“ Um…well okay” Melody felt herself start blushing, she wasn’t used to this kind of stuff, “ I like the beach idea…it sounds really nice.”
Stiles grinned, pleased that she’d agreed to it. “Alright, I can work with that. When d’you wanna go on this date? Because, y’know, I’m free whenever.”
plaiided:

“I think you and me should go on a date. Like…dinner and a movie, or a fancy restaurant, or a picnic on the beach, or a walk in the park, or…whatever you’d prefer to do on said date. Or, y’know, if you’re not into that - going on dates and stuff, I mean - then we can just… well, we could totally just make out at my place. I mean, whatever you wanna do, I’m in.”
“Really? That sounds great! Oh, I don’t know, we could —oh, I’m definitely into going on dates. Not that I’m opposed to the other option. The ‘making out’ idea, I mean. Definitely not opposed. Maybe both, then?”
He laughs quietly. She’s so cute. “We can definitely do both. Question is, though, what kind of date do you want to go on? Because there are a ton of things we could do. It’s up to you. The decision is yours.”
Stiles took her by surprise and she looked up from her magazine (which Lydia had made her read to get caught up on pop-culture) with raised brows. At first she hadn’t liked him that much, though mostly it came from her own bitter feelings about being human. With time, though, she’d grown really fond of him; he’d helped her through all of her adjustments, and she’d come to depend on him a great deal. “A date? Well, I mean – technically I’ve never been on one before. My parents didn’t get a chance to go over rules with boys when I was 8.” A smirk pulled at her mouth. “But I guess I could go for dinner and a movie. Whatever people typically do on dates.”
Malia was different from all the other girls he’d met. And not just because she was a coyote for so long. Right from the start, he wanted to help her. And when he figured out that she didn’t like him much (the punch to the face helped him figure that out), for some reason, he found himself wanting to earn her trust, although he hadn’t really known why. Eventually, though, she warmed up to him and here they were, far more dependent on each other than they probably should have been. He laughed at her words. “I’m sure you could just ask Lydia. Or consult one of her magazines.” he teased. “We can totally do dinner and a movie. Works for me. Now we just need to choose when and where.”
“A…date? Like a REAL date?” She’s hopelessly confused. “Are you being serious right now?”
“I mean, only if you want to.” Stiles says quickly. “It’s just an idea. I don’t want you to feel PRESSURED or anything.”
she’s just taken a bite out of her sandwich, and a piece of lettuce hangs past her lips. it takes elena just a moment to catch the greenery and not look like a complete idiot. his tone is so earnest, and his expression so genuine, that joking is ( out ) of the question. just to be SURE, she checks behind her; there was nobody there. the brunette manages to swallow before speaking.
❛ that’s—wow, nobody’s ever i mean: i’d ( l o v e ) to. go on a date, that is. ❜
he’s so distracted by calming his nervousness he doesn’t even register what happens with the greenery. stiles does not ask girls out on dates often – in fact, it’s a very rare occurrence – and he’s not even sure if he’s going about it the right way, so naturally he’s a little N E R V O U S. but she doesn’t seem to be reacting too badly, so he definitely considers that a bonus. he gives her a nervous smile and plays with his fingers, eyes never straying from hers so that his sincerity is CLEAR. her reply causes a wide smile to spread across his lips.
“really? oh, good, great, that’s awesome! --- so, when are you free? i mean, i’m free most weekends so i can bend my schedule to whatever you prefer. it won’t be a problem for me, so. y’know. whatever you wanna do.” he’s being a gentleman, although his words are true – he doesn’t exactly have a schedule packed with things to do. and even if he did, he’d much rather go on this date.
“ i think that a picnic on the beach this time of night is a bit EXTREME, but we can kill three birds with one stone. you and i will do back to your place, cook some macaroni together, curl on the couch while we watch the notebook. and then MAYBE we can make out. “
“Hey, it could totally work. --- Okay, maybe you’re right. It’d be dark and a little pointless. And romantic candles wouldn’t exactly work too well on a beach, right? But y’know, I actually like the sound of that plan. Although the fact that us making out is only a ‘maybe’ is kinda disappointing.” He’s only teasing, of course.
