Its such a weird concept to me tbh cuz my characters don't usually change like at all? Except my main, sometimes. But like if I have an OC from 2015 I'm still not making an updated ref in my new art style unless their look has changed or their original pic is just so bad quality that it doesn't reflect how they actually look so the whole concept of people feeling they NEED to update their ref has never made sense to me lol. My 2013 ref is good enough 🫡
