Way back in 2022, I painted this Cosmo Serpent and it only very recently hit our D&D table!!
I painted her for a oneshot that didn't come to pass, but she came out too well not to share! Her name is Hyra, and she would have been a College of Spirits bard traveling as the entourage of a noble Minotaur
Model is Vykana, Hideous Laughter by LootStudios
In my house (not at R'lyeh), I've waited dreaming of the day I'd finally be able to talk about this! Cthulhu has quietly lurked in the shadows of the miniature shelves in the background of the Dungeon Masters set, but on last night's show, it made its first major appearance!
I was incredibly thrilled for the opportunity to print and paint 3D-printed prototypes of the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons Ravenloft miniatures for Wizards of the Coast's Dungeon Masters show.
This eldritch horror took a nearly maddening 24 hours of print time for its four pieces (and one minor failure on the wings that required fixing), and countless additional hours for cleaning, assembly, and painting.
Being involved in even a small piece of D&D history is an honor, and I hope the enormously talented cast and crew enjoyed having this cosmic horror on set.
This wasn't the only eldritch enemy from Innsmouth printed and painted; there are a few others that may show up, but if not, I'll be sure to post them here upon the show's conclusion!
This is a printed and painted prototype, but you can check out the actual production model at the WizKids booth at Origins Game Fair this week!
I guess I actually have to paint miniatures if I want to get better at painting them.

Took a couple weeks off of art to just paint minis, including this Tarrasque by Archon! (My hot take- this guy looks WAY better than the Wizkids one.)
Anyway, I love him. But he's hard to photograph.
All of my free Dimension 20 fan sculpts are painted!!!! doing a hairy baby dance about it
id: a video showing three painted, 3d printed sculptures of Dimension 20 characters: mary ann skuttle and baby/wretchrot from Fantasy High, and skip riding handy annie from A Starstruck Odyssey.
This lovable pink guy from Epic Encounters took a full month (damn the scale highlights...), but he was definitely worth it! The Kimera magenta paint is so extremely vibrant and amazing! Wish I'd try it sooner.
