Oh boy. Here we go. For the record, Iām an avid Gamzee RPer. I enjoy his character for what he is. That being said, this is fucking ANNOYING. Lemme debunk a few lil things for you!
1. Gamzee was a fucking prick who wanted to LITERALLY PAINT THE WALLS IN THE BLOOD OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS. Of COURSE heād be seen with the blood of characters he didnāt kill/talk to.
2. Well, he was? I mean, they shouldnāt tag it in the Gamzee tag. Because thatās rude, but if you say he wasnāt youāre no better than theĀ āugu lil precious babu did nothing wrongā crowd.
3. I doubt a lot of people do this. People who do are pricks, but who the FUCK would see Gamzee as cute? Even sopor Gamzee was kinda weird imho. Him crying a little doesnāt make himĀ ācuteā either. You donāt see people calling other humans cute when they cry because they were being beaten up inside of a fucking fridge. Or after the person they were abusing decided to take action on him the only way she knew how.
4. Game Over was a thing that happened. In the comic. It mightāve been retconned but it STILL HAPPENED. That being said. it is shit for them to do that, and Iām pretty sure the people who do this are just pricks or think that just because someone does somethingĀ āinnocentā with Gamzeeās character, it means that said person is glorifying him or disregarding what he HAS DONE.
5. What? This happens? I mean Iāve never read Jekyll and Hyde so I donāt fucking know how those two correlate.
6. Those people are just gross. Keep in mind they werenāt even kismesis by the point Terezi went after him initially. She just wanted him dead.
7. ??? What? I can understand how that wouldnāt be comforting but what???
8. The people who say Gamzee was stuck in the fridge and deserved it are probably Gamzee haters. Yes, those exist! Stop saying they donāt and that everyone should love this abusive asswipe! ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PERSON YOU TELL THIS TO MIGHT BE AN ABUSE VICTIM!!!
9. Those people are just gross tbh. Or 12. Or both. Theyāre probably in the same vein as people who think Jeff the Killer or [insert other fictional serial killer] isnāt all bad.
10. Why? Why should sober Gamzee be stopped? Why should we outright ignore the thing that Gamzee was FOR OVER HALF OF HIS SCREEN TIME? When he went back to his old quirk, he didnāt magically become unsober. He was still sober and still did weird shit. Like, you know, take bodies and creep the fuck out of Karkat.
Tell me why sober Gamzee should stop? Why he should just stop existing? Because boy, youāre gonna be wiping a HUGE part of canon away. And if you meant something like the fanon version of sober Gamzee, you shoulda put that there. Because people are blunt as fuck. :)
Oh, and hereās a few questions for you. Where are the complaints about people glorifying his murderous tendencies or call them ācuteā anyways? Where are those people who put that sociopathic murderclown on a pedestal despite him being less than perfect? Where are the people who go out of their way to justify his every action and be likeĀ āoh, he just had a bad childhood!ā??
