seeing lando so happy is everything 🫶
while i cannot be happier after a weekend like this one as a lando fan, let today be a reminder that oscar piastri is a terrible teammate and an even worse team player. not only was he, for the life of him, completely incapable of getting anywhere near leclerc, but it took him nearly 10 laps to close a 4-second gap (from 7 to 3 seconds), while lando pulled a 3-second gap to leclerc in literally one (1) lap. in the same car.
then, lando literally says, “where’s oscar? i need him to put charles under some pressure.” oscar keeps cruising with zero urgency, stuck in no man’s land. even when he gets close, he backs off. stallard says nothing about helping lando out. instead, he tells piastri to “get close to the action for opportunities,” like he’s banking on the top three crashing so piastri can steal a win. lando asks for a bit of help—after everything he’s done for piastri—and he doesn’t give a damn. no mention of putting leclerc under pressure. no interest in being a teammate. it’s not even about always helping lando out—he’s never asked for anything. but the one time he does, the one time he needs a bit of help, he gets ignored. after all the times lando’s backed piastri, given him tows, held others off, pressured drivers for him, even handed him wins, nothing.
my GOD that's one hell of a smile 🥲🥲🥺
“what on earth is going on at the Indianapolis motor speedway today” EXCELLENT QUESTION.
dunking two seconds on charles on the last lap was a power move from lando
thinking about cisca today.
i just can’t stop thinking about what it must’ve been like for her when he was little. imagine watching your little boy disappear through airport gates again and again, knowing he’s chasing something incredible, but also knowing you won’t be there to hold his hand when it gets hard. knowing he’s scared sometimes. that he might get hurt. that he’s so small, they literally had to strap him into the kart like a crash dummy just to keep him from flying out.
and you’re not there because someone had to stay behind. because there are other kids to raise. because the family had to split itself down the middle to give one child this shot.
and now he’s standing on the monaco podium. and she wasn't there for every lap along the way, but she was present in every reason he made it. in every sacrifice, in every frustration, in every tear. in the quiet ache of loving him enough to let him chase something bigger, even if it meant watching from afar.
i don’t even know how she watched today without sobbing. i would’ve been on the floor.
i hope she knows she’s part of that win, part of every win, even if she hasn't always been trackside. because without her sacrifices, he might not have made it at all.
idk why 81s are so upset anyway. the better person simply won this weekend. grande lando 👍
To my mum and dad, love you 4ever. P1 in Monaco ❤️

lando norris, who has been having massive problems in qualifying all season, set the fastest lap time ever done at monaco to take pole
i’m so fucking proud of him he’s fucking incredible
blocking isnt enough i need to deactivate other people’s accounts
Seeing this smile back, I could throw up I'm so happy.
