“I’m too rough,” Magnus forces out, lifting his head to meet Taako’s eyes. “I grew up with a bunch of boy cousins, you know? We punched each other to show affection. I just never learned to, like.”
He shrugs and tries for a smile.

This is an AU where the twins don’t cook but instead gained a love of stories and old movies from their aunt, Kravitz is landed gentry, and Barry’s … still a nerd, but a music and computer nerd.

There’s a little half-elf kid on the train, in a fancy suit with a fancy hat and a fancy voice. Taako doesn’t pay him much mind at first, he’s not one for kids after all.
Fuck though, if something about him doesn’t pull at heartstrings that Taako hadn’t even realize were still there.
