Summery: Marko takes you on a date to the cave to meet his pigeon friends.
A/n: I tried my best to describe the cave, but we all know what it looks like, so whatever. This might be slightly OOC, and there is really bad writing, so I'm sorry if it's just bad.
---------------------------
Wheels skid to a stop close to the steep drop-off of the cliff. A couple of rocks fall down into the abyss, crashing into the ocean waves below.
"Holy shit, you drive like a bat out of hell" you say into Marko's shoulder as you tighten your grip around him and hide your face in his shoulder.
"Come on, you had fun." He laughs at your reaction.
"I genuinely thought I was going to die" He rolled a bit away from the edge so you could safely get off.
"That's how you know you're having fun" He kicked the stand for the bike so you can both get off. You were sure you were smiling like an idiot due to still being high on the adrenaline. He leads you to a side of the cliff that has worn down stairs.
You start to make your way down the stairs, hearing creaking as you walk. "How many times are you going to try and kill me in one night"
"It's held strong for years, you'll be fine"He jumps a couple of times, making the building shake.
"Marko!" You grip onto the railing since your life did kind of depend on it. He tries to hold his laugh in before he snorts and bursts into laughter.
"It's not funny. Keep moving." You swat at him with your hand to make him keep walking.
The stairs ended at a rocky beach. at the entrance of a cave. Scraps and trash were washed up in the rocks. A torn up wire fence stood in front of the entrance of the cave. Marko walks ahead of you, telling you to watch your step. Some blood residue was left on the rocks, which is to be expected.
You made your way through the entrance, walking to the already lit space inside. Marko jumped down, skipping the rocky steps entirely. While holding onto some vines, you carefully make your way down.
The cave was amazing, like their very own wonderland. Old decor hung from debris and rock. A broken chandelier lay in the center of an old fountain. You walked around looking at the cluttered decor.
"How did you guys get all this?" You turn back, finding him walking around the broken chandelier.
"Back in '03 a big earthquake hit this hotel. The ground opened up, sending it right down into our hands" He hops down from the spot, landing in front of you. He raps his arms around your waist, and your arms move to his neck. You pull him close to make contact with his lips.
"Isn't everybody else coming here?" You try to reason in between kisses. Marko had a habit of taking things far too quickly, which you didn't mind often.
"They're out feeding. It will be a while till they're back." You break away from him at his statement.
"Don't you also need to feed?"
"I can control myself"
He states before he starts to kiss up your neck. You lean your head to the side, allowing him easier access. You were so wrapped up in the moment to fully register the wing flapping sound coming from a little deeper in the cave. But Marko had heard it.
He pulls away quickly without much warning. Walking deeper into the dark cave toward the noise. It hurt a little that he was so quick to abandon the moment. He came back with a paper bag, and he handed it to you. Before you could ask for an explanation, 4 pigeons flew up. Landing on his arms, which he stretched out to the side for them to land. They all land in a row.
"This is Daniel, Dawn, Paula, and Margo." He points to each one down the line. They pay little attention to you besides a couple of coos in your direction.
"Are they all girls?"
"What can I say? Babes love me"The one on his sholder coos and snuggles into his chin.
There was something so endearing about seeing Marko care for these pigeons, but not just care, but befriend them. Marko was a vampire; he was meant to be a perfect predator, but yet he seemed to care so deeply. Even if he didn't show remorse while feeding, he kept showing you how he was still human in some ways.
You look in the bag to find birdseed and a few pieces of bread. Grabbing some of the seeds, you place the bag down. A pigeon, seeing the food in your hand, abandons Marko for you.
"That's Margo." Margo stood on your wrist and ate the seeds from your palm.
"Hi, Margo." You reach out with your other hand to scratch under her chin. Happy coos come from her catching the attention of the other tree, who also abandons Marko for attention and food.
All four were a handful, all wanted attention and food. You've never met birds as clingy as they were, although it was cute. You assumed Marko made them like that by spoiling them rotten.
One of them lost interest in fighting for attention. So she moved from your arm to Marko's, snuggling in between his neck and the collar of his jacket. You assumed it was comfortable for them due to how insulating it was.
"Marko, why pigeons?"
"They're one of the few animals that don't lose their shit at the scent of vampires" You hum in response.
"And they're very friendly and very adorable. That's how I knew they'd like you."
"What?"
They're adorable, and they like adorable things. And you fit the bill" Margo, who took a liking to you more than the rest, cooed in argument.

ᯓ your boyfriend has just broken up with you, and you're wallowing. luckily, you have someone there to reassure you. wc: 2k
── THE WAVES LAPPED LAZILY AGAINST THE SAND, the soft sound of water sloshing the only thing you could hear. way in the distance, you could see a few bonfires raging, see a few people partying and dancing drunkenly, but you were too far to hear anything.
it didn't matter if you could hear them or not anyways, because you were so far into your own thoughts that you wouldn't have acknowledged it anyways.
you sat with your knees to your chest, elbows resting on your legs as you stared out at the black ocean. the moon cast a dim glow across the water, making it look like it was glittering in the night.
only a few hours ago, your mind had been racing with a whirlwind of thoughts. not good enough, not pretty enough, too much, too little. it was a very "it's not you, it's me," situation, with him saying he'd simply lost feelings, but you couldn't help but wonder if you had done anything to cause that.
eventually, those racing thoughts had quieted, leaving you with a heavy feeling of an almost numb sadness. you felt it in your heart, in your head, even in your stomach. it was weighing you down, making you feel like the only thing you could be was sad. that was the best word for it. just sad.
the soft sound of the sea and the distant squawk of seagulls swallowed up the quiet footsteps padding in the sand.
"is this spot taken?"
you jolt at the sound of the voice, whipping around to face the speaker. your eyes traveled up over black boots, white pants, a mesh shirt, until finally your gaze locked onto a pair of blinking blue eyes.
"shit, paul, you scared me," you huffed, turning back to face the water. those were the first words you'd spoken in hours, your voice hoarse from sobbing.
he toed the damp sand with his shoe. "you didn't answer my question."
"sure, yeah. sit."
he plopped down immediately, stretching his legs out in front of him and tossing his black blazer behind him as he leaned back on his hands.
you'd known the boys for a while at that point. you'd moved to santa carla alone, met them on the boardwalk a week in, and the rest had been history. they'd taken you under their wings (no pun intended) and you'd been hanging around them ever since.
out of all the boys, paul had the least tact. he was usually buzzing with energy, bouncing around the boardwalk and blurting out the first thought that came to his head. he was always high, either metaphorically on life or literally on weed. but he seemed strangely sober tonight, sitting quietly and staring out at the water.
