I’m still here. I still buy all the packs like an absolute fool. In fact, I bought the Book Nook kit yesterday. The purchase went through but I didn’t get the game. EA Help sends you round in circles so I took to EA Answers but the issue still hasn’t been resolved, coming up on 24 hrs. I never understood when people got angry over this kind of thing but I’m feeling it today lol
playing around w. microsoft office as a child was crazy. it felt transgressive. magical. a portal into the beautiful world of business. i imagined myself one day becoming proficient with every menu in excel and word and powerpoint, expertly choosing between them in a manner similar to a samurai deciding on whether to use the wakizashi or the katana. like stepping into the tabernacle without genuflecting. the sensual mystique of the coffee room. an entire imaginary world of grey-blue carpeted hallways and black plastic caster wheels on chairs. the bright ideas of the future, all springing to life as i am assisted by a paperclip shaped homunculus. slayer of demons of profit loss. the holy armor of the suit and tie. the will of god channeled through commerce. kneeling to the invisible hand, and transcribing its will into an infinite scroll of beautiful white pages.

This is a recolour of the Boring Overalls by @cupidjuice. You will need the mesh!
I used the gorgeous Tasteful Recolours put together by @hamburgercakes as inspiration BUT I played about with the colour and pattern combos because my favourite hobby is making life difficult for myself
So, there are 16 swatches - each with a plain jean swatch from the Cottage Garden palette and a complementary Rifle Paper Co. undershirt

Sidenote(s): After I started these I realised @glitchysims had already used some of the Rifle Paper Co. patterns on the very same overalls. I went ahead & finished these anyway because I liked the idea of a full set but I highly recommend checking out their work too!
Some of the darker swatches have what I affectionately term ‘crusty edges’. I tried to fix it but honestly I wasn’t sure how - I don’t think it’s too noticeable in game!
I am by no means a CC expert, so this may be rough around the edges. Please let me know if you encounter any problems!

It’s been forever since I touched this blog, but I was taking a trip down memory lane tonight and realized that the mesh I used for this is no longer available.
I know these re-colors were quite popular, and turns out I’m (fairly) smart and kept a version with the mesh included. So I thought I’d share in case anyone is still interested.

Judging by the state of my inbox, a lot of you want to know what happened that lead to me leaving the Game Changer program and I was gonna write up a MASSIVE text post about it — I still might one day — but honestly… I’m not sure if I could be bothered right now. A lot of things happened, big things and small things, public things and things that took place in the Discord and DMs; all of it absolute bullshit but none of it is anything I want to continue to deal with, which is why I left.
This post still turned out to be quite long so I’m gonna put it under a cut, but if you’re expecting ALL the juicy details, this isn’t it. This is a couple of the major issues but it’s just the tip of the iceberg.
It feels awful to know this is going on behind closed doors, but I also have a lot of sympathy for some of the SimGuru’s and people who work on the Sims 4.
EA clearly hasn’t cared about the players in a long time. I imagine investing in a good-quality Community Manager who cares about the role is not high on their priority list, and I imagine this person has little to no say in whether or not they invest in Simblrs in the way that they should anyway (speaking to them in a professional and appropriate way is a different matter of course).
I can only imagine what a hellscape it is to work on the game in its current state. The fact that EA don’t provide resources coupled with the constant negative feedback and downright abuse I see hurled at them every time they so much as post a teaser trailer on Twitter.
I fear this game and it’s community is stuck in a negative cycle and I really hope it changes with 5, but I’m not sure that it will now.
just a quick note to say I hope everyone is staying safe and well in the current circumstances. there are no words for how bizarre things have become in such a short space of time.
as the real world has taken some very worrying turns, I’m getting back into playing sims more and enjoying the escapism, and I hope you all are too xx

Long time no see! It’s been a strange old year, and I’ve been simming on and off in that time. This renovation is something I did recently after the release of Tiny Living (no, the irony is not lost on me), and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I decorated it with the Delgato’s in mind, so there’s room for a family of four (parents plus kid plus toddler) plus a couple of extra bedrooms as a treat (aka I didn’t know what else to do with them). I was a little fatigued after decorating such a huge house, so the landscaping/outside space is T E R R I B L E. I am sorry.
Anyway, here’s the admin stuff:
