I interviewed the county coroner once, because it's an elected position, but he ran and likely still runs uncontested because he inherited the family funeral parlor thirty odd years ago from his dad, the late coroner. During his youth he lived above the building where they kept the bodies. He said it only gave him some weird dreams of waking up in the morgue and the like. Kinda similar.