"whats up?" he asked finally, breaking the silence.
you pulled your knees closer to your chest. "nothing," you mumbled. you felt like there was a chain around your emotions, refusing to let up and let you express them.
"bullshit," he scoffed. "you're moping."
"am not," you muttered.
he turned his head to glance at you, a skeptical expression on his pretty face. "are too. you're like, all wallow-y and shit." he nudged you with his elbow.
you frowned and turned your head slightly in the other direction. he sighed and nudged you again. "you're sad," he said plainly.
you just nodded. there wasn't really any other way to describe it. that dense ball of feeling in your chest, wrapped around your heart and making it hurt, it was just sad.
now it was his turn to frown. "why are you sad? what happened?" he asked, turning to face you.
you bit your lip. if you talked about it, you would cry. you could already feel everything welling back up; the feelings of inadequacy, the anxiousness, the helplessness when he had said "i don't think we should date anymore."
but paul was your best friend. he had been since you met. and he was clearly worried about you.
you sighed. your next words were quiet, almost inaudible, even with his superhuman hearing. he leaned closer.
"huh? babe, you gotta speak up."
your lips barely moved, your voice hardly above a whisper, but this time he heard it.
"he broke up with me."
his face fell. despite never really seeing your boyfriend, because of external circumstances (and not because he was jealous, as the boys liked to say), he knew how much that guy had meant to you.
"he's done," he said immediately. "he's a goner, babe, i promise. i'm gonna get the boys and we're gonna rip him limb from li-"
"paulie," you said. your voice was so dejected and flat that he stopped his rant in his tracks, staring at you.
"i just-" your voice broke, and you tore your eyes away from the ocean, looking up at the night sky. you hated that you were making him worry, but you hated the thought of crying in front of him even more. you shook your head.
"what did he say?" he asked quietly.
you swallowed the thick lump in your throat. "he just- he said he lost feelings, essentially," you managed. you blinked rapidly, trying to force the tears back.
he clenched his jaw. "that's fucking ridiculous," he said. "thats so fucking ridiculous."
you sniffled, and he immediately scooted closer, wrapping an arm around you as the tears finally broke through. he sat with you as you sobbed, rubbing your shoulder and letting you lean on him. paul was not good with feelings or anything of the sort. he was the hype man of the gang, always down to start some shit or another. but for you, he'd do anything, even try and handle emotions.
"i just- i feel so stupid," you cried, wiping harshly at your eyes. "i just wanted someone to actually love me, you know? and it seemed like he didn't even care!"
he looked out at the ocean awkwardly. "yeah, i.. i know, babe," he said. "i know."
you knew he was only trying to make you feel better, but his words only served the opposite purpose. "how would you know?" you snapped bitterly.
he turned to face you, blinking in surprise. "what?"
"you have dwayne and marko and david! you have the guys and you even had star and laddie and michael for a bit! how would you know what it felt like to be alone?" you wrenched away from him.
his brows furrowed, his shoulders deflating. he knew you were just upset, upset at the world and at your ex and you were just taking it out on the closest thing you had at the moment.
after a moment, letting you breathe, he tentatively reached out, grabbing your elbow and pulling you closer. you sniffled, wiping your eyes again, the sudden rush of anger dissipating into the sea breeze.
"i just want- i don't know, i just want to belong somewhere. to someone. i wish i had, like, a home, you know? somewhere i don't always feel alone," you mumbled, the familiar feeling of shame creeping back up on you.
you had always been on the outskirts of everything; never anyones first choice, never the favorite. you were so sick of feeling like you didn't belong anywhere. growing up, your friends had always had better friends. even with the guys, there was a clear bond between the four of them, making you feel disconnected even from your best friends.
after a long while, he spoke. "i was on my own for a while," he admitted softly.
you glanced at him. "what?"
he nodded. "parents kicked me out when i was fifteen. thought i was too old to be mooching off of them or some dumb shit. i was a street fighter when i met the boys. before..." he waved vaguely in the air and referring to his vampirism. turning to face him, you saw an open, honest expression on his face. he was always so upbeat and good-natured that to see him serious for once was strange. "and even then, it took a while for me to open up to them. took like, two years to open up."
you frowned, and he squeezed your shoulder. "im saying, i know how it feels, babe. but you got us." he shook you gently, a hint of his typically playful nature coming out. "always will."
"you guys are vampires," you said quietly. "you'll get bored of me someday and leave, just like everyone else."
he shook his head vehemently. "we wouldn't. we love you too much."
you didn't respond. the idea of someone, multiple someones, staying for more than a while, was incomprehensible.
suddenly, he jolted. he near slapped your shoulder as he patted you excitedly, his face lighting up.
"you could join us!" he said, as if it was the best idea he'd ever had.
you turned to him, baffled. "what?"
"become a vamp! then we could be together forever!" he got up, not waiting before he all but yanked you up with him. he wrapped his arms around your waist.
you admit, you have thought about it before. you didn't have much to lose; practically no friends outside of the boys, no family, shitty job. it wasn't entirely out of the blue. but still...
"paul, i- i can't just give up my life-"
he cut you off. "babe. you'd get to sleep all day, party all night, and hang out with us. you're already basically one of us, minus the fun part. c'mon, what do you have to lose?"
you made a face, considering it. "but what if-"
"i promise," he said. he moved his hands from your waist to your hands, holding them in his. "i promise you, babe, i'm not leaving. neither are the boys. we may be like, killers, but we're not that bad," he joked. then, his face settled into a more serious expression. "but im serious. we're not like those other assholes. we'd never fuckin' ditch you because we got bored," he scoffed. "you're one of us, babe. you just need to take the last step."
you were floored. you'd never had anyone be so genuine with you, so insistent about staying and not leaving.
at your expression, his own softened. "i promise, babe. scout's honor or whatever."
you laughed softly, and his lips pulled into a small smile. "there she is," he murmured. he squeezed your hand. "what do you say, then?"
you glanced out at the ocean. could you do it? could you handle never seeing the sun, never being out during the day? could you handle truly becoming one of them, becoming a killer just to survive? could you handle having forever with not just one, but four people who promised to never leave?
