Almost a year ago, I created a reinterpretation of the cover of The Black Parade, a very special album for me and one of my favorites. I never imagined that shortly after, I would have the chance to hear it live for the first time in my life.
Soooooooooo, I´ve been meaning to post this little atempts to make a homestuck sprite of joy but i got shy and wanted to make it digital first (the originals drawings were made months ago and on paper lol), but after talking to @loopscereal (thank you btw<3) about how joy would be a jade blood i just had the perfect excuse to finally do it :3
I made 2 versions of human joy because one is based on how in the comic the human kids would often just have an accent color and everithing else was black and white and the other has like the colors of the actual series; and also the length of her hair is diferent in the troll version because i wanted to make her a little diferent from the human one :3

ooooooh and almost forgot to add, I named her troll version Joiley Lirios cuz of that tendency of the trolls having 6 letter names and last names, but i don't remember why excpet that her name still could be shortend as joy xd
My I humbly request a "by the scruff" design with ediwin/charles as well? If you have extra free time. Or any of the other adorable characters you draw? I think the idea is so cute but I unfortunately have never seen sonic

I decided to be a little ambitious and step out of my comfort zone. It’s the first time I’ve tried to tell a deeper story through my drawings, and I did it with the soft, emotional storytelling of @bitterdesert 💖 who let me witness a creative process completely different from the one I live in my own skin. It’s been such a beautiful experience!

Summary:
Even after years of dating, Edwin was quite aware that his partner thought he was hilarious. Charles was able to find something to smile or laugh about, even in the toughest of situations.
