Our fanart event for this year is a little different! 

We’re doing a ‘The Road So Far’ style video recap of the first two seasons, and we’d like to feature some of the amazing fan artists in this fandom while we’re at it. 

Until the end of the month, draw or repost your favorite scenes from the first two seasons, and tag them with #hfthrecap. If they end up in the video, you’ll see a tag for your artist profile on-screen, and a link in the description where viewers can find your art.

Don’t be afraid to think outside the box! There are lots of moments in this show that aren’t the highlight reel (Lake Dance) but still are important (Blizzard Showdown) and we’ll touch on as much as we can in the recap!

For the AMA! What brought you to voice acting (amongst all your other talents), and what was the first character you played?

The original drive to get into voice acting came from my love of cartoons and anime as a kid, most specifically Scooby Doo and Pokémon.

I would record episodes on VHS, then (with a cheap microphone and boom box I got at Radio Shack) would record myself dubbing the lines onto a cassette... then I’d play it back together so the shows would have my voice!

But my biggest push, I was 14 at the time, came after years of normal acting classes and plays when there was a voice acting weekend workshop that opened up near me, two big name VAs came and did classes, and their encouragement gave me the drive to actively pursue it.

11 years later I got my first industry roles back to back, but I had been doing small indie stuff before then.

The first industry character I played was a generic “mob boss second in command” type character!