you looked back at paul. his blue eyes glimmered with excitement, with hope.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ a small draft whistled through the cave. the bottle clinked against the cup as marko pulled it away from the now-full glass.
dwayne lifted it from the table and handed it over to you. paul squeezed your shoulder both in comfort and excitement as you took it from the brunette.
david watched coolly from a chair, his piercing gaze tracking your movements as you lifted the glass to your lips.
just as you were about to take a sip, you lowered it slightly.
you looked at paul. "you promise?"
the blonde nodded, nothing but genuine sincerity in his expression. "i promise."
you looked around at each of the boys. david, with his unreadable expression. marko, watching with bright eyes. dwayne, leaning against the wall with an unreadable face. and paul, with his giddy excitement.
you'd known these boys for long enough to realize just how intense this was. if you drank from that cup, you'd be one of them. you'd be a part of something, something real. you would have people who would kill for you, ride for you, do anything to keep you safe and happy. you would have people who truly loved you. you would finally belong to something, to someone.
A/N: I haven't seen a lot of single pairs for lost boys x reader. Don't get me wrong I LOVE poly lost boys and I might write some later, but I still think we need a bit more single pairs.
Summery: You have worked at a craft store for a while. Tonight was not your first night shift, but it was your first for meeting Marko.
Somehow I got roped into the night shift. Strange, since the owner usually worked the night shift, but tonight he had a meeting with the owner of the VHS store. Mark or Mac, something like that. Who has a meeting at 9 o'clock at night is a whole other question. I don't really care money is money, and with summer coming up, I need a bit of extra cash.
It wasn't too bad, most of the time it was empty with only a few regulars stopping by. Sundown was when things sped up with parents or kids scrambling for last-minute projects. After that rush, it slowed significantly.
"Here you go, Mrs. Johnson." I pass the bag over the counter with the receipt.
"Thank you, sweetheart."
She grabs her bags, giving me a smile. She was one of the regulars that come by usually after sundown, so I only see her as I'm leaving for the day or shopping late myself.
"Remember to tell me how the quilt turns out next time you're here."
"I sure will have a nice night." She makes her way to the exit. I turn back to the register, fixing up the counter since I realized it got a bit messy. I overheard her thanking somebody for holding the door open as she left. Knowing the person came in, I say, "Welcome," without glancing up.
He replied with a "Thanks,"carrying it out with a flirtatious tone. I look up to see who exactly walked in. He's had an eye-catching style. His jacket was a mess of patchwork that somehow worked. His tight curly blonde hair in a mullet fashion.
He wandered around, stopping here and there. I caught him glancing at me a few times, and I'll admit I did the same. How could I not? Every part of him was eye-catching. His unique style and angelic features made it hard not to stare a bit.
Continuing out with my tasks around the shop, making my way to restock some of the shelves and fixing up some messes left behind. I intentionally stayed out of the aisle he was in to avoid an unwanted interaction.
He turned into the same aisles I was restocking. He leaned back on one of the shelves as he watched me. This was getting a bit creepy.
"Can I help you?" I sounded a lot more confused than I was hoping to.
"Are you new?" deflecting the question with a question.
"No, I usually work afternoons or mornings, so I'm just new to you."
He moves from one side of the aisle to the other, ending up right next to me. "Well then, not new girl, I'm Marko." He had a certain look about him, soft features that contrasted his rough-patched aesthetic.
"I know, I mean, I don't know you, but I've just seen you and your friends around." Making my way back to the front counter, hoping it was the end of this weird interaction.
"So I'm just that memorable, huh?" He starts trailing behind me.
"It's hard to forget your friend constantly catcalling women."
"Oh, come on, he doesn't mean anything by it. Paul is just an attention hog."
"Right because that makes it better." Replying as I walk behind the counter.
He follows not too far behind, leaning over the desk with a smirk across his face.
"Maybe I can take you out on a ride, to ya know, smooth things over."
I would be lying if I said it wasn't tempting. With his big puppydog eyes and childish smirk on his face. Every part of him felt inviting.
"And ride where exactly?"
"Ride on the beach and maybe take you up to Hudson's Bluff."
"You mean where a bunch of people have gone missing?" No way, you're crazy man." Turning away from him, walk to the other side of the counter area.
"Ok, ok, so just the beach." He quickly follows my direction on the outside.
"I might be free around 2 tomorrow."
"2? No, if I'm taking you for a ride, it's going to be at night." There was a bit of defensiveness in his tone, like he was covering for something else.
"Night riding?"
"You'll never truly live until you have." Passion showed in his eyes, clearly having pride in the hobby. He showed so much emotion with his eyes alone.
Engines then roared outside, catching both of our attention. Outside, Marko's friends were on their bikes. I assumed that was the time to go signal. Marko turned back to me before starting to back up to the door.
"I'll meet you here tomorrow at 9pm." He was out the door before I could respond.
I think everybody can agree that Marko has greek statue features
Notes: Accidentally posted this, quickly took a screenshot of the ask, and then deleted the post. I feel so dumb😓. Why can't you put a post back in your drafts? Decided to do headcanons for this. Can be interpreted as poly or not.
Warnings: fluff, some toxic behavior cus they're vampires, loosely edited so probably spelling mistakes
The boys aren't incredibly trusting people. Whether or not you're dating one of them, a pair of them, or all of them. It takes a while to earn that trust.
I think David would be the person pulling you in the most, but he would also be the least trusting.
He's mostly worried about how you'll react to being a vampire. David is the kind of person who seeks control to combat his feelings. He would pull you as close as possible. Let you form bonds with the boys. Sink those emotional hooks in you as deep as he can get them, and then reveal the vampire bit.
He wants to make it harder for you to abandon them. A rejection from you would genuinely hurt him (not that he would ever admit that).
In order for David to truly let his guard down around you, you would need to accept being a full vampire.
Before that, he would always stay in the background. Watching from afar, assessing you. The occasional hand on your back or smooth words in your ear. But always keeping his distance.
The first time you hunt would also be the first time you see a genuine soft smile on his face. He would congratulate you afterward. Cupping your jaw to teasingly wipe at the mess of blood on your face.
He would slowly turn soft after that. Engaging in group activities. Holding your hand in public. Encouraging you to sit in his lap.
