More green to match the voodoo aesthetic.
His mouth is closed; he speaks through that red line, which is a radio frequency.
And those bones are deer ribs.
Because I wanted to make him more like a deer.
Someone very old-fashioned would only do radio broadcasts.
No other type of technology, only those from the 1920s and 1930s.
He would depend on phone books and landlines.
He loves jazz and gambling, but his favorite musical instrument is the violin.
He doesn't care about being an overlord; he prefers to keep to himself and doesn't form partnerships.
Instead of having a pact to fulfill offerings, he would be a serial killer for pleasure. Overlord meetings (he didn't attend).
He doesn't want power, to dominate, to govern.
He just wants to keep to himself. He's in the hotel because he wants to, not for domination.
It's not for anything; he's only there because he wants to see the hotel crumble on its own.
He won't do anything to stop or try to damage it.
Because if the Hazbin Hotel becomes too popular, he'll say, "Well, my work here is done."
And he'll leave, disappear, never to be heard from again, no matter how much Charlie tries to force him to redeem himself. He'll just leave without a word.
He's not interested in dominating hell; he just likes to enter and participate in places to watch them fail.
Because he sees that the place is in decline; when it's doing well, he leaves without a word.
Followers? He doesn't want to, he has no intention of creating an army.
His pacts are more about fulfilling favors, and he's a good listener; anyone would fall for his smooth talk.
He knows how to play any kind of instrument, but prefers to play only the older ones like saxophone, clarinet, piano, and pipe organ.
His powers go beyond a voodoo aesthetic.
That is, he already has them, but the souls of his victims would be in voodoo dolls like Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog, and he would guard them exactly like Basil Hawkins guards the straw dolls in One Piece.
Speaking of which, straw would be one of his favorite voodoo accessories.
Alastor would use voodoo like this:
His pacts would be like this: Alastor tricked Husk, manipulating him by saying he would get what he most desires if he gave everything, and Husk, who fell for Alastor's smooth talk, accepted.
Instead of a green chain, it would be a skeletal hand, with a villainous vibe from Coraline, connected. Human bones would be used to strangle the husk, and the fingers would bear details of everything the victim went through; for example, if the husk had a wife, the hand would have a wedding ring.
Alastor's powers, instead of moving through the shadows, would be more about opening a one-way passage to the voodoo world—a smiling hole with a scalding (acidic) green glow inside.
When Alastor wanted to capture someone, he would use his voodoo dolls (like those that bothered Dr. Facilier) to build a box. When someone, for example (Angel), was placed inside, the dolls would sew them together with voodoo stitches mixed with acupuncture needles, and slide down the box down a slide that leads directly to the voodoo world.
Alastor's most powerful demonic form is an anthropomorphic deer, both living and skeletal, with empty eyes and voodoo aesthetics.
His vocabulary is antiquated, but this time… Instead of referring to people by their names, he would use "my dear," "my young lady," "my consecrated brat," "little brat," "ill-mannered boy."
(This Alastor would have a very strong prejudice against future generations.)
In his demonic form, this would only occur when he was already on edge, so irritated that he was about to collapse.
He has an advantage and a disadvantage when using it; generally, when it's the last resort to deal with someone stronger, he controls it, but when he's at that level of rage, he turns into a beast (but this will only happen if he has no other choice).
Speaking of which, Alastor can transform grotesquely; for example, he would become a werewolf, going through lycanthropy until he becomes one completely. However, Alastor wants to feel sensation; it's not masochism, it's more about enjoying suffering and humiliating himself because of it.
Another of Alastor's powers is that his summons wouldn't be materializations, but rather a crater opening up and a skeletal hand emerging. (Zombie vibe) holding something he asked for, he takes it and she comes back
Another possibility would be his voodoo dolls or shadows bringing him something, sometimes a rope-powered voodoo elevator like a cable car.
The world would be a Pentagram City, but in shades of green, yellow, and purple.
But everything else in a flat, transparent, ghostly vibe.
When you're there and want to return to hell, you have to wait in line to get a card to take an elevator, wait for yours to arrive.
And have the luck to get there; sometimes some get stuck and never move again, others just plummet down the acid river because Alastor no longer uses those methods.
Alastor can summon green webs with sticky characteristics, or that hallucinate, or that make you sleepy, or that burn on contact.
In combat, Alastor only knows how to throw direct punches and kicks like in a street fight. He can also break someone's microphone.
And he can summon weapons, preferably antiquated ones, and use a Thompson submachine gun to mow everyone down.
In short, a mix of gangster and brawler.
Well, that's it. I think the part about the out-of-control deer and lycanthropy was overemphasized. Ignore them if you want.
