I prefer woods to the Outback. Blitz is my Zebstrika and she's always by my side, and with an attitude as well. I own a ranch and will be breeding horse pokemon to introduce some new variations.

Don't try to force my characters to do anything that I don't want them to do.
Do not try to insert a ship onto this blog. This is preemptive, but I've seen a fair share of TF2 RP blogs have anons trying to force their ships onto them. I don't want that happening here. Also, while Mick is bisexual, David is hetero, so it just wouldn't work. And would rightfully make them both upset because you'd basically be crossing their boundaries and denying their personal feelings (and identity for one party).

i can talk whenever! :) i'm enjoying looking at all of the strange places in the city, some of this stuff is so bizarre. there are schools that teach battling instead of shiny hunting! and that teach only general things too! :)

You've done a lot to help a lot of people Arceus, you have given so much to others, helped Yarden so much, you helped Tisa, you have been a huge part in dealing with the distortions, you've made so much good food and strived to learn how to do so. From my understanding, stress can raise the levels of certain hormones, making the pokemon more prone to heart issues that could eventually build up to them just... dying, really. Really messes with them, too, cause they could stop eating from the stress if it's a lot all at once. Happened with Patrat when he first came in, since he had just suffered a severely traumatic incident, then spent some time in the hospital, and THEN was dropped off in a completely new place and had to face a tearful goodbye when his previous owner left. Poor thing struggled to eat for a while until he got used to the ranch and his new mates, Ingo and Emmet (a lillipup and purrloin respectively, someone named them after those two train guys), but he's been doing a lot better since. His teeth are fully back, too, now! Real playful, too, on top of being just generally alert, as patrat tend to be
Taking a look, and yeah, it can. Though, that anon also didn't mention that some pokemon are... capable of self harm, like biting themselves or excessive grooming to the point of skin becoming raw, which, of course, could lead to infections. It can get bad, but not every pokemon will do this, thankfully in my opinion
When someone says a pokemon isn't eating, it's... like how I say Mick doesn't really eat. Sure, he still eats, he's still alive, but he doesn't eat as much as he could and very much should, which has lead to him becoming weaker than he used to be, and losing weight. Mick's a very, very stressed man, just like Patrat was, so he doesn't eat as much as he should
Friends are important to social creatures. Social creatures have social needs that, when not met, causes them to become stressed. Now, having two or more of the same pokemon for social pokemon is best, but having anyone is immensely better than having nothing at all. This is also why blokes who can only have one of a very social species are advised to spend as much time they can with the pokemon

It's a way to relieve stress, but it's a pretty bad way of doing it. Problem is, when they get to that point, they often have no other outlet for all that energy. So they either hurt themselves, or they hurt others, if they're kept with anything else. Or maybe even handlers, but that can moreso be a sign of trauma and physical abuse rather than just stress
It's less the pokemon maintaining a delicate balance, and more... the hormones that tell them they're hungry don't work right while in all that stress, so it takes longer for the real bad hunger to hit and remind them that yet, they do need to eat. Some... will still ignore that... But I've heard those are pretty rare cases. Problem with that is that... that's just what we know of. Survivorship bias, if you're familiar
Most pokemon are, on some level, social. They seek out interaction from others, like how you wanna be around people you like and chat with them. Social pokemon will groom each other, play with each other, and just generally enjoy another creature's company, whereas a solitary pokemon will generally not seek that out. They may tolerate grooming and being in the presence of another person, but they don't actively initiate it very often, unless they really like how it feels. But mind you, this isn't a black and white thing, because sociality is often a spectrum, and even varies between members of a species. Sure, most horses prefer living in large herds, especially in the wild where it's a necessary factor for survival, but in captivity, they may actually prefer just... a couple other pokemon here or there that they have the option to interact with

This is false. Physical abuse is not a stepping stone to training healthy pokemon, it just makes scared pokemon that are likely to attack anyone, their own trainer included. They're scared, not trained
Yeah, although, if that is the case for you, you really ought to see a doctor and get that checked out, that sounds like either a severe sign of stress and trauma, or a condition like insomnia where you just don't get as much sleep as you need. You really ought to be getting 6-8 hours so your body can repair itself and your brain can reset your hormonal state
Yes, absolutely! Petting is a form of grooming! And yes, plenty will want to be pet one moment, and then be done with it the next. That's fine and normal, and they'll tell you with their body language or just by getting up to leave. What you do is very, very simple- you respect that and stop petting them. This also builds trust between you and the pokemon, because it tells the pokemon that you're willing to listen to their boundaries, and that makes them happy, and therefore more likely to approach you again for more pets in the future! :-)

Those strange pills were likely sleep meds. Did you feel better after having those meds? Frankly, you're an adult, so you really ought to be able to make the choice to go see a doctor and not have Conrad involved in it at all. To never see a doctor for your sleep issues is medical neglect. My parents medically neglected me, too, though...
Petting is so simple, even literal babies get it! Of course, babies also just like to grab things, haha, so they do need to be taught not to grab the pokemon in a way that hurts them

If they never know better, two things will happen: they'll die a life of agony and pain, or they'll die because they finally broke and fought back. Many that do know better will try to escape, try to leave, try to get back to that better. Either way, it's not a life worth living.
Glad those pills made you sleep better, it sounds like you ought to have access to more. Conrad, however... seen this with my own parents, they tell you an exaggerated, scary form of the truth, hold it over your head, to scare you out from reaching out. You likely would be sent to police custody or at least be visited by the police, but they only do that when something is very, very, dangerously wrong. They don't take kids from their parents willy nilly, and don't even do it in situations where the kid really ought to be removed, but there are cases where the police and authorities will take the child immediately, because the child was being hurt very badly in the parent's "care"
When that happens, you usually get sent to a home where you live with other kids removed from their parents, or given up by their parents for whatever reason, or you get sent to live with a foster family, and be given access to counseling, therapy, medical care, and a general support network to help you recover from what happened. It's still jarring, of course, but it's better than nothing