After David, it would be Marko and Paul in a tie for least trusting. Marko is a little more wary of you, but they both have the same approach. Which is fucking with you.
They would both tease you and challenge you constantly. They want you to impress them, to surprise them.
If you manage to do that, Paul would fall instantaneously. He was already touchy beforehand, but now it's ten times worse.
He always wants to be touching you. Holding your hand, dragging you around the boardwalk. Wrapping himself around you from behind while you wait in line. His arms around your stomach, slipping his hands under your shirt to feel your skin. Lighly tickling you just to hear you giggle. He would bury his face in your neck, soaking up your scent like a blood hound. Totally not an excuse to leave some very noticeable hickeys.
If you ever want to personal space, he would be very sad but would try his best to respect your wish. He would be a distance away from you, staring at you with those big sad eyes, like a dog begging for food.
Marko would let 80% of his guard down if you managed to impress them. The rest would be let down after you become a full vampire.
Before, he would always tease you in a hazing way. It's a kind of mean way to challenge you. But after you've earned his trust, his teasing would turn playful and loving. Of course, he would apologize if his earlier pranks went too far. He'd try his best to explain that he never wanted to actually hurt you. He needed to make sure you weren't going to hurt him or the other boys.
He would still love messing with you. Jumping out from behind you to scare you. Hiding your stuff and then demanding a prize when he "magically" finds it. Pretending to bite you just to freak you out. And some roughhousing if you're down for that.
But in private, he would love sleeping in with you. Squeezing you close to him. Playfully nipping at your shoulder when you try to get up. Leaving kisses over your skin and small hickeys to claim you.
He also cooks for you. Sharing his family recipes, giving you that offended Italian look when you mess it up. This is very special for him. He has a lot of bad memories when it comes to his human family. He doesn't like thinking about it. But it feels good to share these certain memories with you.
Dwayne is the most trusting when it comes to you specifically. Dwayne knows that you're his/the boys mate. So that means you have to be a perfect fit.
In his mind, you're already his. He's a patient man. He'll happly wait for you to figure that out, too. "They're my boyfriend/girlfriend they just don't know it yet" mentality.
If it is poly, he will be a little bit on guard when it comes to you. He's very protective over his mates and will not let you hurt any of the boys. If you did end up hurting one of the boys, he would be very disappointed in you but willing to give you another chance. He wants all his mates to get along at the end of the day.
There really isn't a hurdle of earning Dwaynes trust. At the beginning of your relationship, he'll hold back some his affections to allow you some breathing room as you slowly integrate into the group. But after you have accepted your place amongst the group, he allows himself to love you fully.
He would open up about his interests. Sharing his books with you. Him monologing about his favorite books is probably the longest you've ever heard him talk.
Teaching you how to skateboard. Him gripping your hips so you don't fall off. A giant smile on his face full of pride when you can finally do it on your own.
He's always happy to wrap you in his arms. Cuddling up in his nest while he reads to you. Snuggling up to him on the boardwalk to keep warm. It makes him feel all mushy inside.
𝖘𝖚𝖒𝖒𝖆𝖗𝖞: The boys insist you stay the night in their cave after you almost get jumped near the boardwalk. You fall asleep tangled between four vampires, each one pretending they aren’t savoring the sound of your heartbeat.
The boardwalk lights flickered like dying stars as you hurried away from the crowd, your heart still pounding from the close call. You’d been cutting through a dimly lit alley near the carousel, which was stupid, in hindsight, when those three surf Nazis cornered you.
Their leers and crude comments had turned threatening fast, hands grabbing at your jacket, until a low growl cut through the night.
Then the boys showed up.
David had appeared first, silent and predatory, his platinum hair catching the neon glow. The others flanked him like shadows come to life: Paul with his wild mane and wicked grin, Marko bouncing on his heels like he was itching for a fight, and Dwayne, tall and brooding, cracking his knuckles without a word.
It was over in seconds. A blur of leather, the boys glared just enough to terrify, and the punks scattered like roaches. You hadn’t even had time to scream.
Now, as they escorted you toward the cliffs, the adrenaline crash left you shaky. The ocean roared below, matching the chaos in your chest.
“You sure you’re okay, babe?” Paul asked, slinging an arm around your shoulders. His touch was casual, but his eyes scanned the darkness behind you.
“Yeah,” you muttered, though your voice wavered. “Just... thanks. Again.”
Marko smirked, walking backward to face you. “Told you the boardwalk gets rough after midnight. Should’ve stuck with us.”
Dwayne rode silently on his bike beside the group, but his dark eyes flicked to you often, protective.
David led the way, his coat billowing like wings. He hadn’t said much during the rescue, just a cold “Back off” that sent chills down your spine, but now he glanced over his shoulder. “You’re not going home alone tonight.”
It wasn’t a question.
You protested weakly. Your apartment was across town, and it was late, but the idea of walking alone now made your skin crawl. Still, crashing with four vampire bikers you’d only been hanging out with for a couple of weeks? The ones who’d been flirting shamelessly, teasing you about joining their ‘pack’?
“Come on,” Paul coaxed, nudging you with his hip. “Our place is closer. Safer.”
“Just one night,” Dwayne added quietly, his deep voice rumbling like distant thunder.
“Or twelve,” Paul grinned.
“Or forever,” Marko chimed in with a wink.
David said nothing. He just stopped at the cave entrance hidden in the cliffs, turned, and draped his long leather coat over your shoulders. It swallowed you whole, heavy with the scent of smoke, ocean salt, and something darkly metallic. It felt like a claim, possessive and warm despite the chill of his skin.
You shivered, pulling it tighter. “Fine. One night.”
The cave was just as you remembered from that first daring visit, lit by flickering torches and stolen candles, cluttered with stolen treasures, old bottles, and a massive fountain in the center that trickled like a mocking hotel lobby. But tonight, it felt different. Safer. Like a den.
The boys kicked off their boots, shedding jackets and gloves. Paul cranked up a battered radio, some old rock station crackling to life. Marko raided a cooler for... well, you didn’t ask what was in those bottles. Dwayne disappeared into a side chamber and returned with a pile of mismatched blankets.
You hovered awkwardly near the entrance, unsure. “I can just crash on the couch or—”
David’s low chuckle cut you off. “You don’t want the couch, sweetheart.”
He nodded toward the main chamber, where a massive, sunken mattress dominated the space—piled high with pillows, blankets, and god knows what else. It looked like a nest, chaotic and inviting.
