I use Vallejo paints for my minis. For the skin specifically, I started with a solid base coating of the body (excluding the flails) using the main pink (Salmon Rose), and then filled the creases of the flesh with the darker pink (Old Rose). I also used the darker pink in some additional spots like the folds between the flails, the tummy, and the base of the mouth parts. Any places where I put too much of the darker pink, I went back over with the base pink. When I was happy with the balance between the two, I painted a trim around the body in a white-peach sort of colour (Light Flesh). I also gently added some of that white colouration to the snail's bumps and the rounded tips of its mouth bits. As for the part of the flesh that transitions into the flail, I blended the base pink colour with a yellow (Ice Yellow) that was then blended into an orange (Sunny Skin Tone), and did a wash in a brighter orange (Light Orange) on the flails themselves. The flail spikes are painted solid in the bright orange. Hope that explanation makes sense!
