drops a dagger in her lap. when removed from the black leather sheath, she’ll see that the blade is jet black but somehow luminous. and razor sharp. he radiates impatience — this is her birthday present and he’s dying to know how she likes it.

she lifts her eyebrows. even before the dagger hits her lap, she can see the impatience coming off of him in waves — can’t say that she’s surprised. there’s a snort of laughter that edges on fond, an exaggerated roll of her eyes before she can even think to stop it. 

humming, she unsheathes the blade, eyes it curiously. maybe she’s imagining the glint of light off the edge, but it looks sharp, dangerous.

she loves it.

she flashes him a broad grin, slipping the dagger back into the sheath. “this is fuckin’ cool.”
