Some shots of the Motley Band of Merry Makers tonight (minus Sam and Ben ;~;) As you can see, we enjoy being mean to mourners, and trapping strangers in a ring of bodies.
Also, someone was looking for a band to play something on Riddermark. I can’t remember the person’s name (Liberta? Libertina? something like that), but I guess if you’re on Ridder and you have a band and are willing to play a show, drop us a line and if she ever contacts us again, I’ll pass the info on.
Meet Noiread, a sassy and light-hearted champion that enjoys a fine pipeweed, a pleasant swim and a little dirt beneath her fingernails. She tends to wear her heart on her sleeve and her thoughts on her face, and she can be found on the Riddermark server where she'll probably often be in the company of a motley band of merry makers. I'm kind of really looking forward to it. It'll also be the first time that I actually make any progress with the Champion class. I've kind of been neglecting Drixl, my poor little dwarf champ in Imladris, but hopefully having company will keep me motivated. She's currently standing about in Archet. I've completed a couple quick quests available in the beginning- primarily finding Sprigley's items, killing 6 diseased boars, and burying bodies- to get her to level 8, and I visited Combe briefly to pick up quests there, and to take up the Armsman vocation. It'll also be nice to have fellow players in tow when it comes time to tackling all those many spiders, and the marshes. I really hate the marshes. And spiders. It also occurred to me after the fact that I named my girl "No, I read" and it just seems a little funny because I'm currently on a reading binge. It's late. I'm easily amused.

I would like to get together a group of regular players to meet up once a week to play lotro.
We would group up, play for a few hours together, then not touch those characters again (other than crafting/rp I guess?) until we meet again the following week.
I’m open to creating them on any server.

Onwards to Act III
So, I played Dragon Age II for a little bit before scurrying off to run some errands, just progressing Garrett's story finally. (I hopped onto Therese for a bit a couple days ago, managed to clean up the quests before heading off for the Deep Roads with Varric, Bethany and Anders in tow. So, let's see how that goes.) Anyways! I managed to finish out my quests on Act II, though I could never quite find where the harlot's blush was at on the Wounded Coast, so that herbalist will just have to make do without. Oh well. Got betrayed by Isabela, freaked out by that RIDICULOUSLY GINORMOUS QUEEN SPIDER in the Bone Pit, then I went to meet up with Aveline to meet with the Arishok. I'll admit, I'd actually gone through this whole thing before. I went on without realizing that it was the segue between one Act and another, so I was grossly under-leveled and had to start all over, this time to actually do it right and go about on the rest of my quests. Granted, I still couldn't quite beat the Arishok in a duel. Sooo... I had to cheat and just have everyone duke it out, but we're gunna pretend that didn't happen and I was able to do it the honorable way. Shhh. We'll see if I can do any better with a different class. Then I became the Champion of Kirkwall! Darted around Hightown to gather up some quick quests, went to my Estate to read some letters and to get some from Anders before saving and turning off the game. Good times.
The Stone has punished me, dream-friend. I am dying of something worse than death.
Yeah, this entire line of the game was perhaps easily one of the creepiest sections, in my opinion. That poem was chilling. The discovery of Broodmother's and how they're made was gritty and gross and kind of genius in that gritty-gross kind of way. Yet even with the individual insanities particular to Branka and Hespith, one mad with their search for power and the other completely broken by the atrocities they've witnessed, that relationship was disturbingly fascinating. This little glimpse, one in which you don't even actually see the two women together, was still enough to totally spark a curiosity about the details in regards to their history together and their feelings for each other.

I really do like this game, even though it was kind of a pain in the butt today.
I finished the Ascalon Citadel. Those traps were obnoxious. And then I get all the way to the end, Celian gets stuck in this little cage of sorts because I just had to get drawn in by that chest with the damn hunting boots in it, and then I couldn't even break him out because I didn't have enough zeal to break the wall. What kind of shenanigans is that? So Marie had to carry on without him for a time.
And all of that, I didn't even complete the Noble Costume. Gah! Damn the Blue Silk Blouse.
Then I got some documents out of the library from Marie's home, and then challenged the Saracen general to a duel! He got me that first time, but oh boy did I kill him dead on the second round. Yup.
And then that was it. Still kind of irked about not getting that Noble Costume completed, or pretty much any of the Templar Chronicles. I was rusty. So rusty.
So, I've decided that I'm pretty much in love with all things Bioware. I love the Mass Effect series, I love the Dragon Age series.
I'm wanting Jade Empire. And the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games.
And I definitely want to get a subscription to the MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic. It's their first MMO, how could I not? Ahhhh, I'm eager!
I don't know what my LotRO kin will think of this. We've lost quite a few members to this game. Pfft, I can balance the two, surely!

