🌿 Sims 3 Maxis-Match Gameplay Hair Capsule — Complete

I finally finished building a gameplay-friendly TS3 hair capsule!

Instead of downloading hundreds of hairs, I carefully picked styles to cover every silhouette category (adults, teens, and kids) while keeping the folder lightweight and consistent.

Result: • 33 hairs total • ~363 MB for the full curated CAS setup • Full variety coverage • No duplicates filling the same visual role

The goal wasn’t “as much CC as possible” — it was never needing another hair while playing.

Every hair was chosen to: – be wearable for everyday Sims – avoid overly stylized meshes – keep performance smooth – still feel pretty and varied

All individual downloads are posted on my blog so you can pick and choose — or follow the whole capsule if you want a vanilla+ experience 🌱

i get asked sometimes how my sims 3 runs so smoothly, so i wrote down the settings and little habits i personally use. it’s nothing extreme — just gentle adjustments that let the game breathe instead of struggle.

Gameplay-Friendly Hair Reference ♡

I’ve been building my hair folder using this curated spreadsheet by Plumblobs — it focuses on well-optimized hairs that won’t overwhelm the game. Instead of posting dozens of individual hairs, I recommend browsing it and picking a limited amount that fits your setup.

My personal suggestion:

Light — ~20–30 hairs Balanced — ~40–60 hairs Heavy — ~70–90 hairs
