Eddie is the rough feel of the knife in Richie’s hand as he slowly, tenderly re-carves their initials, he is the determination in Richie’s chest as he stands, set on being himself, on proving Pennywise wrong, that who he is isn’t something he’s going to hide anymore.

They are the empty chairs the Losers leave for them whenever they get together. They are the jokes Richie tells, the places Bev sees, the houses Ben designs. They are the feeling of freedom Mike gets when he’s finally able to leave Derry behind for good, they are the dedications in Bill’s books, and they are the happy endings. Because they might be gone, that is true - but they will never stop being part of the Losers, and not even death can stop them from loving.
