New guest artists + Chapter 4 is near completion! + Translations soon

Every Chapter is longer than the last one. I finished writing chapter 4 and ready to finalize and have it proof-read. My personal deadline is Christmas, which is my holiday gift to you all :)

I’m also going to revise chapter 0, 1 & 2. They need a new graphical overhaul and explanations need to be improved. It’s been 1 year and I’ve noticed many beginners seem to struggle. It’s my fault and responsibility as a teacher, so i’ve decided to expand them with common questions and struggles from people who’ve used Pixel logic to create their first pixel art.

I’m also translating the first 5 chapters of the book. These chapters are the first part of the book, so we’re halfway there! I’m currently having them French and Japanese. I do the French translation myself, and Chapter 1 - 2 have already been translated into Japanese by a fellow translator. Spanish will be coming later on.

Pixel Logic is an in-depth pixel art tutorial book with over 200 pages!

This book focuses on VISUAL learning and limits text as much as possible, unlike other tutorials. Images > Text.

The tutorials cover pixel art from start to finish, by studying video-game graphics from the past 30 years; with topics ranging from creating initial lines, to fully animating sprites. These tutorials will not focus on my own personal methods; instead they will combining examples from the past with modern application!

New Guest artists, Chapter 3 nearly done.

Keep an eye out for their contributions in the next chapters.

It seems, ... that every new chapter I make is bigger than the previous one! It somewhat makes sense, since the difficulty curve goes slightly up from here. I have a feeling it'll be like the Harry Potter books: later chapters will be shorter again. The current chapter: "Colour" is a big chunk, but i'm trying to keep it strictly to pixel art.

What I've got planned for Chapter 4 and 5 is Readability and Dithering.
