for most of the time i first lived in pdx, i would leave work and walk from downtown and walk most of the waterfront, before crossing the bridge and taking a train at rose quarter. the waterfront is a special place for me. it's wild to me now that i got to walk that thing every day after work. what a wonderful time that was.

This is the picture of Protostar and L1527 by James Webb space telescope. This hour glass shaped structure is only 10000 years old. These blazing clouds in the Taurus star-forming region can only be seen in infrared light, making them an excellent target for Webb's Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam). The protostar is concealed within the "neck" of this hourglass shape. A dark line across the middle of the neck indicates an edge-on protoplanetary disc. The protostar's light leaks above and below the disk, illuminating cavities in the surrounding gas and dust.
