Hey gang! Finally made a blog for my otherkin rambles lmao. I usually go by Woof on my other blogs and you can call me that here, though I’d prefer my kintype names; Platypus/Kit/Techno/Starrymind :D
formerly citrus-dragonkin !!!
MY PROFILE IS VERY HEAVY ON HYBRID PRINCE (WINGS OF FIRE) SPOILERS!!! BE WEARY!!!
🌌About me!🦊
- I go by the names listed above, use She/they/it pronouns, and am a minor (adults can interact, just no 18+ only blogs ofc ^^)
- I am dragonkin, more specifically Wings of Fire dragonkin (Platypus, Nightwingkin (not a canon character))! I am also Kaiju Paradise Jammerkin and a Fox Therian!
- I DO NOT support the original transfur elements or inspiration of Kaiju Paradise. I see the game/my source more as like a furry zombie apocalypse type thing, which is what the devs are currently trying to lean towards. I come from a version of the game where there was no gootrax removals, all of them are in the same kind of universe. You could see a Manic and Carneline talking for example. The map I remember is also the original map ^^
‼️Quick little note‼️
I do not have a position on endogenic systems, as I am not a system myself and this is not my place to talk. I’m not pro, anti, or even neutral, I just don’t engage in the discourse at all because, once again, I’m not a system!! I don’t know what that experience is like!! I will interact with both pro and anti endo blogs, u can block me if u want.

Why did you choose dragons? Always loved dragons and thought they were cool, read a book called Dragonsong as a kid and likes taking character perspectives and seeing all sorts of different POVs, showing all the different mindsets and personalities. Loves the theme of empathy and seeing different sides of a story. Loves seeing everyone’s creativity, calls WoF as like a playground for the fans, a welcoming space where everyone can put their own spin on the world or imagine their own stories/characters in the world. Wants everyone to feel like they can save the world no matter who they are, everyone can make their own impact no matter how small.
What dragon do you most enjoy writing? Peril, Kinkajou, says Kinkajou is really fun to write.
Who was the most difficult to write? Turtle, says she wanted to give him a hug. Threw Kinkajou at him to help move the story and his character along. Connects to his love of stories.
Is there elements or characters inspired by current events or own experiences? All writing is like therapy; a way of dealing with problems in the world, book 16 especially was the feeling of “so many bad things happening and what do I do if I’m just one little dragon” especially with the people in charge not being great, working through “what can we do?” Book 16 has a lot of different answers to that question, how different people respond to the situation, how can anybody save the world or make a difference? Characters realize they each have their own skills that when they come together and trust each other, can save the world
Which dragon are you the most like? Sunny, though says a piece of her is in every dragon (Tsunami is the bossy big sister side of her, Starflight with his love of libraries/books, Glory is who she would love to be because she is cool) Peril is least like her, but she loves her a lot as a character because she says what’s on her mind
If you could have any power what would it be? Not want mind-reading, wishes she could sometimes see the future but would go insane, would like leafspeak to grow a garden
What feels inspiring as a creator? Writing relationships between characters, especially in book 16, was inspired by Australia, Mulberry popped into her head as a character and she was so excited to have Umber meet him. She wanted Umber to find someone good and both go well together
So far no relationship focus in book 17 (as of now), but she says there is a funny relationship (vague on romantic or platonic) she doesn’t wanna mention yet that will be in it
What terrifies you as a creator and how do you overcome it? She says she is not an outliner, more or a “let’s write and see what happens” person, describes herself as a “gardener”, she plants the seeds of ideas and sees what happens. Says she likes to bring pieces together but can sometimes forget a small detail and worries if she forgets a small detail. Wrote a whole scene for book 4 of the NightWings escaping the volcano, realizes she forgot about Ochre and panicked about it as she was about to turn in book 4, jokes that he wandered off as she originally didn’t mention him, so she had to go back and mention him/throw him in to show he is okay and not obliterated by lava.
Correction: Christina Perri wasn't actually there, but she did do a recording of like a "hey everyone" sort of video and then the song waa shown via lyric video format.
Belated THP art post where I share my honest opinion on the new book
Spoilers below:
Things I liked:
-First, I love how the WildWings aren't actually a new tribe but hybrids. When I heard there was gonna be a new tribe I was not exactly happy about it, since I feel like 10 are enough and there's enough stuff to work with without adding more. Them being just heavily mixed dragons is a great compromise imo.
-I also liked how the stuff about LeafWings and BeetleWings having to migrate from Pyrrhia ties back nicely to The Legend of The Hives from book 13, now the whole story of Pantala feels a lot more complete.
-This is purely subjective, but my favorite thing about the new characters is that none of them genuinely piss me off. In all the other arcs there was always at least 2 characters who annoyed me to the point tainting the experience (arc 1 it was Glory and Kestrel, arc 2 Winter and Icicle and arc 3 Snowfall and Nettle), this book didn't have a single character who made me think "omggggg shut the fuck upppppp". Not even Platypus, who I know to be pretty disliked. I liked all the new characters and I hope we'll see them again.
-Also I see people say this books is "sanitized" or "scared to show violence" and... No?? The flashbacks of the Murder of the SkyWing queen and Beryl's seize of power are, in fact, pretty brutal. Not to mention Mulberry litteraly self-harming upon witnessing his scene in the "room of visions" (I forgot what it was called) why is NOBODY talking about this? Just because there are no scenes with exploding guts it doesen't mean a book can't be violent.
Things I didn't like:
-Honestly my biggest gripes with the book are the pacing, which is a little too fast, and the handling of Sora's arc.
I was looking forward to see Sora's recovery from her PTSD, but then it only gets addressed a bit at the start, then Sora just gets better off-screen. Yes, Umber is still very worried about her for the whole book but we never really see her go through any particular development on her PTSD. This doesen't ruin the book for me but I feel like it's a bit of a wasted potential. And I'm not really a fan of Sora x Dugong being set up, it's not really a problem but I'm a firm AroAce Sora supporter and I feel like she works better without a love interest.
-Another thing I wasn't fond of is how the Triumvirate has basically no character development, except maybe Monarch. Tuatara and Horizon have nothing, but hopefully they will gain some character development later on. Beryl's motivation for taking over is also not really explained besides "she wants power" and this just makes her another Scarlet who is not as unapologetically evil, in my eyes.
-Also, Mulberry and Umber's romance happens way too fast and it's unbelievable how Umber forgives him so easily for basically leading him and his sister into forever jail. However, I don't really care for romance in WoF in general, so.
Overall, I liked this book and I'm excited to see what happens next, especially with an epilogue like that.
Also! Kinkajou PoV!
(either way, you should remember that Tui is not an indipendent creator and I'm sure scholastic deadlines are to blame for at least some of the pacing issues and underdeveloped stuff)
I would love to have a tail and all the inconveniences that would come with it
I would brush it every day, find ways of sitting that don't squish it, be careful of closing doors behind me, hold it close to me in crowded spaces, etc, I wouldn't care if it was "inconvenient", I would love it
I know I don't usually post about this but man. It sucks seeing how the therian community have turned into the cleangoths of the alterhuman umbrella.
It's not a trend, it's not an aesthetic, it's not identifying *with* animals it's identifying *as* them, you don't *need* shifts or quads or memories or a spiritual connection all you need is to identity as an animal on any level. That is the definition that's existed for decades and I'm RIPPING MY HAIR OUT watching these twelve year olds making up new "rules" and looking down on people that don't follow them
