original I'm not the biggest fan of anymore because it felt out of character for Kirby to act the way I wrote them to be.
Dedede and Meta are dating (though Meta would never put it that way as he considers term too basic) and have been dating since likely after KF2 and before FL, though their relationship was a secret until Dedede retired because Meta didn't want it to be public that a monarch was dating a person like him. Meta also was against marriage since that would give him political power, and he has his reasons to be against that. Even now that Dedede isn't a monarch anymore the two are fine with keeping things the way they are (I hc marriage is more for people in some leadership position on Popstar, Marx and Castella are an exception).
In reference to that one manga, Chilly and Magolor are an on-again-off-again thing. Hard to tell when they're a thing or when they're not.
Carol and Leon get a shoutout here too since their child was shown/mentioned like once then never again. They are a pair, though have no idea what dating is, they're just being called that for simplicity's sake.
And finally Marx and Castella, who I obviously would never get rid of. They started dating probably sometime after FL, then got married way later on. The only reason they were able to get married is because Marx is a court jester who was able to pull strings for it to happen.
Pronoun stuff (Notes and characters I didn't put in the image)
Kirby is a genderless being, and uses mainly He/they but doesn't mind if other pronouns are used for them. Their mirror variant is the same.
Gooey is also a genderless being and uses any and all pronouns.
Pike is AFAB, though identifies as bigender and goes by he/she.
Castella is a transwoman and goes by she/her.
Galacta/Morpho now uses exclusively they/it pronouns for this AU, since they are the same species as Kirby.
King Fluff goes by he/him (and is the same species as Meta)
As a child Arthur is referred to as they/them pronouns (being the same species as Kirby/Gooey), though later on he goes by he/him.
For the rest of the G.S.A, Nonsurat is he/they, Falspar and Jecra are he/him, Dragato is they/them, Atem (who?) is he/it, and Garlude is she/her.
For the Meta-Knights, Vul, Trident, and Mace are all he/him, Sailor dee is she/her, Axe knight is he/they/it, and Javelin is they/them.
For the animal friends, Nago is obviously a transman who goes by he/him (look of calico gender percentage its actually interesting), Kine, Rick, and Coo all go by he/him, Chuchu is she/her, and Pitch is they/he.
I think that's all the characters that will show up in Nextgen's intros, remember that the next group of Nextgen Intros is the next art post for this AU!

Well…happy pride. I made a comic last year here which covered my queer hate to queer pipeline I had as a kid raised in a Christian conservative community. That comic was originally just meant to be one-off until the election happened in which I wanted to make another one. The increased queerphobia (ESPECIALLY transphobia) happening within the US is frankly infuriating. I’m less afraid of my own safety (no matter what the state of the US’s view of queer people is, I would be miserably in the closet for most people I know and the ones I wasn’t still consider me subhuman which I assume is why I feel this way) and more for other queer people, especially my trans friends. I don’t really have much to say other than please stay alive, if you have to celebrate your queerness in hiding then do so. If you have to reach out to others to support you in times of crisis then do so. You are not alone, there are millions of us, many who are protesting these attacks on us. Hell, there’s even cishet allies who protest alongside us because they want us to have equal rights. So please keep hanging on!
