see my baby smile, that’s a blessing. i officially have a toddler now! 🥹 crazy how time flew by. looking back, i can’t even imagine how i was able to survive a whole year of being a mom. i get pretty emotional when i think back on all the changes i went through, physically and mentally. i was never ready to be a mother. i remember being scared thinking about what’s gonna happen next or how i’m gonna handle being alone again with you the next day. until now, there are still things that i am unsure of, and instances when i think that i am not doing the right thing. i tell people all the time that i am so lucky to have you. i didn’t have anyone to help me take care of you on a day to day basis, but i never felt like it was such a difficult task. it’s true that a mother’s love dares all things because i was able to endure everything because of my love for you. just know that whatever i do, i do it all for you, Callie. i have been called many names. but my favorite of all, is when i head you call me “Mama.” i don’t know what i would do, or who i would have become if i didn’t have you, and dadda by my side. grateful that i am one of the few lucky mommas out there who get the chance to be with their babies everyday, and watch you grow. you will always have me, whatever you do, i will always be proud of you. and i will love you for as long as i live, and until the afterlife. thank you.
