Hello, are there any Pokémon that eat books?
A few bug types in their larvae form tend to be drawn to the cellulose and starch found in paper, and will absolutely chew on those pages. These include but are not limited to: Venonat, Wurmple, Scatterbug and Grubbin. Rodent pokemon also chew on books so keep an eye out for them.
It's important to note that none of these eat books as a primary source of nutrition, so if you have any of these pokemon and you keep them well fed and trained, you shouldn't have much of a problem. If they start sniffing around your bookshelves that might indicate mold growing in your shelves, dust, or really high humidity.
Librarian Kaela here. Go ahead and ramble at me about ghost-types in literature. (My spooky guys are hovering by me as I type. they want to know! /hj)
Hi Kaela!! Thanks for the ask.
Ghost types are almost unavoidable in literature, and they're present in every single genre: from horror to romance, from fantasy to sci-fi. They're useful both as a plot and narrative device, as well as certain characters due to their supernatural-ish nature.
There's a lot of iconic ghosts in literature, and they're not limited to just horror stories: Hamlet's father coming back as a Yamask with the King's face on it, the different ghost pokemon that visit Scrooge in the Winter Solstice Carol, the pokemon that raised Nobody Owens in the Greavard's book, so on and so forth.
There's also the fact that a lot of people who write or study literature are drawn to ghost types as well. And it makes sense, doesn't it? What is literature but a haunting inscribed in ink? What are stories but hauntings of events? Ghost types love haunting libraries for a reason.
Anyways, I've rambled a lot at this point, but outside of everything I just said, ghost types are just cool and fun! There's still a lot of things about them we don't understand and that really sets off a writer's creativity because the possibilities are quite literally endless.
remember that story about the paldean guy who tried to battle a windmill cuz he thought it was a duraludon
Oh yeah, Don Quixote! The timeless tale of a man and his Quaquaval futilely trying to ascribe to a chivalric code of times long gone.
It's not one of my favorites but it is a must read, and the way Sancho the Quaquaval plays against Quixote's delusions can be very very funny.
(@wingsofachampion) Hiya! What kinds of books exist here in the human world? -Tropius
I mean, all manner of books exist in general. But if you're asking about classics, then stuff like The Wailord and Pokemon Farm are obvious must reads.

Introduction post!
Hi!
The name's Klark, and I'm an Ibal native (a region near Alola) currently teaching literature in Hoenn. I don't have a particular specialization, though I do like a lot of ghost types.
I love talking about pokemon appearances within literature. (Before anyone asks, no, having Hamlet's dad come back as a Yamask instead of any other ghost type is perfect, and I won't be taking any criticism on this one-)
Outside of studying literature, I also write, garden and occasionally, engage in pokemon battles. My partner is Dondon the Marshtomp, but I do have several other pokemon as well.
Have any literary opinions you wanna air out, or just wanna fight me on Shakespearean pokemon? You found the perfect place.
More about me under the cut :))
