[ ❄️ ] now, willow had taken part in roller-blading back in the human realm -- she wasn't proficient in it, not in the slightest, but she still enjoyed it! as a matter of fact, she remembered falling and quite a good number of bruises and cuts. but hey, it was an experience. and what's an experience without a friend, right? clover was seated in a tree above moon beach, watching the two carefully -- hopefully there would be no accidents...
she took hunter by the hand, dragging him carefully out onto the illuminated ice, careful not to topple either of them over. willow hung on to his arms tightly as she wasn't steady in the slightest, laughing as the two of them wobbled.
" this is going to be a disaster, isn't it? "

WHILE PAST EXPERIENCE has taught him this... might not be his thing, hunter tries again anyway. he likes to think he's good at that--- trying again, once perhaps to a fault, but falling over on the ice a few times can't disappoint anyone! well... except, maybe, himself, though he's not sure that will ever change.
gliding out stiffly onto the ice, keeping steady his own balance, he notes how tightly she holds onto him, cradling her arms with his. scraping together some confidence, he summons it to assuage her concerns with a lopsided grin.
" psshh, it'll be fine! " the optimism feels like a weird fit for him, but he attempts it anyway.
" if you fall over, you can take me down with you! then we'll both get bruised knees! solidarity--- or something. " nailed it.
[ ❄️ ] an eyebrow quirks at his comment before she erupts in to laughter, gripping to his arms a bit more as she feels a bit more uneasy. she looks down at her skates before back up at him with furrowed brows.
carefully, willow releases one of hunter's arms-- skating backwards would be an absolute disaster. the remaining arm gradually goes lower and connects with his hand. she turns her attention back to him with a grin.
" alright, let's do this thing. "
at that, she attempts to take a few glides on the ice. wheels on concrete are so much easier then blades on ice. well... kind of.

[ ❄️ ] the witch had found herself curious about the human tradition of decorating a tree. she had read about it in the library back in the human realm but hadn't stayed with camilla long enough to see it in action. when spirale had given her the opportunity to see and even decorate a tree, willow quickly took the opportunity.
she studied the decorated baubles closely before hanging them one by one to match one of the trees that had already been scarcely decorated; she hadn't planted a tree in the spring, so she had to use one that was already partially decorated.
deep in decoration mode, willow didn't notice the small creature that was underfoot. she nearly stepped on the little thing before catching movement out of her peripheral vision.
" oh gosh, i'm so sorry i almost stepped on you! are you alright? "
she kneeled down to get a better look at the little guy. oh titan they were cute...

Perhaps it had been Chiikawa's fault for not watching where they were going as well. They had been distracted by all of the pretty trees, lovely decorations and the cookie that they were eating. They had never seen this kind of festival before either.
The girl had only bumped Chiikawa a little, and while it startled them, they were quick to shake their head and show the girl that they were just fine. "Wai..!" Perhaps lately...they had become more confident?!
Yet, that confidence turned partly to embarrassment when they realized that they probably had crumbs all over their face. Quickly, they wiped their mouth, hoping the girl didn't notice!
"Fuu.."
[ ❄️ ] willow let out a small laugh at the little creature's reaction. she sighed in relief before adjusting herself to get a bit more comfortable at their level -- they were quite small after all.
" do you want to help me decorate this tree? maybe i could use some help... "
she figured it would be tough decorating such big pine trees in such a small form.
[ ❄️ ] all snowman need a carrot nose -- at least, that's what she's seen in books. without a second thought, willow casually casts her open palm towards the snowy ground beside her, willing a carrot to sprout beside her. it takes a moment, but a leafy sprout leaps from the snow, ready for picking. willow kneels down and pulls the vegetable before pulling the stem off and putting it carefully in the snowman's face, giving him a proper nose.
" there, now you look like a real snowman "
at least she thought so.

