I discovered there’s only a finite amount of ways to describe something as hot.
Do you get undressed when filming?
You talk a lot about the gross things you see in your job. What is the hottest thing you've seen working in the porn industry?
Oh boy...! Guess I have a thing for bondage scenes. Anytime we film one I get totally into it, which has actually made the result look better! Ha... I just realised I work better when I’m horny.Apart from that, it would have more to do with the people involved. Some actors just don’t do anything for me, but others...
Worst/best experience in your career?
My worst experience was luckily nothing at the end, and now that I think about it is kinda funny even, but when it happened I almost lost my shit.A couple months ago my bosses and I were talking about locations: we needed to shoot in a different place, and since around those weeks I was alone in the flat I used to live in (my housemates were out) I offered my place. Silly me, the very same day I arranged a meeting with my landlady. “There’ll be enough time to shoot everything before she gets here” I thought... I was SO wrong.Lucky enough, she got home right when we finished so everyone was dressed. I honestly do not know how I kept my cool and acted not surprised to see her (she actually got earlier than expected) and made up a story of how we were shooting a commercial (as far as she knows, I work in web advertising so if anyone sees her be cool alright?). She bought the lie and waited outside in a café while we packed everything up. At that point I was shaking and about to freak out, and it took me until the next day to calm down. It’s still a mistery to me how she didn’t think there wasn’t anything fishy about the whole situation (the actors looked A LOT like the typical porn actor), but well... It would be hilarious though if somebody saw that scene somewhere, recognized the living room and sent it to her.And my best experience... it may sound tacky, but the very best thing of my work is the people I work with. My bosses appreciate my work and tell me so pretty much everyday. I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve never been in a place where your boss thanks you for the job you’ve done that day before you leave, every day. And I think that’s pretty cool :)Also I get to see hot naked guys on a daily basis!
Ask me anything!
So it’s already midnight here, I’m fuelled by weed and redbull and bored on my computer. Does anyone have a question about anything? I’ll try to answer as best as I can, or even draw something if your question inspires me!
December 1st
So I’m going to get (a little bit) serious now. Today, as we all know, is December 1st, World AIDS Day. Today we’ll see the statistics of the epidemic, reminding us that over 34 million people currently have HIV, and about the same amount of deaths since the first cases. We’ll be told that there’s a significant increase of new detected cases amongst the young. Yet, as sad as it seems, we won’t see anything on TV about prevention, awareness and, above all, visibility of those people who live with the virus. I’m not going to pretend I’m any sort of expert on the subject. I just want to give you a piece of my mind as a person who deals with sex on a daily basis. It is important to me to remind you that porn is film. It’s fiction. Why do I say that? There’s been an astounding change of mentality in porn in these last couple of years towards bareback sex. Years ago, if you were a model and made a BB scene it would be so hard to find jobs in other companies. Now, not that many companies have a strict NO-BAREBACK rule: either they do both (as we currently do in our videos, always being the actors the ones who decide if they use a condom or not) or just BB. And I get it, bareback porn looks WAY hotter. Bareback sex feels awesome after all. But as I said earlier: porn (amateur doesn’t always count of course) is fiction. It’s an industry, and like in every industry, there are health and safety measures. There’s no real risk (or, well, shouldn’t be... not going to say I’ve seen health and safety all around me) of an infection. The real problem? People outside the business normally don’t get that. And the industry doesn’t seem to get this problem, or simply chooses to ignore it. Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of porn as a learning tool for some young people as part of their sexual awakening since, well, the very start of porn as an industry. Sex being a taboo or just something too awkward to ask your parents, and since Sex Health classes suck in many places, porn looks like the best, most straight forward way to learn about sex. But just as we know movies aren’t real we must be aware that porn isn’t real either. That’s not real sex, it’s staged. We can learn from it, but only if we always have that in mind. Also, porn companies and models must accept their influence regarding the way we see sex and use it to raise awareness. Please, use protection, get tested at least once a year (there’s no shame in being responsible), and specially fear the virus, but not the people who have it. (TL;DR - Wear a goddamn condom!)
Some actors take it too far
I've heard a lot that porn doesn't pay that much. Like between 500-1000$ per scene on average. And that most guys do it to advertise themselves as escorts. Why do men become gay porn actors/models?
500 bucks might not seem too much, but you gotta see it in perspective. These guys could make up to 30 scenes a month, so at the end of the day they have a really nice paycheck (and from what I’ve seen, actors don’t live a humble lifestyle believe me). Many of them also work as escorts that’s true. Some of them start as escorts and then become actors to, as you said, advertise themselves and sometimes it’s the other way around. As for why they become models... Most of them try it (for a big variety of reasons) and decide they like it and, since it pays well, or at least well enough, they stick around and make a career out of it.
Hi! I really appreciate you showing the more humorous side of the porn industry. I work at a needle exchange on weekends. People ask me if that's "grim," and yes the way America treats drug users is pretty fucking grim. But there are still funny/odd moments.
Thanks for your message! :D I’m doing all this because ever since I started working in the industry it’s become clear to me that people think of porn (the industry, actors...) in a very biased way. Not their fault of course, most of the documentaries and tv reports on the subject tend to be very sensationalist and the truth is, people here is just as everyone else and it’s a job like any other. So with this blog I’m trying to show the more human side of it. I really appreciate you guys are also interested in it! :DAnd about your weekend job, it’s a really good base to work with, if you’re also interested in making some sort of creative job (this blog, for me, is basically writing practice tbh). Seems like, with a correct and respectful approach, you could make something funny AND also bring that reality closer to people.
We get it (hehehe…) You’re not into that (hehehe…)
Prolapses gross me out a lot.
Got the perfect idea for the new header. How does it look?Â
