i literally thought āwow cordless hairdryers exist nowā until i realizedā¦
AMERICAN HEALTHCARE IN A NUTSHELLĀ
Claude Monetās home in GivernyĀ
Todayās aesthetic: keeping the same tab open in your browser for three solid weeks because youāre definitely going to get around to reading and/or acting on whateverās in it any minute now.
This is a personal attack.
this is like a group chat
once my brothers friend walked into his room and just started sniffing the air and went āoh i smell a quarterā and then walked over to a pile of clothes and moved it and picked up a quarter and i literally canāt stop thinking about it itās been like a year and it haunts me to this day
is your brotherās friend mr krabs
SLAAAAY TORONTO IM SO PROUD OF THIS
First day of life up until 6th gradeĀ
Jumped all the way to Freshman year of High School
Then I cut my hair Junior year, why did I do that
Slowly it started growing back and thenā¦.
I finally felt comfortable to express myself (the picture on the left was my debut)
At this point in my transition I am 6 months into HRT
A year on HRT
Over a year and a half on hormones. My transition hasnāt been the clearest path but I am so happy that I am on it.
Update:
2 years since my coming outĀ
2 years on hrt
2.3 years on hrt
2 and a half years on hormonesĀ
Its been a while since Iāve done an update so here it goes
At this point I am 3 years into my Hormone Replacement Therapy. Iām thriving.Ā
These pictures were taken days apart and I am 3 and a half years into my medical transition (The picture on the right was also posted by Instagram on all their major social media handles attached with an interview I did with them for International Womenās Month)
During this time I was 4 years into HRT. Clearly living for it.
I am currently 4 and a half years into HRT, 5 years into socially transitioning, 6 years into when i first came out to my community around me and Iām loving life more than I ever thought I would.Ā
so we have a conversational safeword in my group of friends and itās great, idk why more people donāt do this. whenever someone wants a subject to be dropped immediately no questions asked we just sayĀ āspleenā and we stop immediately and itās a really good way to avoid crossing the line between teasing friends and genuinely upsetting them by accident, or stopping debates from turning into actual arguments
Wait but no this is actually a brilliant idea.Ā
When I was a little baby high school student, I used to do the Living Chessboard at our local Renaissance Faire. We always used āforsoothā to indicate if someone was actually injured and needed to quickly end a choreographed fight. It was also very useful when doing little street improvisations because if someone tried to stop you, you could say āforsooth good sir, I must leave.ā and they knew you couldnāt do a scene right then. We all used it in real life too, to say āno reallyā and it was amazing because there was a word used in a casual setting that meant āIām not playing, I need you do listen to me.ā So if someone tried to pick me up or tickle me, I could say āforsooth stop.ā And I was instantly obeyed. I had āforsoothā long before I learned what a safeword was, and having a non-sexual safeword for everyday use amongst a circle of friends was the best thing ever. It made me feel very safe and listened to, even as a tiny 14 year old. Because letās be honest, 14 year old me was teeny tiny and adorable and itās easy to coo at kids when they say āno donāt pick me up!ā but to have a word that every single person respected to mean āwhatever I say after this MUST be listened toā was amazing. It gave me a definitive voice when it would have been easy to dismiss me.
So basically having platonic safewords is awesome and Iām all for it.
302 Social interaction
My family has āIām over itā whatever conversation or situation you might be in, āIām over itā means I am done this is a hard stop. If its like a store at the mall it means I need extraction immediately because of allergies or anxiety or PTSD or whatever and I need meds or to get out or hands are gonna fly.
Bring this back!!!!! I had this in an old friend group, and in a large group chat I was a part of! Itās a really simple way of including people with trauma, anxiety, triggers, and squicks! (Squick = not a trigger, but makes the person very very uncomfortable.)

Why do I never think about the possibility of snow on the ocean??? Now I see why, because itās too ethereal