Paul flopped onto it dramatically, face-first, groaning like he’d been waiting for this all night. “Come on, join the pile!”
You hesitated, but Marko was already tugging your hand, his curls bouncing. “It’s comfier than it looks. Promise.”
Dwayne settled near the edge, leaning against the headboard or what passed for one, which in reality was a carved rock wall, watching with that quiet fondness he reserved for his brothers... and now, apparently, you.
David waited, arms crossed, until you finally toed off your shoes and climbed onto the mattress. It was huge—big enough for all five of you without touching, but that clearly wasn’t the plan.
Paul rolled over, patting the spot next to him. You lie down stiffly in the center, staring at the cave ceiling draped with old tapestries.
Then they followed.
Paul flopped face-first beside you with a contented sigh, his blond hair tickling your arm. Marko curled against your back like a mischievous cat, one arm draping over your waist, his breath cool on your neck. Dwayne stretched out near your feet, one large hand resting lightly on your ankle, as if anchoring you. And David... David claimed the spot behind Marko, but his presence loomed—until he shifted, his cool hand settling possessively at your waist as he half lay over Marko.
The mattress dipped under their weight, enveloping you in a tangle of limbs and leather-scented warmth. They were cold at first, like marble statues come to life, but your body heat seeped into them, and soon it was a cocoon of soft chaos.
“You’re safe,” David murmured against your ear, his voice a low vibration that sent shivers down your spine.
“From what?” you whispered, half-teasing, half-genuine. Your heart hammered—part fear, part something else entirely.
“Everything,” he answered simply. His thumb traced lazy circles on your hip through your shirt. “Including us. Unless you ask otherwise.”
Paul lifted his head, grinning lazily. “We don’t bite… unless you want us to.”
Marko snickered into your shoulder, nipping playfully at the fabric of David’s coat still draped over you. “Speak for yourself, dude.”
Dwayne’s hand squeezed your ankle gently, a silent reassurance.
You laughed nervously, the sound echoing softly in the cave. But as the minutes ticked by, the tension melted. Paul’s fingers idly played with a strand of your hair. Marko hummed an off-key tune, his body relaxing fully against yours. Dwayne’s quiet breathing (unnecessary, but habitual) steadied you. And David’s hand never moved from your waist, a steady claim.
Surrounded by four vampires who could tear the world apart but chose instead to guard your sleep, you felt... cherished. Wanted.
Your eyelids grew heavy, the sound of waves crashing outside lulling you. Each one of them pretended not to listen to the rapid thrum of your heartbeat, savoring it like a secret symphony.
As sleep claimed you, tangled in their nest, you couldn’t help but wonder if “one night” would ever be enough.
[Just something I did for fun. Finally able to get myself to sit down and write something again. As usual, there might be some typos here and there. The reader is written gender neutral. There are a few pet names in this, but I feel like they would use them no matter who they were talking to.]
[Warnings- Boys being possessive, reader isn’t totally against it, just flustered.]
There was finally a break in everything. And, when you said everything, you meant it. Life hadn’t been bad lately; there had been plenty of good things, in fact. What life had been was busy. You felt like you had been going on circles for almost a month now. But, finally, finally, you were able to stop, breathe, and take time for yourself.
You decided to spend your first day off in forever down at the boardwalk. It was nice to look at the ocean while the sun was setting, but that was also your clue that you had been there for a decent chunk of the day, and should start heading back home. You were comfortable enough in Santa Carla that you didn’t worry about living there, but it was typically better to not walk alone at night no matter where you were.
The darker the sky got on your way back across the beach, the more the filament lights of the boardwalk started to replace the leaving sun. While you were still trying to be sure that you weren’t walking while it was too dark out, you also decided that it wouldn’t hurt to take a detour through the midway. While there were always people around, the walk ways were certainly starting to fill in now. You were going against the main flow of things, which lead to you weaving your way in and out of the crowd. Right as you were about to reach the exit, you bumped into someone.
You were about to apologize, but before you could, you heard a laugh.
“Heading the wrong way, sweetheart,” someone teased.
Looking up from your feet after getting your balance, you saw Paul. To be honest, this was the only place that you ever saw him, or the other guys in his group; because of that you weren’t quite sure if you would call them actual friends, or simply people that you were friendly with. Either way, you knew him well enough to know that he probably saw you and bumped into you on purpose.
“Hey! It’s been awhile.” You greeted.
“You’re damn right it’s been,” Paul put on a very theatrical pout that wasn’t all fake.
Shaking your head like an exhausted parent, you huff, “Sorry, life just ran away on me.”
There was suddenly an arm wrapped around your shoulders, fingerless gloves giving free reign to lightly scratch fingernails across your arm when it was given a squeeze.
“Maybe you should let us run away with you instead,” the curls that caught the corner of your vision let you know the person getting up close and personal with you was Marko. “Where have you been? We haven’t seen you in forever!”
“I told you: I’ve been busy,” you reminded, “What are you guys doing here, anyway? Weren’t you kicked out?”
Both of them got a laugh out of the question. It seemed to genuinely make them smile, but there was something almost unsettling about the tone of it. “Oh, more times than we can count,” Paul snorted.
“For one reason or another it just doesn’t stick,” Marko added impishly. Just as he was finishing the thought something caught his attention. “Hey, Paully,” he hummed with the same tone that kids use when they’re about to get someone in trouble, “Look-y what found!” Marco’s hand moved up to pinch your cheek playfully.
“Lookin’ a little rosy, there. Did you really miss us that much, or do you always blush this easy?” Paul teased and leaned in closer.
While you would never admit it, between being so close to both of them and getting teased, you were starting to blush. But, you knew that they would feed off of that for the rest of your life, so you played it off like it didn’t matter. Untangling yourself from Marko’s hold and putting some space between the two of them and yourself, you dismissed their claim with, “I’ve been out for a while. That’s probably just sunburn.”
Both of them tutted at your response. “Gotta be careful with stuff like that,” Marko replied in a way that let you know he absolutely didn’t buy it.
“Don’t we know it,” Paul chimed in. “You wouldn’t believe how fast we burn in-“
“Paul.”
David’s voice didn’t need to be raised for it to catch all of your attention. He had a way of setting a more intense tone by being firm and frigid, literally freezing people in place. There was a sharp nod of his toward a less populated area nearby; Paul followed quickly despite there being some sort of hesitation on his eyes.
