"So... you wanna make out?"
“Ooh! You’re pretty hot so sure!” She winked at him, purposefully looking him over. “You sure though? If you really mean that, I won’t hold back.” She was sort of kidding - she really would kiss him if he meant what he said about making out but would not necessarily fully make out with him.
Send me, "So... you wanna make out?" to see how my muse reacts.
We will fight until our blood runs Red
Upon coming to the divided path, there was of course debate, or more accurately argument, between the two team mates about which one to take. Amelia wanted to take the left path because it was, according to her, more pretty. Gilbert disagreed and wanted to take the right, why Amelia had no idea. In the end, they took the right path, Gilbert practically dragging her that way. she guessed it was only fair - she had been doing the same to him.
So they reached a tree. Amelia couldn't help but stare up in admiration, being a flower child and watever, as the height was impressive. And it was beautiful. However, her admiration didn't last long - there were more important tasks ahead. From the look of what was in front of ehr, they were climbing the tree and finding something up in its lofty branches. The presence of bow and arrows were a happy sight for Amelia, along with a tree in general. She enjoyed climbing trees as a child, and even now, and considered herself skilled in the art. Thus she bet it would not take long to retrieve the object.
"So here's the plan. I shoot an arrow attached to the rope. We climb that rope. Then we grab the key. Yeah?" She figured it would be easier than climbing through the branches, which were often difficult to get to. Of course, this way required upper body strength so maybe they would use a mixture of the two. Still, Amelia did as she said, shooting an arrow attached to rope up before swinging the bow over her back. She began ehr climb with the rope, especially necessary considering the first few branches did not usually support much weight. Less than halfway up the tree, she switched to climbing the branches, her upper body strength waring out. Despite, at least she figured, her better ability to climb trees than most others, it took Amelia a few tries to reach the key. Finally, reaching it, she yelped and held up the key for Gilbert to see. Not wanting to take the long way down, she decided to more or less slide down the ripe, the key safely tucked away in a pocket. Using her powers to create vines that would hold unto her in case the rope broke, she slid down, landing on the ground feet first with a loud thump. She grinned at Gilbert. "We got it. Now let's go see what's behind door number 1."
"Whose idea was it for us to fight monsters in the middle of the night?!" She grumbled, currently trying to kill or at least injure one of said monsters. "It's just asking for someone to die!" Maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but Amelia was sure she at least had some bloody scratches and bruises from tussling with the monsters. Currently, she ahd vines wrapped around one's legs while she wrestled on the ground with it. There went all hope for any easy task. She really hoped Gilbert was doing alright with the monster he fought, because she sure wasn't getting far herself.
Honestly, she didn't even know how to kill the monster. Did you take it's head off, rip out it’s heart? Or was it invincible? If that was the case, they were screwed. However, she hoped hitting it enough times would do some good. Everything had to have a breaking point, right? On second thought, maybe she should try something more deadly. Yelling at Gilbert to cover her, she ducked away, intent on making a better weapon with her powers. While many normal weapons would probably have worked, she decided on a baseball bat, something she was familiar with. It was hard to see in the dark but she was fairly sure she was forming it right. Once done, she felt her way back to the fight where she wung the baseball bat at one of them. After many hits to the monsters' heads, and maybe an accidental one to Gilbert's, the monsters were down, leaving the two huffing but still alive.
"Ok, now we just gotta go underwater and get the stupid ball thing," She panted out glaring at what she assumed was the water. The tasks were definitely getting harder. None of the other ones had ended up in the two bloody and battered. There had to be some nice reward at the end of all this. She couldn't even remember what it was. Or why she signed up in the first place for that matter. However, all there was left to do was trudge on and hope for the best. And be ready for the worst knowing the school.

“Come on, come non! We have to get to the next area!” Amelia was currently tumbling along a dirt path to the location of the next task. She pulled Gilbert by the hand behind her. Every now and then, she would begin to sway, almost falling, before she had to put her hand out and find something to hold onto. Why did it have to be dark for this challenge? But still, Amelia was excited, liking to spend a lot of time at the task’s location.
It was a miracle by the time they got there that they hadn’t tripped over each other. The dark was not exactly suitable for running along an uneven path. Maybe it was there, or really her, adrenaline that kept them going. Panting but grinning, Amelia looked around but it was too dark to see much. ”I think the clue said it was under the water? You ready to go for a swim?” she joked with the other, her feet leading her forward, hoping he would follow.

