Delta One service (JFK to SFO, Complimentary Upgrade)
Complimentary upgrade to Delta One, previously called BusinessElite, from JFK to SFO Boeing 757-200 (75S)
Complimentary upgrades on transcontinental routes from JFK to SFO or LAX are only available to Diamond flyers starting 6 hours before departure. Flights from JFK to SEA can still receive complimentary upgrades through the traditional upgrade process. This has been an ever evolving process since Delta initially took away complimentary upgrades on all transcontinental routes over a year ago. From what I hear there were constant complaints from elite travelers and Delta has slowly backed off their original policy. We'll see how long the latest policy holds for transcontinental upgrades.
180-degree flat-bed seats Westin Heavenly® In-Flight Bedding (comforter and pillow) Tumi amenity kit
I personally didn't like the new 2x2 seat configuration with lie-flat seats as it made getting up from the window seat during flight very obtrusive if the aisle seat was in a flat position. Also, because the seats are angled toward the windows, leg space for the window seat was narrower than the aisle seat.
