Oh God I'm in pain

shouldn't have eaten that

only have myself to blame

Sneezing when I eat chocolate

already knew that

But now I'm in extreme pain

That runs down my back

It was silent

As the night

No one is awake

My headphones might be broken—why? No matter how I turn or try, A sound remains, so sharp, confined, A ringing not of any kind.

It hums, it screams, both long and loud, On my left, it wraps like shroud. I search in vain, no source I find, These buds have tricked my weary mind.

Stupid buds, they’re past their prime, I’ll keep them on, just buy some time. I’ll use them still until the end, Though silence now I can’t defend.

A ring—I’ll push it far away. A ring—it claws, it wants to stay. Too loud to fight, I shift my choice, I’ll drown it out with music’s voice.

I take them off, toss them aside, “Stupid headphones,” I deride. But silence doesn’t cross my door... The ringing lingers—evermore.

Neck breeze poem

I'm ready for bed

Soft clothes you wear

Nap cap on my head

And I'm washed with care

But as I huddle

With a large pillow btwn my knees

It hits me in my neck

A gentle but cold ass breeze

So I tug my blanket

Over my hair

I try to stop

This dreadful air

But my feet are now cold

The freeze is mighty bold

A problem so old

My sheets are on the wrong fold

Time to fight

I turn my sheet

4 at night

I wont be beat

I finally stand

And aline the covers

But I realize

My sleep has left forever
