current fic ideas for sauces include like. intricate alternate universe. that fucking lovecore fic that's been plaguing me for months. that other fic wip that's been plaguing me for months. i need to take this character's gay ass to the botanical garden. i need to write five million words about declan shepherd. and five million more about niche religious sects in spectre that will literally never be relevant

thinking abt elegy & declan again and declan's habit of getting themself involved with fucked up strangers completely by happenstance. thinking about them carrying that gold-laced knife in their boot and the way they find release for all of those old aches in supervillainy so they don't end up hunting their friends for sport again or doing shit that gets them killed. and thinking about their complicated relationship to violence and death and the fact that they're nonlethal but they know their boss isn't and that's an acceptable compromise to them. i won't let anything like nemesis or 5 happen again but a few murders here and there well it happens. non-interference policies. i'll carry it with me i'll advocate against it but in the end it'll almost never be a deal-breaker (until it is). the violent bloody escape from the nexus and the welcoming eli home without ever batting an eye at their systemic hunt-and-killing of the people who were in charge of it. declan's dubious morality and the ways in which it isn't immediately obvious and the ways in which elegy doesn't and can't know the full shape of it -> the holes in her string-board that keep her from putting the (frankly absurd to consider) dots together about her little god-ghost-apprentice. dec & shepherd's the killer / the final girl dichotomy. the way that shepherd doesn't flinch away anymore either. dec's gotten worse again maybe but they're never letting go of the quad even as they dig their way down to hell. Does her ghost know how well they've taken to supervillainy? of course he does. it's an old dance with more careful steps
