i can understand when people say "it's lacking 2D/damon vocals". that's understandable, though i personally never worried about that because gorillaz has a sound that i can recognize beyond vocals. but "it's too political" is.... very telling. up until now you've only been listening to the music and excluded listening to what it's saying. the only reason you're paying attention now is because it's straightforwardly telling you about world problems and it's not in (vague) rhymes to decipher. and probably because you don't care about certain issues that don't involve you 😭
