Her as she is now

Cassie is smarter than she lets on— manipulative and cunning. Her dynamic to fallen is that of appeasement, as it is with every follower. But what she cant make up for in quantity is the quality of her victims. Very much able to take out important people and sway things in his favour and has easy access to an ever rotating supply of high quality bodies due to the travelling nature of her job. Shes diligent and really wouldn't ask questions if fallen pointed to someone and simply uttered the word "kill". she adores him.

She prefers to project herself as some terrible little inhuman imp. Shes quite proud. Boisterous in the way you would expect a performer to be. Her sense of humour can lean pretty morbid at times, sometimes inappropriately so. she is strange and erratic. She likes feeling and inflicting pain and doesn't really care for the concept of taboos. Shes crass. She calls people names, slurs even. Shes mean. And is absolutely euphoric about it. Ragebaiter supreme. Grown ass woman btw.

A Glimpse Into The Past

She was born sometime in the mid 70s. Being the first child and only daughter left her with a need to overachieve and become the perfect child. She excelled at math and science, an absolute 'gifted child' bringing home awards, joining student council, writing speeches and projecting the charisma she was expected to have. It was far from easy for her, but she had to act as though this was effortless. And it never exactly went appreciated the way her brothers' achievements were. Her mother was dismissive, tearing her down for anything less than perfection and her father was a bystander. But she found solace and comfort in the arts, Particularly abstract painting. A craft mainly honed and practised away from home at the extra curricular activities she partook in.

As she got older things changed as much as they stayed the same. High expectations. Cassie was discouraged from further pursuing art after graduating with a scholarship, going to university as an honour roll biology major. and ending up in a sorority with girls she didn't like, wearing stuffy preppy clothes she didn't like. doing something she was genuinely interested in, but it felt hollow. But she used her body, wit and charm to get by until she couldn't take it anymore. Which happened sooner than anticipated — Boiling over into her having a meltdown, lashing out and attacking one of the girls in her sorority and in that instant her life was over. That night she fled; She didn't know where or how, she just knew she had to get away.

This is when she meets fallen masquerading as an angel. He was kind, sitting with her at the bus stop and talking her through what she just went through, wiping the blood from her nails. He was patient with her and even offered sound advice, most importantly he told her not to let herself die out there. He steered her away from leaving society entirely and instead led her to a carnival where she was allowed to cool off, live and even work. And boy did she thrive! Not at first, but once she got into the swing of things the dizzying blur of lights and costume made her feel alive like nothing else, finally getting to know herself as a person. This newfound euphoria sparks an obsessive fondness for the man who steered her down this path.

*Fallen comes back to check on her a few months later and she insists upon paying him back. Taking him back to her trailer. At first he protests, expressing that he would like to wait for her to be in a better position mentally but also physically. she ends up getting what she wants by appealing to his ego and his need to be adored. So he obliges, not exactly informing her of the consequences. But she is elated with the outcome

Now, onto her Design!

She was the first follower to be designed way back in 2021, but that wasnt her original nor intended purpose, the story didnt exist as it does now, Cassie instead started out as something of a bait character for one of my partners, essentially the same personality, if a little less ... Fine tuned.

Design from December 2021 compared to September 2024, the taller design went unused so was scrapped.

This is also why she has less explicit ties to specific animals in her design and more so resembles a clown doll. Most of the tweaks from her old design to now were simply to have her fit within the style and feel more deliberate as a person. Her human design is infinitely more of a fascinating story as she initially wasn't going to have one, ive mulled back and forth on it

I deliberately went for a more conventional pretty design when it came to designing her human self, but the obscured face and voided out skin serves to remove her humanity in a way she would present her past self. I hope It gets across the fact she doesn't feel comfortable as a human. She didn't have much agency in how she dressed or looked so i referenced a shit ton of 90s media for THE prep look n put the good ol lunar spin on it.

If forced into a more human form for whatever reason after becoming a follower she would default to something like this. A carnival flier for a face instead of a missing poster

A few fun facts about this thing

Cassie's chosen name is Carcass, Cassie was a nickname from her coworkers that stuck once fallen started using it. Her birth name isn't your or anybody's business.

Shes bilingual, her second language being Chinese.

tests her poisons on herself first. She likes this.

Her initial characterization after her overhaul was based on the song SADOMASOCHIST by IMPOSTER. She is also associated with Bang Bang Bang Bang by sohodolls, Pathological Facade by GHOST and some Fukouna Girl Synth V Teto cover i found on YouTube that later became a sort of rough voice claim

As much of a dick she is.. she cannot bring herself to harm kids. At least directly.

hates stuffy/fancy/formal clothes. she prefers either baggy or breathable fabric

loves coffee and coffee flavoured things

She is the youngest follower, only being in her early 20s

she is a second generation immigrant

despite me drawing her with the other followers its unlikely they will ever meet.
