Why I Do Not Want Pity
Why I Do Not Want Pity
Originally Published: Thursday, 19 May 2011 09:59AM Things I have learned being Chronically Ill.
I have met a few people over the course of my life who have mentioned that perhaps I talk about being ill because I want pity. Even as a teenager. I can see why that would seem the case. I do talk about certain aspects of my chronic illness quite a bit.
Sometimes it’s because I am still getting used…

When you are #ChronicallyAwesome you try one more time. Now, listen for the whisper, and try again…
You are wonderful. You are Chronically Awesome. Remind yourself, daily.
Rare Disease Day is February 28th.
Just followed your blog. Please check out my two chronic illness blogs. This one covers all illnesses not covered by my side blog CFSFMMCSchirps which covers chronic fatigue syndrome & fibromyalgia. Thanks!!!

Words that stab anyone with Chronic Illness
Today my Kindle died!!! It might not seem like a really disastrous thing but to me it was. Having FM I spend a lot of time alone and reading is the one thing I can do to escape. Being bipolar I have my really low days, of which there has been many recently and the Kindle was my only escape from it all and I woke up this morning after another wakeful night and went to read and nothing........
The whole thing was wiped by an unfinished update from Amazon. Now Amazon being Amazon kindly said they will replace it as the fault was theirs but I was totally gutted today never mind the fact it took 3 hours to troubleshoot!!
So the new Kindle comes this Friday but in the mean time I have nothing to read as I have read all my books and I am just thumb twiddling!!
Thank god Amazon replace!!!
No? well fuck it because I’m going too.
First of all, if you work with someone with fibromyalgia or any other chronic illness never ever EVER compare your cold, allergies, flus, or any other problem/short-term illness that WILL subside to their illness. If you’re wondering why, DON’T WORRY, i will…
Question for you guys. How long after taking citroma should you stop cramping? I stopped having to run to the bathroom around midnight. The ER doc gave me some yesterday around dinner time before he released me and while I’ve stopped running to the bathroom, eating still causes a lot of discomfort. She told me this is normal, but I wanted to be sure that this fixed the problem rather than making it worse. Thoughts?
Alright so the lack of a freakout earlier is catching up to me now. I need to go to sleep, but I am genuinely scared of taking this medication for fear that the side effects won’t be worth it and I’ll end up in radiation or surgery or whatever the other options are. I have heard very good things...
Praise be to Pan digestive enzymes. My unexplainable “poor stomach function” is now at least partially soothed after I eat. Now if I only knew what was actually wrong…
