I fucked around with SO many background ideas - wanted to make a comic-book looking whatever the fuck I was actually going for - and i still don’t love this so there’s a transparent one below I almost just posted instead. whenever/if-ever I make a bk I actually like, I’ll update. I also have a whole fuckin canvas of just sketchy hand poses now cuz as someone who usually likes to draw more cartoon type stuff I never focus much on them, then hate whenever I try to do nicer art and struggle. Flambae dies, taking the bullet for Robert. It's OK, he gets better. Turns out he is an actual phoenix and comes back to life in a burst of flames. No one was aware this was a thing, including Flambae.

He dies a couple of times after that, not on purpose. Not really. Dying hurts like a fucking bitch, which he would prefer not feeling. It's just, if someone on the team is going to take a deadly blow, might as well be him.

The team doesn't like it when he does it and it's not like he can hide it when he dies. Each time he dies, he gets more bird features. Mostly feathers.

His peacocking makes more sense when he gets tail feathers

enemies to lovers but its not "who did this to you?" but its "I did this to you" bc damn in the moment it felt necessary but the cuts weren't supposed to be that deep. the lashes should have faded by now, right? why are they still limping? make your characters self reflect. burden them with guilt and regret :) imagine laying in bed with the person you grew to love, only for them to roll over in their sleep and for you to see the nettled scars you inflicted on them

As someone with chronic pain, I think part of why Robert might not like to cook is because my god does cooking suck if you have chronic pain. If I were Robert and some hot person insisted on cooking for me like Flambae does in all these fanfics, my new religion would be Flambaeism

Of course, Robert would never admit this to Flambae and try to insist on cooking because he's hyper-independent and bottles up his feelings like crazy
