if only
If only her hair
was as rich as the obsidian sky,
and her lips matched
the sunset's crimson design.
If only her eyes
bore the ocean's azure and surely,
her skin reflected the pale moon. Then perhaps, a beaut
such as that girl should feel the tender
shallowness of another's fickle harmony.
Perhaps, she'd live in vanity
and galore under the gaze of
lustrous jewels.
She'd never feel
the desperation for beauty
other than from a dapper soul.
