sonic 3 thoughts (Spoilers!)

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLYYYYY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

oh my god it was so good. like my only gripes were the trailer clips were 1:1 in the movie

but, like? right into the action? no silly human sideplots? SUPER SONIC AND SUPER SHADOW FUCKIN DECKING IT OUT??

the FANSERVICE (like direct nods to game stuff) was tasteful/well incorporated in! Of course the moral message might have been a little shoehorned but it worked, but Sonic's crashout was completely unexpected though. But it was done so well!

I was kinda surprised that the "reform Shadow" pep-talk wasn't done by Sonic or Tom or Maddie or something, but it was, somehow, done by Shadow himself talking sonic out of the crashout (but sonic sticking the landing)

Also, the post-credits scenes? I knew they wouldn't kill off shadow (obviously) and was spoiled for Amy 'cause I ignored the big spoiler tag but I still shouted in the theater when Metal Sonic showed up. God I'm excited for Sonic 4

so fairly recently i beat DOOM Eternal. Cool yeah? I had a sinful thought.

In 2005, Sega released Shadow the Hedgehog for the GameCube, Ps2, and Xbox(?). Now, Shadow's self-titled game was about demon(ic alien)s invading Earth and Shadow (canonically) stopping the invasion. DOOM Eternal is about demons invading earth and Doomguy stopping the invasion. Brain put two thoughts together: Sonic combat can feel really good even when it's just the homing attack and stomping, and that these games were fairly similar in their basic plot starting points.

So I dowloaded Infinity+. Might post here as the game develops.