A hand was placed on your shoulder, this time gently leading you in the opposite direction of the two that just walked away, “Don’t worry about it,” Dwayne said when he saw you looking after Paul, “He’ll get an earful for showing off- maybe a slap on the wrist- that’s all.”
“Really? For showing off? Isn’t that, like, what you four are known for,” you laughed nervously, still not too sure if Paul would get off that easy, or what he was getting chewed out for in the first place.
“We do other stuff,” He chuckled, “There’s a time a place for things, too.” Once the two of you were well away from the main path, something changed in his eyes. It was an odd mixture of soft, yet laser focused in some way. “Can’t blame them, though. It has been awhile.”
You were really starting to rethink how you and the boys knew each other. You thought they just liked to hang out with you if you ran into each other, but seeing how clingy three out of the four of them had been this evening, you were wondering if they wanted, or already thought that you were part of the gang. The idea didn’t sound all bad; that was something that concerned you. While they had never done anything more than tease you, you also weren’t ignorant to how most other people knew them. You weren’t exaggerating when you thought of them as a gang.
As things were, you didn’t know how to process any of this. So, you tried to excuse yourself. “We’ll have to catch up sometime. You guys actually caught me on my way out. I’ve been here awhile, so I might-“
“Go? Without saying, ‘Hi,’? Who taught you manners?”
You weren’t sure when David got here. It was a wonder that he was able to move that silently in boots. The thing that really got you was the fact that he looked down right cheery. How he was able to go from dark and brooding to having a playful smile and devious glint in his eye at the drop of a pin made your head spin. He knew that he had this effect on people, and took full advantage of it.
You went to say something, but he cut you off, “You had the others worried. Thought you had forgot about us.” There were two unsaid things in this statement, “I missed you too,” and, “This better not happen again.”
With a huff, you went to turn and walk away, only to see Dwayne was still behind you. Looking from side to side, you noticed that Marko and Paul had stood at each direction. The four of them weren’t crowding you enough that you felt boxed in, but they were certainly close enough to feel like the five of you were the only people at the boardwalk.
“Look,” you cleared your throat nervously, “I’m sorry if I upset you guys. I didn’t know you were looking for me, or something, but-“
“An apology? Isn’t that sweet,” Paul teased.
“Is it just me, or is that sunburn getting worse? Looks like it’s all the way up to your ears now,” Marko laughed.
“Easy, you two,” Dwayne chuckled, “don’t scare them away again.”
David looked both amused and exhausted by his cohorts. “I think what the boys are trying to say is that we all want to have you around more.” He gently lifted your chin to be sure you were focused on him. “What do you think?”
There were many started then quickly stopped words from you. Finally, you settled on, “I don’t know what to think!”
“Well, neither does Paul most of the time, but we still keep him around,” there was a laugh from Marko and Dwayne.
“Hey, up your’s, man!” Paul snapped at Marko.
David pulled the conversation back to where it was. “No pressure,” he said calmly; it was the same type of, “no pressure,” that you used to get on timed exams in school back in the day.
“Aw, look,” Dwayne said as he pulled you closer to him, but also walked back so you felt like you were getting air again, “We spooked the poor thing.”
“Not twistin’ your arm or anything,” Marko chimed in, “we just missed you.”
While he didn’t say anything, Dwayne hummed in agreement as he pulled you closer.
“Hey, not fair,” Paul fussed at the scene, “When’s it gonna be my turn?”
“Paul,” David warned again, but lighter this time. He looked back to you and gave his well-known, crooked grin, “I’m sure even after being out the whole day, they can stay out a bit longer.” His gaze turned undeniably possessive ask he asked in an overly saccharin tone, “You can do that for us, can’t you?”
𝖘𝖚𝖒𝖒𝖆𝖗𝖞: You’re just trying to buy a cute pendant from a flirty boardwalk vendor when the boys decide no one gets to look at you like that. They circle you like a living wall of leather and bad decisions—because you’re theirs, and they love you loudly. Jealousy looks stupidly hot on all four of them… and honestly? You’re not even mad about it.

The warm summer night in Santa Carla wrapped around you like a familiar embrace, the air thick with the scent of saltwater, fried dough, and distant bonfires. Neon lights flickered overhead, casting a kaleidoscope of colors on the crowds milling about—tourists laughing, kids chasing each other with cotton candy in hand, and the occasional shadowy figure lurking in the alleys.
You loved this place; it was chaotic, alive, and utterly yours. Or rather, it was theirs—the Lost Boys'. And by extension, yours too.
You'd been with them for months now, ever since that fateful night when David had first locked eyes with you under the Ferris wheel, his smirk promising danger and delight in equal measure. It hadn't taken long for the others to follow suit: Paul's wild energy pulling you into endless nights of laughter, Marko's playful teasing making you feel seen, Dwayne's quiet strength grounding you when the world spun too fast.
They were a package deal, these four vampires, and you'd fallen hard into their web. Possessive? Absolutely. But it was a possession born of fierce love, not control. They let you roam free, knowing you'd always come back to them. Still, jealousy simmered just beneath the surface, especially when outsiders got too close.
Tonight, you were wandering a bit ahead of the pack, drawn to a colorful stall selling handmade jewelry—silver chains glinting under string lights, beaded bracelets in every hue. The vendor was a young guy, maybe in his early twenties, with sun-bleached hair and an easygoing smile that screamed "surfer dude." He caught your eye as you picked up a delicate necklace with a moon-shaped pendant.
"That's one of my favorites," he said, leaning over the counter with a grin. "Hand-carved from abalone shell. Suits someone with your vibe—mysterious, you know?"
You chuckled, holding it up to the light. "Mysterious? That's a new one. Usually, people just call me 'that girl with the scary guys.' How much?"
He waved a hand dismissively. "For you? Fifteen bucks. But tell me, what's a girl like you doing out here alone? Boardwalk can get rough after dark."
"Oh, I'm not alone," you replied lightly, fishing for cash in your pocket. It was innocent enough, small talk to pass the time while you browsed. But as you glanced up, you felt it: that prickling awareness on the back of your neck. They were watching.
