🚙SECRET SPOT NEAR MUMBAI🚙 . 📍Shirgaon Khadaan (Near Dahisar) . 🚘 ≈60 km from Mumbai . 🏞️ It's an isolated location in a village, created by Asphalt crushers. There are about 3-4 spots created next to each other amongst which this one had enough water for us to swim. . ⚠️Swim at your own risk. . It may not be visible in the video, but the water is usually bluish in colour (appears bit greenish during monsoons) and to a degree transparent too. . Since it's an isolated place, we had the whole place to ourselves. We tried to visit Vandri lake and Shirgaon lake but due to covid lockdown, we weren't allowed anywhere near it and that is when we found this place. . It is suggested to visit this place in small group as you can see some localities chilling nearby and trucks transporting stones passing by. . ⚠️This place can not be found on Google Maps. 🧳SPENDING A DAY IN MUNNAR, KERALA🧳 Since at the time of our visit, all our pre-decided locations were closed due to various reasons, which led us to spontaneous plans for the day. .. 📍Wonder Valley We spotted this adventure park on our way out from our stay. Since we had nowhere to go as decided, we chose to spend our first half here. 💸₹1000/- pp 🧗Arcade, Bull ride, Archery, Vortex, Zipline, Rock climb, Net climb, Zorbing, 4D theatre and few more activities whose names we don't know😅 We had a really good time here and was worth every penny! There's a 4x4 vehicle transfer free of cost to get you back to the entry point. Also, there's a small restaurant inside the park. .. 📍Periyar Spice Garden 💸 ₹100/- entry fee but we got free tickets from the taxi service that we had booked for our entire Kerala trip. 📸 Tour guides inside the garden escort us through, giving information about the spices and ayurvedic plants planted inside. You learn a bit more about local vegetation including coffee, cardamom and chocolate. We love to learn about the place where we travel to so this was a lovely experience. .. 📍Nursery (it was a random spot we stopped by while we were driving past it) 💸₹50/- pp entry fee 📸Tons and tons of beautiful flowers and plants were on display. It was a treat for our eyes. Foot-long roses and sunflowers spread across a vast area were our favourites. It was worth the visit. .. 📍Random tea estates 💸Free 📸We drove for miles surrounded by beautiful greenery and stopped at random tea estates to climb above and click photos. The views were absolutely breathtaking. 🧳STAY RECOMMENDATION IN VARKALA, KERALA🧳 📍INDA HOTEL A beautiful Boho Chic hotel near Varkala Beach is the place to go when you are visiting Varkala. It gives you a Hippie vibe as soon as you enter the campus and it will for sure mesmerize you❤️ These Eco cottages were built with natural and local material, and every cottage has an unique decor and setup which we loved the most❤️ 💸 Rooms start at as low as ₹900/- pp. We booked 2 AC cottages with breakfast for around ₹1500/- pp. 🍝Exotic as well as Indian food is available at their two cafes (one is in the hotel campus and another one is on the outside road). Food was heavenly; even the welcome drinks were delicious. Prices were reasonable (we stayed for 2 nights and had most of our meals in Inda cafe). 🚴You can rent bicycle here to roam around Varkala cliff and beach which is just 5 min away. Overall, it's a pretty chill place and we were too excited for this stay in particular and weren't disappointed at all. In the tranquil backwaters of Paruvar in Kollam, we were ferocious with our kayak. Though it was our first time kayaking, we were doing 360s, drift-kinda-situation, rowing in patterns; you know we were having every damn bit of fun!! It was quite a show for our spectators 🌚 (Luckily we didn't flip the kayak coz we were pro you know 😉) . 📍@syzygyecosports in Kollam 💸 ₹250-1000/- per person for an hour depending on the kayak/canoe option that you choose. There is a heli pad over the cliff around hotels, restaurants and market. 🚴You can rent a bicycle here (we didn't so we can't tell you the cost of it. Oopsies!) 💸There is a tourist market along with a bunch of restaurants serving you delicious food with that magnificent view. 🏄‍♀️ We saw few surfing schools near the beach (which we didn't try coz of time restraint but will be back to try it! #Bucketlist ) . 📍Inda Hotel (Stay) 🛌Boho chic hotel, near the Varkala Beach was our favourite stay in our entire trip. 💸₹1500 pp with unlimited yum exotic as well as Indian breakfast (& we went nuts for it!) . 📍STAY RECOMMENDATION IN KERALA - ALLEPPEY 📍 📍Private Houseboat Amongst the options of hiring a Shikara boat for 3 hours and stay at a hotel in Alleppey or book a houseboat for the ride as well as for stay, you know which one would be the obvious! 💸We booked this double storey AC 2-bedroom, 2-bath houseboat for 6 people costing us ₹2000/- pp (including lunch, dinner and breakfast with onboard cook) ⏰The houseboat ride starts at around 12-1 pm from Alleppey and continues in the backwater lake. After a short break for lunch onboard, ride continues till 5.30 pm (as post-5.30 pm cruising isn't allowed in Alleppey) and is anchored at a place where you can hop out to explore the place (only till the sunset). You can ask for Todi, a local drink, which we got for around ₹60/- for a litre. 📺Onboard entertainment included few local movie CDs and music system on the lower deck which had no AC but we ended up watching Netflix on the upper AC deck in the evening. 🥗With a view like that and the authentic local food served, you bet we were having the best time in Kerala!!