“All of those ideas sound really nice, actually. I don’t care what we do. Not as long as I’m with you.” Alone with him was always what she preferred. “Just as long as those dates lead to making out at your place.” Lydia gave him an amused grin, but she was serious. That last idea he threw out there sounded really, really good to her.
“We obviously can’t do them all at once, but hey, we can definitely do all of them at some point or another. --- Well, you’re the lady. You can pick whichever one you like the most and we’ll do that first. But all of them will definitely end with making out at my place. Or your place. Or any place.” He was grinning like a dork at the idea of going on a date with Lydia. Then making out at his place, of course. That was a definite bonus.

When Derekand Scott had suggested that Stiles get adefense teacher of some sort, at first, the human hadthought it was a pretty good idea. But then when theytold him his teacher was going to be Cora…well, he startedto see things a little differently. He began to worry aboutthe girl accidentally breaking his arms or legs or something. It wasn’t, of course, that he didn’t like Cora, because he did – even if she made him a little nervous. But, in a way,her fierceness was attractive. Not that he’d ever say so. Because he didn’t want to be murdered anytime soon. Whether that was by Derek or Cora herself.
After a fewlong hours of training, Stiles was currently taking a break, a bottle of water in his hand. They werein the Hale’s loft, just the two of them. Cora was a goodteacher, or course, but the problem was, Stiles kept gettingdistracted by her. The way her haircaught in the light, orthe surprising grace she had in some of her movements,or the way she rolled her eyes when he got somethingwrong. She was speaking, but he could hardly hear her.A flock of butterflies had unleashed into his abdomen and, before he knew it, he was setting down his waterbottle and walking over to her.
He walkedin long strides, getting to her in no time. Hedidn’t even stop to watch her reaction as his hands cameup to cup her face. He leaned in and pressed his lips againsthers, softly, without a second thought. He was going to kickhimself for doing it so randomly later on.
When Derek told Cora she’d be training Stiles, she was mostly annoyed, but if anyone was going to train him, they thought the she wolf was the best way to go. She may be just slightly taken by his stupid moles and homey brown eyes, but that wasn’t going to distract her from getting the job done.
Training had been going, adequate, for a few hours. Cora couldn’t help but keep count of how many times Stiles stumbled or lost his footing in a hold. The last time he let her flip him, she rolled her eyes and told him to take a break. It wasn’t her fault that he looked really good in his workout clothes, and it definitely wasn’t her fault that his mouth fell open in a perfect little ‘o’ when she explained how to properly defend himself.
When he started walking towards her, she raised her eyebrows and opened her mouth to ask him if he was ready to keep going when he grabbed her face and kissed her softly. Cora stood there frozen for a moment, eyes wide, before realizing that this was really happening and grabbing his shirt with her hands, eyes falling shut and returning the kiss with a bit more pressure than he was giving.
Stiles was still bracing himself for a punch when, suddenly, Cora’s hands latched onto his shirt and she was kissing him back. Surprised, but more than a little pleased about this, he deepened the kiss, one hand staying on her cheek while he trailed his other hand down to rest on her hip, fingers tracing soft shapes there for a moment before he used his grip on her to pull her flush against him.
Never, in a million years, did Stiles believe that he’d end up kissing Cora Hale. But he definitely never thought that she’d kiss him back (in the once-unlikely event that he’d gather up the courage to kiss her) the way that she was. Training was the last thing on his mind at this point. He used his tongue to gently part her lips, only so he could glide his tongue over hers. He was suddenly craving more sensual kisses, and that was where he was heading with this.
His heart was racing a million miles per hour and he was pretty sure she’d know that (because of her super-hearing), but it didn’t matter. Everything around them had melted away and all he could see, hear or feel was Cora. Soon enough, his lungs would be begging for air, but for now, he was savoring the moment.