AHHHHHH EXCITED.
Who finally beat the game? ME. TAKE THAT, YOU ARCHDEMON BITCH.
The Final Battle was, easily, one of the more difficult challenges for me in the game. Moreso than the Fade, moreso than the Deep Roads. Largely because it called for strategy and I'm definitely not a strategist. So I ended up dying an incredible amount before even reaching the big boss, and I lost a good portion of my armies as well.
And then when I finally got there? ... yeah, I screwed it up a couple of times. It took me a while to realize there were ballistas that I was supposed to be using. So after a few rounds of simply running up to try to kill the thing the old-fashioned way, getting my entire party killed and all my armies decimated, I figured it out and it got a little easier from there. Not perfect, but easier. The first phase became a cinch. Then the second phase kicked my tail for a while, but I managed to get through that as well. Victory has never tasted sweeter.
Leliana was completely useless. What's this nonsense, playing dead while the rest of your team is dying and then refusing to get up when I need you? Yeah, totally dumped her afterwards. She can go buy shoes in Orlais by herself, I'm going to find that wild witch hottie that has my baby. And bring Zevran along as well, just to have something to do on the way.
It was good, it feels fantastic to get through the game. I've been watching Dragon Age: Redemption, now that I finally understand half the terms and situations--and I can't wait to jump back onto Dragon Age II with all this background information that I'm aware of. Yay! This also might be the first time that I'll dish out the money on a pre-order because I'm dying for Dragon Age III: Inquisition.
Now to figure out which character to go through the game next. A friend voted for my elf mage. My mother voted for my Dalish woman. I'm kind of keen on reuniting my dwarf noblewoman with her lover, Gorrim. Though I also wanna see if I can get my dwarf nobleman to hit on Anora. Take that, backstabber. There's just too much that I wanna see!

It's going to be very difficult not to select this option on every single character of mine.
I don't particularly care for Anora--but this very well might be because she totally stabbed us in the back, sending me and Alistair to Fort Drakon.
Now I'm stuck on what to do. Really don't want Anora on the throne. Really don't want to have to make my buddy marry her after she'd just sent us off to that creepy torture prison (though the view within my cell was nice ;D) and I really don't want to have to marry her.
... actually, I just don't want to upset Morrigan and Leliana, who totally have the hots for me. Zevran, too.
Welp, guess Alistair's just gunna have to suck it up and be king! Even though I did just agree to support Anora at Landsmeet... dammit.
I really need to find a better armour set soon. It makes me sad that the best bit of armour I have in my arsenal is pink. Urdnot Wrex does not belong in pink armour. My heart weeps a little bit every time I pop in and there it is.
However, Tali always looks amazing.
I really hate that Haunted Burrow. It's so obnoxious.
Fortunately, I don't have to deal with it anymore! I've got all the Fall Festival tokens that I need, I've gotten all the cosmetics that I wanted--and now I've just got one more race token to earn in order to get both of those steeds.
... and I'll confess, I've fallen to temptation and I created my pair of storage 'toons.
Jaqwen is stationed in Celondim, where she'll keep all of my crafting ingredients. She's a sweetheart, bubbly and quite optimistic. A social bird. And a tomboy, she likes dirt and bugs and lizards.
Then there's Kalson, who's decided to set himself up in Bree. He's keeping track of all of my cosmetics. The hats and the shoes and the dresses and the tunics. He likes shiny, pretty things. He's a flamboyant little troublemaker. I felt a bit bad, I was rushing through the noob-land and I think someone wanted me to help them out, which I tried to do. I joined their fellowship, I answered their questions, I met them at the Hunting Lodge... but then I think they went AFK for a bit. And it was late, I had work in five hours and I needed to get some sleep, so I finally just had to drop the group and rush on to save Archet. So, if you should happen to be reading this, I'm so sorry!
I didn't get to play for long before I had to head out, but I did manage to play enough to realize that Orzammar is a pain in the ass. And that I'm not really a genius when it comes to politics, but hopefully I have the plan downpat by the time I play on another character. I thought I was going to be all cool, pushing for Harrowmont as king, but making Bhelen think that I'm secretly on his side, yada yada yada--and then I end up planting papers without realizing what said papers are. Hopefully that doesn't come back to nip me in the bud.
The Proving was a pain in the rear though. I manage to get both of Harrowmont's fighters back in the game and then I join as his champion--and a million and one battles later, I die in that last round. And my last save wasn't nearly as close as I would have liked it. So I retrace my steps, saving every third beat, a million and one battles later--well, I'm surprised I won! This guy gets three people on his team... and apparently choosing to have the two dwarves fight alongside me means I only get those two. So it's four against three, joy. And wouldn't you know it, one of my comrades (I want to call him Beizyl, but that might be wrong) glitches... so he's just standing there, not even fighting, so it's really like four against two.
But I stand victorious!
Now I'm heading into the Deep Roads in search of Branka, I've got Oghren in my party and I feel kind of bad for him. I really hate the Deep Roads. I may end up saying this a lot before I'm finally through with this. . . . and I'm going to need to save up for an Xbox 360 hard drive, so I can download my DLC's.
So I pop online, just minding my own business and exploring the Harvest Festival--when I get a tell from one of my favourite kinmates, inviting me along on a raid! Well, absolutely, I'm all for it! :D
It was kind of a sweep. Majority of the group were 75s and it was scaled down to accommodate the babies like me. My burglar is currently 57. But whatever, it was a thrill all the same.
We scurried our way through the three wings of Helegrod, tackling the drakes, the spiders and the giants--before moving onwards to slay Thorog! I was excited. Not being at the level cap keeps me from joining in on a lot of the raids that my kin has regularly scheduled, so it's always a joy when they invite me to tag along, whether I'm a big help or not.
A part of me is kind of worried about when I do reach the level cap and I get to join in and I might actually have some kind of responsibility in the raid that requires me to truly understand what my raid leader is saying. As it is, I'm kind of just running in the same direction that everyone else is running in and killing things that everyone else is targeted on. xD
