the human body when you use it and exist in it
Real thing that changed how i write: I started asking "what does this character think is wrong with them" and separately "what is actually wrong with them." Those two things are almost never the same. She thinks she's too much. She's actually terrified of being too little. He thinks he's bad at commitment. He's actually just never met someone he trusted enough. The gap between their diagnosis of themselves and the real thing, that's your character arc right there. you don't have to explain it. just write both.
does anyone even smile or dream or laugh or draw or play or jump or skip or hope or wish or swim or sing or cherish or believe or trust or think or want or need or romp or cavort or fraternize or splash or desire or run or jubilate or marvel or gaze or explore or imagine or ponder or love anymore
i honestly don't really understand why "some people prefer watching gameplay online rather than playing games themselves" is treated as such a taboo when being a spectator is considered a pretty mundane way to engage with most sports, game shows, reality tv or even just like. chess.
im like if someones deadbeat loser unemployed boyfriend was a girl with a job
why not have the reader re-read a sentence now and then? it won't hurt him....