Chara is bundled in about five different layers, but they’re still cold.
Though. . . it’s nice to get out again. Chara’s been pretty shut in for the last month or so; they’ve finally started going back to their job in the flower shop, though only two days a week for now, and today they felt okay enough to walk out in the snow.
So they pulled on their little yellow rain boots and gathered up all their Determination to walk out the door. That’s when they’re greeted with the girl and the snowman — Chara swallows, tugging at their scarf, before pulling it off.
“— from what I know, snowmen also need one of these,” they say, hesitantly stepping closer as they offer up the fabric, ignoring how the cold bites at their neck.
“I have not built a snowman in a long time, though. I think they also need a hat, and some buttons. . .”
[ ❄️ ] the witch never really noticed the figure wander towards her, causing her to jump when they spoke. she spun around to look at the owner of the voice, eyes cast down to look at them. willow tucked a stray strand of hair behind an ear before curving her lips into a smile.
at their comment, she turned to look back at her creation, furrowing her brows momentarily before crossing her arms.
" you'll be cold if you give him your scarf. here, wait a second. "
willow cast her hand to the ground, willing a thorned vine to erupt from the snow, curling carefully around her wrist. she then wrapped the fauna comfortably around the snowman's neck with a chuckle.
" it's not warm, per say, but it's fashionable, right? for a hat and buttons, i'm not sure what we can use, though. "

[ ❄️ ] a finger thoughtfully tapped the witch's chin as eyes scanned the varying goods on display at the different stands at the market. this was the first winterfes she had the pleasure of experiencing and willow wanted to make sure she took part in as many activities as possible. the winter fair sounded exciting with the different shops and snacks -- especially the idea of a hot drink with it being so cold out!
while studying the different items, a familiar voice caused the girl's long ears to twitch, causing her head to snap in its direction. green eyes widened as she caught the sight of her dear friend. without a second thought, willow dropped everything and ran towards her and enveloped her friend in a massive hug. hopefully she was paying attention. if not... then oopsies.
" luz!! oh luz, thank titan you're here i'm so happy to see you!! "

A SINCERE, YET MEASURED SMILE peers through the anxiety set into his features as a notification lights up his screen. all it takes to balm his nerves is a mere few words, and his uncertainty ebbs away at the push of a button. he's not alone, and it feels like he can breathe again.

"See I told you we'd make it before they started showing them off." Despite her tardiness before at previous shows Mika made especially sure tonight would be far different. A good spot to see the lights alongside Willow without needing to travel too far out across the island. It didn't get much better then this, beyond maybe being in the sky seeing them in person.
"Even if its all customized for people to see down here I never watched a light show like this before. Have you ever been to one of these before Willow? Back home it'd be pretty hard to see one from where our school was. But I think here is the perfect spot for a first time experience..."

[ ❄️ ] the witch laid out a comfortable blanket that she had taken from her housing; hopefully, her roommates wouldn't mind! she would make sure not to dirty it too much. she carefully laid it down in the grass, making sure to straighten out the wrinkles before looking to mika, signaling for her to have a seat.
she sat beside her, leaning back on her elbows to get a good look at the lights above. as mika spoke, willow leaned her head towards her, listening intently before looking up at her.
" i've actually never seen anything like this before! i've read about something like this when i was looking at the human books in their library. but i've never seen it in person before... words don't do it justice. "
" Yes, my home was filled with such lush plant-life that at times I used to find myself lost in the woods or in a jungle just to experience something akin to it once more." oh how she missed themyscira. while man's world had its own beauty, there was nothing quite like the beaches back home, the waterfalls that cut through the white rocks of the cliffs, the trees so lush that the midday sun couldn't hope to penetrate it.

[ 🌱 ] willow listened to the woman before her as she spoke of her home world; it sounded gorgeous in all honesty. a stunning contrast to her own world where everything, including the world itself wanted to kill you.
" our plant-life back home was more... vicious than anything. most people kept their distance, but they're quite sweet when you get on their good side! your home sounds really beautiful, diana."
the witch had requested the amazon's assistance in gathering some supplies for the small garden near her dwelling. since re-entering spirale, she had to start her garden from scratch as she had been assigned a new home. thankfully, with her magic, that wasn't too difficult, but she always appreciated the assistance. it was tough to carry so much soil as just a single person. she herself was carrying two bags of soil -- yes, she was strong, but not as strong as diana.
" i try my best to spread my plant magic around here as much as i can! "
"I don't really know, but my cousin keeps asking her chat if she's cooked, so I figured I should ask mine. Haven't you heard any of your peers asking? You seem like the right age group."