“A fair decision.” Meg conceded. “If I had the ability to grow plants like that, I would too.” Bugs didn’t tend to taste amazing, and the texture often left something to be desired. Meg would much rather a nice salad than a handful of insects any day. “But I would willingly eat the bugs in this situation. It is somewhat life-threatening, after all. The other two options result in extreme pain or death.” Common sense dictated that they take their chances with the bugs.
“I guess I’m lucky there, “Amelia chucked. Her powers would come in handy in survival situations. Even without her powers, she would really want to avoid eating bugs. She sighed. “I know. I have to say I would if it came down to it. I don’t want to die after all. But I would really try to avoid any situation that led to eating bugs in the first place.” Even more reason to be careful and avoid things that only ended in death.

“Actually, they’re a great source of protein.” Meg said. “And they hold all of the essential amino acids you need, so they’re quite healthy.” This, Meg learned, was crucial to know in survival situations. “In a life-threatening situation, you’re safest to eat large insects to stay alive.”
Amelia almost gagged at the possibly of eating a bug. “But they’re bugs. Why would you willingly eat one? Even if they have protein and amino acids, why would you eat them if you could eat anything else?” Amelia could not imagine eating bugs unless that was really all there was. “In a life threatening situation, I’m just growing some plants,” she muttered.

“Pretty good. I got Gilbert. Who is... Gilbert. We didn’t do so well with the first task but we’re catching up. And you?”

Gilbert had been eerily quiet during Amelia’s exclamation of their suspenseful new clue. He had decided to linger around her back, kicking up dirt every now and then for the sake of keeping busy. His hands clasped behind his back, and he’d dispense glances in the woman’s direction only sparingly. Following her gesture towards the new destination, he only said “Yeah,” stupidly.
It’s not that the German felt exasperated with the growing challenges. His energy was unending in the worst of ways, today not excluded. But there was a sickly pit growing in his stomach, one that pressed his facial expression into careful calculation.
The movement in front of him focused his thoughts. Amelia was standing, the veil of flowers floating to the ground, and Gilbert pitied the waste. Didn’t they just have Earth Day a week ago, or some shit? In any case, the student’s eyes widened a fraction upon his comrade as his stagnant body turned to ice.
“Amelia,” he rasped, voice inaudible.
Then, using every ounce of strength in his willowy body, he tackled Amelia from her back onto the ground. They collapsed onto the flowers and at once Gilbert was shouting in her ear, all the blocked up excitement now springing forth like a flood. The cries, being so rapidly vocalized without a gasp of air, were mostly incoherent. Only pieces could be understood, implying his thrill of the specific location for this challenge—one of his favorite places on campus, and then some.
Amelia was enjoying talking about the challenge so much that she didn’t notice Gilbert’s silence at first. Which was odd, considering she couldn’t remember any other time he made this little noise. Gilbert was usually all energy, talking people's’ ears off. It was only when she turned around did she notice something was off.
Not only was he not talking for once, but his face told her that something was off, maybe even wrong. She furrowed ehr eyebrows in worry, concerned but also amazed. She almost considered taking a video of the rare sight. However, the rarity of it quickly transformed all feelings to worry. Something was definitely not right.
“Hey, are you alright?” She found herself asking, her voice soft. She moved closer to the other, and reached her hand out as if she was about to touch him. Concern colored her face as she watched him for any sign that he was alright, that this was a joke or something.
Then she was flying.
She landed on the hard ground with an “Uf.” The other was on top of her, on her back though so she really couldn’t punch at him. So she settled for some kicks and a “What the hell, Gilbert?!” She tried to comprehend his words, but he was making little sense. At first, she thought he had gone hysterical but she then she almost thought he sounded, happy? Really, she did not understand him.

”Yuck. It would have to be a pretty dire situation for me to eat bugs. Which I guess makes his a dire situation...”
