What is this “war between lesbians and bi women” I keep hearing about? Because a war would be two sides fighting equally, but that has never been my experience.

I’ve never seen bisexual women telling lesbians they weren’t allowed to use certain words or labels for themselves, but I did get plenty of hate when I dared, as a bisexual, to call myself Suffering Sappho.

I’ve never seen bisexual women actively excluding lesbians from their social circles or refusing to date them based on their (often assumed) relationship history.

I’ve never seen bisexual women accuse lesbians of being deceitful or untrustworthy, like the woman who told me all bi girls really just want to trick lesbians into having threesomes with their boyfriends.

The “worst” thing you can honestly say bi women are responsible for is “grouping lesbians with straight people and gay men” and I will stand by that all day, cause when it comes to treating us like shit, you all have that in common. I’m not gonna sit and rank people from “most to least biphobic” because that’s not how it works.

But if calling y'all out on how terribly you treat us is “war” then fuck it. I guess we at war then.

things ocd isnt: fixing a table mat, making your Instagram feed nice

things psychosis is: paranoia, magical thinking, inability to differentiate between dream and reality, hallucinations (aud&vis), sometimes dangerous delusions, being a victim of shameless ablesm constantly

things psychosis isn't: psychopathy, being assertive, being aggressive towards someone, making an assumption, edgy, aesthetic, trippy

people who are allowed to internalize and speak on mental illness, use ablest slurs and feel however they want about mental illness: people who are mentally ill

people who are not: neurotypicals

I always see people talking about how eating too little or forgetting to eat is a symptom of mental illness and therefore shouldn’t be judged, but I never see anyone say anything about how mental illnesses can drive people to overeat.

People with binge eating disorder exist.

People with ADHD who eat when they’re bored, and need something to do exist.

People with depression who comfort eat exist.

People with PTSD who overeat as a way to make themselves look unappealing, or as a way of comfort exist

People who overeat as a form of self harm exist.

We exist.

Because overeating and being fat is so harshly hated upon, no one wants to believe that fat people are struggling with mental illness; they just want to believe that fat people are lazy and refuse to change because they don’t want to.

We don’t owe you anything.

Once I said something to the effect of “he’s more impressed with himself when he calls you beautiful than he is with you” as some sort of statement towards the self-serving nature of compliments from men. This is especially true when you are not conventionally beautiful, in whatever way that means to you. The exchange then becomes “I can see beauty in you” carrying the implication that other men cannot, and you are supposed to thank him for completing such a strenuous task.
