CHRIS EVANS + giving me a reason to live
˗ˏˋCHRIS EVANS in random interviews [01/?] ˎˊ˗
idk about her, but when a married man wants to cheat on his wife with me, i simply laugh in his face, screenshot everything, send it to his wife, & block everybody. Not gonna drag me down in this. She made her choice.
my entire kingdom for a glimpse at eugene and beckys texts
Kieth and Eugene look like an angry goth mom and stay at home dad taking their sensitive young son Zach to family counseling
that motherfucker had ten whole days between the legal end of his employment at second try and it leaking to the public/being officially announced plus nearly a decade of work in internet media and the best he could come up with was “lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship”??
The drama (both directly and tangentially) that Harry Styles caused September 3-5th 2022 is unparalleled
Just a reminder that because of Ned’s stupid fucking decisions, the Try Guys Food Network show has been moved from its previous slot (Wednesday night I think) to 10am Friday. I heard somewhere that Fridays, and Friday mornings at that, are basically the graveyard slots for TV shows.
I have a feeling reason they’re so furious is they didn’t establish HR properly because they trusted Ned to handle it, only for him to pull this shit.
AND, I think they know some sympathetic detail about Alex and her involvement in the affair, which is why they haven’t fired or otherwise removed her from public mention. Like there’s something about this that was serialised Ned behaviour, or Alex wasn’t in a clear enough position to say no.
Eugene’s face? The comment about how women are treated in these situations? Something is up and it’s not really Alex’s fault, that’s my opinion.
I don't think he was just talking about Alex there. I know during the week YB, the other Food Baby, received quite a bit of hate from fans because they can't keep their Asians straight thought it was her. And I know for a fact that the vitriol pointed towards her was just the tip of the iceberg of what Alex received. For all the people saying "hold Alex just as responsible" I feel like they're not paying attention to the type of hate each is getting. Ned right now is the internets joke. While people are angry, disappointed and sad by him, the main attention he's getting is as the internets joke. Alex us getting nothing but vitriol and probably quite a bit of slut shaming. She is being criticized in a way Ned will never know and all the people calling for her head are ironically contributing to this misogyny while claiming to be "equal rights".
But not only do I think he's talking about Alex but also Ariel. While she is getting a lot of sympathy and support what she does now after this is going to be heavily judged and scrutinized once again in a way Ned will never know. No one realizes women are held to a higher standard where they have to make the right decision that's expected of them which leaves little room for mistakes. As a black woman I'm very familiar with this concept especially from misogynoir where we only can be seen as the strong black woman and if we're seen as anything but society will just judge you and turn you into the angry black woman. My point being misogyny is the main contributor of this mentality but when you add intersectionality to it consequences end up much more harsh which I'm pretty sure Alex is experiencing right now.
Overall Ned screwed up big time and it's effecting more than just him. Yes Alex cheated as well, and is responsible for her own actions, but putting blame of Ned cheating on Ariel to her is exactly how you exercise misogyny and you aren't contributing to "equal rights" in the way you think. In fact, you're doing something worse...concern trolling.
Big credit to them for pointing this out and overall their professionalism. The tone was somber and very emotional throughout their address.
As a side comment: during the beginning of the allegations people went sure Ned did this but the employee should've known better or she, she, she. In an earlier try guys podcast they mentioned workplace affairs are cool and fun unless it involves a guy who is in power and a subordinate all while Ned was present. All of them knew it was not ok nor ever would be because of the power dynamic and the risks to the subordinate.
Second second side comment: recently a lot of people have also been coming after Ariel for still being with Ned. Which can we talk about how somehow everyone feels the need to villainize the woman and not her husband that cheated? They're also saying this is proof they're polygamists which no? If they were then Ned wouldn't of hid his relationship with an employee from her.
there’s something in this photo that i find SOOO attractive but i literally can’t figure it out 😩😩😩
