To Taylor,

Words cannot express how excited I am for 5/19 because I am FINALLY going to see you for the first time! I better get waterproof makeup because I’ve loved you since ‘08 & I’ll probably cry.

It felt like it was just yesterday when I was in 8th grade and I discovered “Teardrops On My Guitar”. I remember listening to it everyday on repeat because it eased the feeling on my heavy heart. That was the moment I knew you were the person I’d look up to.

I am forever grateful for your music. When I just entered 9th grade, you released your “Fearless” album and it helped me get through the first 2 years of high school. Then in my junior year you released “Speak Now” and I couldn’t be more ecstatic. Listening to your music made me feel as if you were with me throughout all the struggles and heartaches during my high school career.

Fast forward to two years later. “Red” had just been released and I had just entered college. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, for uncertainty and expectations comes with all new beginnings.

Midway through my college career and I’ve now been accustomed to a new album ever two years. I can honestly say the anticipation was killing me. I remember I was on my way home from school that day and I heard “Blank Space” for the very first time on the radio. I remember shouting in the car “OMG THIS SOUNDS LIKE TAYLOR SWIFT OMGOMGOMG THIS IS TAYLOR SWIFT! THIS SONG IS SO FREAKING GOOD”. Maybe it’s because I’ve never ever been to a concert before, so I didn’t know the customs; i.e. an artist releases their album, followed by their tour. Sadly by the time I found out, it was already too late. My heart still hurts just thinking about not being able to see you during your 1989 world tour.

As for “Reputation”...eek...I’m so excited my blood pressure is probably sky high.
