that i had peaked.

I want to hear your thoughts on Aarmau. It's low-key become a fixation for me because everyone has their own wildly different takes and yet they're all the same take somehow and I for one would love to hear what you have to say on the matter

Okay I'm sorry for my inconsistent posts recently, life's been crazy and whatnot. But I def wanted to respond to this.

AARMAU CAN SUCK MY BALLS

I think my hatred mostly comes from how much I love laurance 🤤 and just how Aaron's character was written in MCD. It's so obvious that Aaron stole all of Laurance's planned plotpoints. Having the endgame with Aph, sacrificing himself for Garroth and returning as Shad's host. That whole plot would've gone so much better if Jason hadn't butted in because he was jealous of blocks.

I think Aaron's character CAN be written well. Therefore, Aarmau can be written well. I love Aarmau in Mystreet. Mind you I haven't watched it in years. I think Phoenix Drop High is so weird. The age gap is so so uncomfy, but I like how Aaron's personality is written, probably the best out of all the series. I like dorky anti-social Aaron who's still this protective and strong guy. It goes well with Aphmau's personality throughout all of the series.

It's just so hard for me to get on the Aarmau train, because of the way Aaron was brought into the series, and all the havoc it has wreaked onto my favorite characters and plots. However, I don't think Aarmau should be erased. I think it should've been written differently. I love both of the characters, and they have so much potential to be great. I just think they need to be taken care of by better writers.

early mcd is so hard to watch not because it’s just survival, let’s plays are easy to sit through, but jess is like. so bad at minecraft. i can’t stand watching her do the stupidest shit in minecraft and butcher literally every single name that appears on screen

No, cause let’s talk about how the introduction of his character actually ruined the series. It’s no secret that one of—if not the only—reason this unnecessary character was introduced was because Aphmaus RL husband had this childish ass jealousy towards any character that was shipped with Aphmau. So in we have Aaron, Jasons OC where they had to find a way to shoehorn him as the main love interest.

This backfired so badly on them, to the point where they’re literally not able to backtrack on it. Aaron is an unnecessary character in the way that if you got rid of him, the story would not suffer. Or if you gave his role to someone else like Zane, or Vlyad, or Gene, the story would make 1000 times more sense.

Just with this character two and a half seasons worth of romantic development between Garmau and Laurmau went down the fucking drain. Not to mention that the development of Aarmau was done in such an unsatisfactory way, that the main excuse for its lack of development was that it happened “off screen”.

Aphmau most definitely wrote herself into a corner when she twisted everything to literally revolve around this ship (Aarmau). It’s why I believe season three went on hiatus/discontinued. Garroth is now relegated to babysitting duty when he could be in O’Khasis doing anything else, and Laurance is nowhere to be seen. The two most prevalent characters since the beginning and they were sidelined for this rando that barely had two lines of dialogue until the second quarter of season two.

It just felt so shitty as a Laurmau or Garmau shipper to be given that little hope all for it to be set on fire and chucked into the ocean all because the authors husband was mad that a bunch of snot-nosed nine and twelve year olds liked his wifes block character with another block character🙄
