You know what? I think Sam has more respect for Caitriona than she's ever had for him. I don't think she respects him at all actually, that's why every time she talks about him it's to take the piss. In the last 8 years I can count on 1 hand, anything positive she's said. Sorry for ranting in your ask box, don't know why I'm so annoyed this morning.

I’ve had a stack of comments in my inbox that echo this sentiment. Look my personal opinion is that Cait has an array of defense mechanisms when it comes to the subject of Sam. She has trouble modulating her responses, she gets snarky because on some level she hates what has become of the situation and she knows it’s bloody wrong and she projects. She snaps at fans, she ‘teases’ Sam and she becomes avoidant on SM when she can’t deal. That’s what chronic lying does. It brings out the worst in people.

I cannot imagine either are happy with this ridiculous freakshow but I think Cait justifies it in her mind whereas Sam is drowning in it.

It’s disrespectful to their union and it has to STOP. But will it? If the last month is any indication it looks like the narrative is going full steam ahead.

And before people jump down my throat these are just my opinions on how I view the situation.

@odessa-2 You nailed it. Caitriona has major anger issues when it comes to dealing with repercussions of her & Sam’s actions. Yes, Sam must be included in the statement. Whether he’s in total agreement of how this freak show is playing out, he’s dead center. She has a very short fuse…I saw it up close & watched her the NYC Sak’s Costume Showing as she slammed a fan for calling her Cate. She said, very briskly, it’s Caitriona. The fan was just excited to meet and get her autograph. I have no clue as to why other than it’s just her personality but she immediately gets defensive and says what’s on the tip of her tongue. She has no filter when it comes to her opinions. Problem is many of those opinions are a result of the mirage of lies and unfinished statements surrounding the IFH, babies, fauxgagement and fauxwedding. Actor’s memorize scripts and those words are projected within the film or on stage. When the director yell ‘cut’ or the curtain falls, it’s over, done….but for them, when in public or on SM, they are living the ‘script’, 24/7.

All of the above. Their situation is no walk in the park! It’s just so sad for both of them. It’s just a premiere. It’s not the GG or the Oscars that would justify such a display of wardrobe and the PA less formally dressed, the Branaghs and the Dornans walking the RC together and her not dragging T on RC are optics enough for me. She’s deliberately sending the vibes that she is not married to that guy, not the father of her baby, the way he gets treated at these events. A real couple would be on par dressed on the same level, walk the RC holding hands and don’t mind being interviewed about their bambino. Sam alone without any innuendo of an attached blondie in NYC. They’re telegraphing:”We are the couple!” JMHO folks! And I don’t care if Starz spies read this because what they are doing to 2 beautiful, innately good people is horrible, beyond cruel!