The boys had been lingering nearby, sprawled out on a bench like kings surveying their kingdom. Paul was mid-joke, probably something crude about the latest horror flick playing at the drive-in, when his laughter cut off abruptly. His blue eyes narrowed, zeroing in on you and the vendor. Marko, ever the firecracker, straightened up, his wild curls seeming to bristle like a cat's fur. Dwayne's broad shoulders tensed, his dark gaze turning stormy as he crossed his arms over his chest. And David—oh, David. His usual cool demeanor cracked just a fraction, that platinum hair catching the light as his smile sharpened into something predatory, like a blade unsheathed.
They didn't rush over. No, that wasn't their style. Not yet. Instead, they began to drift, casual as shadows lengthening at dusk. Paul sauntered first, hands in his pockets, but his usual grin was gone, replaced by a pout that bordered on sulky. Marko followed, tossing his hair back with exaggerated nonchalance, though you could see the way his fingers twitched, itching for action. Dwayne moved like a panther, silent and deliberate, his presence alone enough to make the air feel heavier. David brought up the rear, gloves creaking softly as he flexed his hands.
You were still chatting with the vendor, now about the best spots for night surfing, of all things, when you sensed them closing in. The stall suddenly felt smaller, the space around you shrinking as the four of them formed a loose circle, their bodies a living barrier between you and the rest of the world.
The vendor's words trailed off mid-sentence. His easy smile faltered as he looked up, realizing he was now surrounded by four very intense men. They weren't glaring outright—nothing so obvious—but the energy they radiated was unmistakable. Possessive. Territorial. Like wolves staking claim on their territory.
David stepped in closest, his hand sliding onto your hip with casual possession, fingers curling just enough to pull you a fraction toward him. The touch was light, but it sent a shiver through you, a reminder of the nights you'd spent tangled in their arms, their fangs grazing your skin in ways that blurred pain and pleasure.
"She's busy," David said simply, his voice smooth as silk but edged with steel. His eyes never left the vendor's, that sharp smile widening just enough to show a hint of fang—subtle, but there if you knew where to look.
The poor guy stammered, his face paling under the neon glow. "Uh, yeah, sure, man. No problem. Enjoy the necklace." He backed away hastily, nearly knocking over a display of earrings in his rush to busy himself with another customer who didn't exist.
You turned to face the four of them, arms crossed over your chest, trying to suppress a smile. "Really? He was just being nice."
Paul threw his hands up dramatically, his pout deepening into something almost comical. "Nice? Babe, he was totally flirting! Did you see the way he leaned in? 'Mysterious vibe', please. That's code for 'I wanna get in your pants.'"
Marko snorted, leaning against the stall's edge with a grin that didn't quite reach his eyes. "You're too cute for your own good, you know that? Not our fault, we have to chase off the strays. What if he tried something?"
Dwayne didn't say much; he rarely did in these moments, but he stepped closer, his hand brushing your arm in a gentle contrast to the tension in his jaw. "We... didn't like it," he murmured, his voice low and rumbling, like thunder on the horizon. His dark eyes met yours, and you saw the flicker of vulnerability there, hidden beneath the possessiveness. They were immortal, powerful, but when it came to you, they were achingly human-like in their fears.
David's grip on your hip tightened just a touch before relaxing, his other hand coming up to tilt your chin toward him. "If he'd touched you, I'd—" He paused as you shot him a warning look, those piercing blue eyes of his sparkling with mischief. "—I would have politely asked him to reconsider his life choices."
You couldn't help it; laughter bubbled out of you, breaking the tension like a wave crashing on the shore. The sound seemed to melt them instantly. Paul's pout vanished, replaced by his infectious grin as he slung an arm around your shoulders. Marko chuckled, ruffling your hair affectionately. Dwayne's shoulders relaxed, a small smile tugging at his lips. Even David softened, his sharp edges dulling as he pressed a cool kiss to your forehead.
"You're impossible, all of you," you said, shaking your head. But there was no real annoyance in your voice, only fondness. Being with them meant navigating this dance of jealousy and love, and truthfully, it thrilled you. They weren't trying to cage you; they just loved you loudly, fiercely, in a way that made the world feel a little less lonely.
The boardwalk buzzed around you, oblivious to the little drama that had unfolded. Paul tugged you toward the Ferris wheel, his energy bouncing back like a rubber band. "C'mon, let's ride this thing before Marko starts whining about being hungry."
"I'm always hungry," Marko shot back, falling into step beside you. "But for once, it's not blood I'm craving—funnel cake?"
Dwayne walked on your other side, his hand finding yours in a quiet claim. David lingered behind, watching over the group like the leader he was, but you felt his gaze on you, warm despite his calm demeanor.
As the night wore on, you found yourself sandwiched between them on the Ferris wheel, the city lights sprawling out below like a sea of stars. Paul's head rested on your shoulder, Marko chattering about some prank he wanted to pull on the local surfers. Dwayne's arm was around your waist, steady and sure. David sat across, his knee brushing yours, that possessive spark still in his eyes but tempered now with contentment.
"You know we don't mean to smother you," David said quietly, when the others were distracted by the view. "It's just... you're ours. And we're yours. Seeing someone else look at you like that, it stirs things up."
You reached out, lacing your fingers with his. "I get it. And honestly? It's kind of hot when you all get like that. As long as you don't actually hurt anyone."
He smirked, bringing your hand to his lips for a kiss that lingered a beat too long. "Deal. Polite reconsiderations only."
The wheel creaked to a stop at the top, the wind whipping through your hair. Down below, the vendor's stall was a tiny speck, forgotten already. Up here, with them, you felt untouchable—loved in a way that was wild, eternal, and just a little dangerous.
Later, as the boys led you toward the cave, promises of a quieter night whispering in your ear, you reflected on how far you'd come from a lone wanderer on the boardwalk to the center of their world. Jealousy might look good on them, but belonging? That felt even better.
The cave welcomed you like an old friend, the dim torchlight flickering over the makeshift beds and scattered treasures they'd collected over the years. Paul immediately cranked up the boombox, blasting some hair metal anthem that had Marko headbanging in seconds. Dwayne busied himself with lighting more candles, casting a golden glow that softened the space's rough edges.
You collapsed onto the pile of blankets that served as your shared nest, the necklace still clutched in your hand. "You guys didn't have to scare him off so fast. I was about to haggle the price down."
David chuckled, shedding his coat and joining you, his body cool against yours as he pulled you into his lap. "Next time, we'll let you handle it. Maybe."
Paul flopped down beside you, nuzzling into your neck with exaggerated affection. "Or we could just intimidate him into giving you everything for free. Problem solved!"
Marko joined the pile, sprawling out with his head on your thigh. "Tempting. But where's the fun in that? I like watching her work her magic."
Dwayne settled in last, his presence a calming anchor as he draped an arm over Paul. The five of you tangled together like puzzle pieces, the earlier jealousy forgotten in the warmth of your bond.
As the music faded into the background, replaced by the distant crash of waves, you let yourself drift. They were possessive, yes—jealous guardians in leather and fangs. But they were also yours, heart and soul.
Because this came to me while I was doing laundry. This is a content warning: this has stalking, breaking and entering, and possibly some other things that won't sit with alot of viewers. I ask if you are not okay with these, please DO NOT interact with this. Otherwise if you're a freak like me, and are not a MINOR , please enjoy 😉
Imagine the boys stalking you for a good while...
You would have been at the 24 hour laundromat, the apartment you were renting doesn't have a room specifically for you to wash them but this was right next door. It's about 9 pm, and you can hear the boardwalk from a couple miles down from it. The music is blaring and pretty good; you hear a rocking saxaphone and can't help but cheer inside the empty but nice walls of the building. You jump onto the empty washer next to you, dropping the clothes that inhabit your floral and homemade basket, into the one you are ready to put quarters into.
As you are in your own mind, you hear the sound of bike engines revving as they sound like they stopped near your little area. You look up and catch the fading light of the bikers review lights. You shrug and continue about what you were doing previously.
You put your change into the washer and sit back with your magazines and books in the empty chair on either side of you; knowing the cleaning process was going to take a while, you needed something to keep you entertained for the coming hours.
You were deep in a Stephen king book when you were startled by the ring of the laundromat overhead bell ringing, indicating someone was coming in. You looked over and raised a brow at a curled haired brunette coming in, a large basket of dirty clothes in his hand.
He noticed you and looked over, bringing his sunglasses down for you to catch his eyes. You flushed and waved to him shyly, pulling your shorts down subconsciously, wishing you had worn longer pants, even if you couldn't bare the nights heat.
The guy smiled sheepishly at you and waved to ease your nerves and then begun doing his laundry; you went back to your book, letting him do his thing.
That's when you noticed the washer was taking longer then it usually should. You got up and looked at the time on your watch, it was nearing 11 o clock, why did-*DING*-oh there it is!
You got up, marking where you were in the book and begun putting your laundry in the dryer, paid and went back to what you were doing previously. It was a nice silence between you and the brunette; who introduced himself as micheal.
He seemed nice, his roommates and buddies dropped him off to do his and their laundry; you caught the way he said 'roommates' there was an emotion in it that you couldn't place, but you shrugged it off.
A while had passed and you waved to him as you gathered your belongings and headed home; that same night you noticed a pair of underwear and a tank top were missing. You scratched your head in confusion. "Maybe I misplaced it..." you say to yourself and went about your night, getting ready for bed.
After you had gone to bed, happily snoozing under your floral set of clean blankets, you felt a nice breeze come through your room; you remained asleep knowing deep in your mind that it was probably a dream because you remember closing the window.
A set of glowing eyes stared into your window from the shadows as they infiltrated, beginning to go through your belongings.
One of them yelped as he hit part of your bed post and his mouth was immediately covered by the set of hands that were around him. A husky voice, filled with want and hunger quietly warned him. "Paul...we cannot wake them...it will ruin the plan" the now named Paul nodded his head but the other pair of eyes could see the want and hunger had intensified at the way his mouth was covered by his fellow pack; they would deal with that later when they got home and before they tucked themselves into their own respective "beds".
They found what they wanted and as they left through your window, one left a rose that matched them respectively, one even blew you a bloody covered kiss into the air.
The next night arrived and something was wrong...you felt watched. That day you awoke, you found five roses on your windowsill, even though your window was closed. You shook your head shrugging it off and helped a woman at her stall, running off anyone that tried to take without paying.
In that moment, you were caught by what felt like a hand around your wrist; you turned around only to find nothing. You looked at your wrist and saw a genuine old and gold charm bracelet. It almost looked generation's old but well taken care of. You shuddered seeing a bat charm on it; you've never seen anything like that.
You only ever talked about it as a dream to have in your journal...could you be losing your mind?
No you're not
You turned around quickly. You heard a man's voice inside your head, didn't you?
You held the side of your head, why did ut hurt? You were thinking to yourself, feeling like you were spiraling until you ran into something hard.
You looked up and immediately blushed at the sight of micheal. He waved and smiled sheepishly at you, "hey uh...long time no see stranger?" He said jokingly. You let out a sigh seeing somewhat of a familiar face. "Oh hello there micheal...I'm sorry for bumping into you like that..." you told him.
He shook his head and waved his hand to try and stop you from continuing to apologize to him. He told you he was actually here with his buds and that you looked like you were having a problem.
How could he see you through this dense crowd?
You shook your head again and answered him. "I am just kinda going crazy" you joked, making him laugh slightly. "Wanna join us?" He asked, "I think you'll have fun"
You wanted to take him on his offer but you were helping some-where did the lady go? You had turned to see the stall was actually packed up and gone. You blinked in confusion and nodded slowly, taking micheals offer.
That night you had met the rest of his friends. You were a bit nervous around them, you couldn't lie. Especially with the way they stared at you. But it is hard to deny you had fun...until you felt like you were having a heart attack running from the security, poor guy...
They offered you a ride home but you turned it down. You enjoyed the night walks. You always loved the stars and moon.
That night, inside the cave...there were groans in the air. Marko had snuck away from the group while you were distracted by them and had snatched more articles of your clothing. He enjoyed the way your shirts smelled just like you, Paul was a bit more perverted; he enjoyed the way your underwear felt around his member. David and dwayne were the ones that kept your tank tops, practically keeping them stuffed in their jackets to always have a scent of you. Micheal was no better...he stole your pillow cases. There was just something about hugging your scent.
They knew they had to keep their distance when watching you from afar, their urges always sky rocketed when you were close enough.
You sent them into a heated frenzy, you cause them to ache...one night...you will awake to them...you will moan for them...scream...they ache to have your marks over their necks and their backs
Red roses are from micheal
Yellow roses from Paul and marko
White roses from David
And a black rose from dwayne
