Since 2024 is right in front of us and 2023 was a REALLY hard year, let’s all say something positive that happened. Maybe it’s a game you played. A song you liked. Something you accomplished. Whatever it is, mine is that I will be on the other side of struggling this year and it’s gonna be hard at first but I will be able to be a more present mother and all around a better person. What’s yours?
ok, i’m gonna say this here cuz i’ve had it happen multiple times and i’m fed up
if someone blocks you, DO NOT contact them from a second account. DO NOT make another social media account to message them (twitter clearly states when your account was made smh). DO NOT try to guilt trip them into interacting with you or harass them in other online spaces. they’ve set a boundary and you are fucking violating it. they’re not gonna change their mind. their opinion of you is now lower than when you got blocked in the first place
one thing about "character x didn't face Consequences for their Vile Actions" discourse is that for almost every example I've ever seen, the character in question did face consequences, they felt really bad and damaged their interpersonal relationships. often these characters also explicitly have to take on the burden of confronting their actions and trying to work to become better people. because very often that is how life works, someone does something awful but the police don't come in and send them to superhell, everyone just stops hanging out with them and they have to live with the guilt. those sound like pretty reasonable consequences to me.

Maybe love is like rain. Sometimes gentle, sometimes torrential, flooding, eroding, joyful, steady, filling the earth, collecting in underground springs. When it rains, when we love, life grows.

i hate when ppl act like the only reason to not like a "sad" ending is because you can't take it or whatever. personally as a tragedy enjoyer, i hate a poorly written ending. i hate an ending that is just kind of a bummer. i hate an ending that feels mean-spirited to the audience. i hate an ending that's redundant. i love a sad ending that is thematically consistent, poignant, and bespoke to the rest of its narrative.
"He could still hear it.
No matter how hard he tried, the music was still there.
Still playing.
Even over his shrill cries."
(I was re-reading @cestbunni 's fanfic and I got inspired to make something based on it! ^_^)
