time to finally introduce my crappy Eridian oc!!! ( they’re not crappy, precious child actually)

So I was trying to find a rock that is soft/fuzzy and came across Mesolite! Which is actually really really really delicate and even touching it can cause it to break 😬

Dandelion isn’t as delicate as that but still pretty close. So she has boots and soft bands around their joints to keep from cracking. But accidents still happen cause dandelion is only a pebble with ADHD ( or eridian version of it). And even without that they would probably still crack quite a bit.

Grace makes Dandelion her green bands and boots cause eridian fabric can still be too hash for them no matter how soft it’s supposed to be. Luckily Grace has some softer stuff left over from the Hail Mary and Eridian scientists have been working on softer material for him cause he also probably doesn’t like most Eridian fabrics.

And here’s a little doodle with @sharkfiinn’s oc prism cause part of the inspiration was I wanted to give prism an Eridian friend that could give them a big tight hug without hurting Prism. (Even if it turns out to hurt her instead.)

The “nobody” scene in the odyssey is absolutely not just a clever pun—it’s a character defining moment for Odysseus because he refuses to be nobody. He devised an incredible plan that worked and he could have saved his men and returned home much sooner but he just had to yell to the cyclops that he isn’t nobody—he’s Odysseus, king of Ithaca so now Poseidon knows who to curse which severely fucks up the rest of the journey.

The “nobody” scene highlights both Odysseus’s cleverness but also his arrogance and those two traits define Odysseus throughout the entire story. It’s a foundational aspect of Odysseus’s character and cutting the scene displays a shocking level of ignorance and disregard for the themes in the source material.
