For every Great power, comes a huge prize, and the bonding between a Human and a Legendary is not the exception to the rule. Raging from fun meeting methods to even the lost of beloved families to the point of seemly not return, such it is the case of Moltres and Candela...
But, what if Candela's brother and family already knew that the price in exchange of the bonded -in this occasion- was Candy's life in exchange for him to succeed and everybody would comply to the Titan's selfish wish?...
What if at the moment of bonding with him, there was also the chance that Moltres would burn him alive when noticing the cruelty tainting his heart and their family? And as the bird wasn't contented with him, it decided to bond with who was supposed to be the tribute immediately after his dead?
What if knowing this (that Candela was the price to pay), that was actually the reason that would make them despise her even before the bonding, including her mother?
Or what if... It could have been completely the opposite? What if her Brother actually really loved Candela, her sweet little sister, and he refused the bonding when he noticed that, while he was receiving it, the price for all this was Candela. And he said "No!" To the Titan, who felt deeply offended and decided to burn him alive in exchange and power display?
So many emotions and feelings burn down to Ashes...
So many memories forever haunting...
Candela is a small and sweet-looking 7 years old, with long and wavy hair and dressed in a lovely summer dress. She has been trying to open a little package of miscellaneous hair ornaments for kids for an hour already and the happiness on her face when she finally manages to do it enlightens her oldest brother's eyes completely. He is 18 years old, and is carrying her up in his arms carefully while they wait for ice cream.
"Mom doesn't like me to eat sweets... Are you sure is this ok?" Candy asks with the sweetest and shyest voice, yet still her eyes are too entertained with the things inside the package to look at the content expression of her brother.
"Bah... Mom isn't here, is she?... Besides, it is your birthday, Candela... You deserve at least a little trip and some gifts." He adores her, even if the rest tries to avoid her. And the childish giggles are a prize on this day when their parents seem to ignore it. "...Besides you have been speaking about this Skitty Ice Cream since a week. You really wanted it, didn't you?"
At their side, is a Growlithe that belongs to him. He is loyal, obedient and fluffy, and can't wait for some ice cream drops to fall for him to take.
"Yes..." Replies Candy trying to not make her excited smile too obvious. Between her hands is a little package of pink hair clips. "Oh those are pretty!"
"Oh Great! Those seem perfect right now too with this wind." Carefully, he sits her on one of the tall chairs at the front of the ice cream place, and combs her hair away from her face with the hair clip "Excellent, you have a really cute face, Candela, never hide it, ok?"
"Ok!" A happy smile blooms on her face that only brightens even more when he handles her the ice cream. All pink and vanilla... Her heart feels full and contented.
"Now let's go home, Candy..."
"Candy... Hey... Candela?"
When she realizes she had been lost in a memory, Candela already has Spark's face at barely 8 inches of her own, and he looks concerned.
Her eyes fallback into the ice cream in front of her. Strawberry pink and vanilla, with two colored cookies as Skitty ears...
...Her heart feels empty and lonely...
"Of course, darling." Candela says with a practiced gorgeous smile. Not hiding her face, with apparent genuine confidence. "Why wouldn't I be?".
